Psalms 149

1 Alleluia. Sing to the Lord a new song. His praise is in the Church of the saints.	1 Alleluia! Chantez à Yahvé un chant nouveau: sa louange dans l'assemblée des siens!
2 Let Israel rejoice in him who made them, and let the sons of Zion exult in their king.	2 Joie pour Israël en son auteur, pour les fils de Sion, allégresse en leur roi,
3 Let them praise his name in chorus. Let them sing psalms to him with the timbrel and the psaltery.	3 louange à son nom par la danse, pour lui, jeu de harpe et de tambour!
4 For the Lord is well pleased with his people, and he will exalt the meek unto salvation.	4 Car Yahvé se complaît en son peuple, de salut il pare les humbles,
5 The saints will exult in glory. They will rejoice upon their couches.	5 les siens jubilent de gloire, ils acclament depuis leur place:
6 The exultations of God will be in their throat, and two-edged swords will be in their hands:	6 les éloges de Dieu à pleine gorge, à pleines mains l'épée à deux tranchants;
7 to obtain vindication among the nations, chastisements among the peoples,	7 pour exercer sur les peuples vengeance, sur les nations le châtiment,
8 to bind their kings with shackles and their nobles with manacles of iron,	8 pour lier de chaînes leurs rois, d'entraves de fer leurs notables,
9 to obtain judgment over them, as it has been written. This is glory for all his saints. Alleluia.	9 pour leur appliquer la sentence écrite: gloire en soit à tous les siens!
