NEW AMERICAN BIBLEVULGATA
1 A psalm of David. Give to the LORD, you heavenly beings, give to the LORD glory and might;1 Psalmus cantici, in dedicatione domus David.
2 Give to the LORD the glory due God's name. Bow down before the LORD'S holy splendor!2 Exaltabo te, Domine, quoniam suscepisti me,
nec delectasti inimicos meos super me.
3 The voice of the LORD is over the waters; the God of glory thunders, the LORD, over the mighty waters.3 Domine Deus meus, clamavi ad te, et sanasti me.
4 The voice of the LORD is power; the voice of the LORD is splendor.4 Domine, eduxisti ab inferno animam meam ;
salvasti me a descendentibus in lacum.
5 The voice of the LORD cracks the cedars; the LORD splinters the cedars of Lebanon,5 Psallite Domino, sancti ejus ;
et confitemini memoriæ sanctitatis ejus.
6 Makes Lebanon leap like a calf, and Sirion like a young bull.6 Quoniam ira in indignatione ejus,
et vita in voluntate ejus :
ad vesperum demorabitur fletus,
et ad matutinum lætitia.
7 The voice of the LORD strikes with fiery flame;7 Ego autem dixi in abundantia mea :
Non movebor in æternum.
8 the voice of the LORD rocks the desert; the LORD rocks the desert of Kadesh.8 Domine, in voluntate tua præstitisti decori meo virtutem ;
avertisti faciem tuam a me, et factus sum conturbatus.
9 The voice of the LORD twists the oaks and strips the forests bare. All in his palace say, "Glory!"9 Ad te, Domine, clamabo,
et ad Deum meum deprecabor.
10 The LORD sits enthroned above the flood! The LORD reigns as king forever!10 Quæ utilitas in sanguine meo,
dum descendo in corruptionem ?
numquid confitebitur tibi pulvis,
aut annuntiabit veritatem tuam ?
11 May the LORD give might to his people; may the LORD bless his people with peace!11 Audivit Dominus, et misertus est mei ;
Dominus factus est adjutor meus.
12 Convertisti planctum meum in gaudium mihi ;
conscidisti saccum meum, et circumdedisti me lætitia :
13 ut cantet tibi gloria mea, et non compungar.
Domine Deus meus, in æternum confitebor tibi.
