1 Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?	1 Por que se amotinam as nações, e os povos maquinam planos vãos?
2 The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying,	2 Os reis da terra sublevam-se e os príncipes coligam-se contra o Senhor e contra o seu Messias:
3 Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.	3 "Quebremos (disseram) as suas cadeias e sacudamos de nós os seus laços!"
4 He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.	4 Aquele que habita nos céus ri-se, o Senhor zomba deles,
5 Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.	5 Ele lhes fala então na sua ira, e os aterroriza no seu furor:
6 Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.	6 "Eu, porém, constituí o meu rei sobre Sião, meu monte santo!"
7 I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.	7 Promulgarei o decreto do Senhor: O Senhor disse-me: "Tu és meu filho, eu hoje te gerei.
8 Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.	8 Pede-me, e eu te darei as nações em herança, e em teu domínio os confins da terra.
9 Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.	9 Tu as governarás com vara de ferro, quebrá-las-ás qual vaso do oleiro."
10 Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth.	10 E agora, ó reis, atendei; instruí-vos, vós que governais a terra.
11 Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.	11 Servi ao Senhor com temor, e louvai-o com alegria; com temor
12 Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.	12 prestai-lhe vassalagem, para que não se ire, e não apareçais fora do caminho (da justiça),
	13 quando daqui a pouco se incendiar a sua indignação: Bem-aventurados todos os que se acolhem a ele.
