A karvezetőnek. Dávid zsoltára. Ének. | 1 For the leader. A psalm of David; a song. |
Fölkel Isten, és elszélednek ellenségei, elfutnak előle, akik gyűlölik őt. | 2 God will arise for battle; the enemy will be scattered; those who hate God will flee. |
Ahogyan a füst eloszlik, úgy enyésznek el, ahogyan a viasz elolvad a tűzön, Isten előtt a bűnösök úgy vesznek el! | 3 The wind will disperse them like smoke; as wax is melted by fire, so the wicked will perish before God. |
Az igazak azonban örülnek és ujjonganak Isten színe előtt, s vigadoznak örömükben. | 4 Then the just will be glad; they will rejoice before God; they will celebrate with great joy. |
Mondjatok éneket Istennek, zengjetek zsoltárt nevének, Készítsetek utat annak, aki a felhőkön érkezik: Úr az ő neve. Ujjongjatok őelőtte, | 5 Sing to God, praise the divine name; exalt the rider of the clouds. Rejoice before this God whose name is the LORD. |
aki az árvák atyja, özvegyek bírája, Isten az ő szentséges hajlékában. | 6 Father of the fatherless, defender of widows-- this is the God whose abode is holy, |
Isten, aki lakást ad a házban az elhagyottnak, a foglyokat kivezeti a bőségre, a lázadókat azonban a sivatagban hagyja. | 7 Who gives a home to the forsaken, who leads prisoners out to prosperity, while rebels live in the desert. |
Isten, amikor néped élén kivonultál, amikor a sivatagon áthaladtál, | 8 God, when you went forth before your people, when you marched through the desert, Selah |
megremegett a föld, csepegtek az egek, a Sínai Istenének színe előtt, Izrael Istenének színe előtt. | 9 The earth quaked, the heavens shook, before God, the One of Sinai, before God, the God of Israel. |
Bőséges esőt adtál örökségednek, Isten, s ha ellankadt, te felüdítetted. | 10 You claimed a land as your own, O God; |
Nyájad megtelepedett rajta, jóságodban, Isten, gondját viselted a szegénynek. | 11 your people settled there. There you poured abundant rains, God, graciously given to the poor in their need. |
Az Úr mondja a szót; Szüzek serege hozza az örömhírt: | 12 All you people so numerous, |
»A seregek királyai futva futnak, a háznak szépe zsákmányt osztogat. | 13 b) Every household will share the booty, |
Ti pedig békén pihentek az aklok között, akárcsak az ezüstszárnyú galambok, halvány, aranyszínű tollakkal. | 14 c) its wings covered with yellow gold." |
Amikor a Mindenható szétszórja rajta a királyokat, hótól fehérlik a Szelmon.« | 15 When the Almighty routed the kings there, the spoils were scattered like snow on Zalmon. |
A Básán hegye Isten hegye, a Básán hegye sok ormú hegy. | 16 You high mountains of Bashan, you rugged mountains of Bashan, |
Mit nézitek irigyen, ti sok ormú hegyek, a hegyet, amelyen Isten tetszéssel lakott? Bizony, ott fog lakni az Úr örökké! | 17 You rugged mountains, why look with envy at the mountain where God has chosen to dwell, where the LORD resides forever? |
Tízezernél is több a harci szekere Istennek: bevonul az Úr a Sínairól szentélyébe. | 18 God's chariots were myriad, thousands upon thousands; from Sinai the Lord entered the holy place. |
Felvonultál a magaslatra, foglyokat ejtettél; Hódolati ajándékként embereket fogadtál, hogy még a pártütők is az Úristennél lakjanak. | 19 You went up to its lofty height; you took captives, received slaves as tribute. No rebels can live in the presence of God. |
Áldott legyen az Úr minden nap! Üdvösségünk Istene hordoz minket. | 20 Blessed be the Lord day by day, God, our salvation, who carries us. Selah |
A mi Istenünk szabadító Isten, s az Úr, az Úr a halálból is kivezet minket. | 21 Our God is a God who saves; escape from death is in the LORD God's hands. |
De Isten összezúzza az ő ellenségei fejét, a bűneikben járók bozontos koponyáját. | 22 God will crush the skulls of the enemy, the hairy heads of those who walk in sin. |
Így szól az Úr: »Hazahozlak Básánból, a tenger fenekéről is visszahozlak, | 23 The Lord has said: "Even from Bashan I will fetch them, fetch them even from the depths of the sea. |
hogy lábad vérben gázoljon és kutyáid nyelve is részt kapjon az ellenségből.« | 24 You will wash your feet in your enemy's blood; the tongues of your dogs will lap it up." |
Látták, Isten, amint bevonultál, Istenem, királyom, bevonulásod a szentélybe. | 25 Your procession comes into view, O God, your procession into the holy place, my God and king. |
Elöl mennek az énekesek, utánuk a kobzosok, középen a dobverő leányok. | 26 The singers go first, the harpists follow; in their midst girls sound the timbrels. |
»Áldjátok gyülekezetekben az Úr Istent, akik Izrael forrásából származtok.« | 27 In your choirs, bless God; bless the LORD, you from Israel's assemblies. |
Ott az ifjú Benjamin aki vezeti őket, Júda fejedelmei vezéreikkel, Zebulon fejedelmei, Naftali fejedelmei. | 28 In the lead is Benjamin, few in number; there the princes of Judah, a large throng, the princes of Zebulun, the princes of Naphtali, too. |
Mutasd meg, Isten, hatalmadat; Erősítsd meg, Isten, amit köztünk műveltél. | 29 Summon again, O God, your power, the divine power you once showed for us. |
Jeruzsálemi templomodba királyok hozzanak neked ajándékot. | 30 Show it from your temple on behalf of Jerusalem, that kings may bring you tribute. |
Fenyítsd meg a nádas vadját, a népek tehenei között a bikák csordáját: boruljanak le ezüst kincseikkel. Szórd szét a háborúra vágyó népeket! | 31 Roar at the wild beast of the reeds, the herd of mighty bulls, the lords of nations; scatter the nations that delight in war. |
Hadd jöjjenek ide Egyiptom nagyjai, Etiópia sietve emelje kezét Istenhez. | 32 Exact rich tribute from lower Egypt, from upper Egypt, gold and silver; make Ethiopia extend its hands to God. |
Föld országai, Istennek énekeljetek, zengjetek az Úrnak dicséretet, zengjetek Istennek, | 33 You kingdoms of the earth, sing to God; chant the praises of the Lord, Selah |
aki kezdettől fogva az egek egén trónol; Íme onnan hallatja szavát, hatalmának szavát. | 34 Who rides the heights of the ancient heavens, whose voice is thunder, mighty thunder. |
Magasztaljátok Isten dicsőségét. Az ő felsége honol Izrael felett, az ő ereje a fellegek között. | 35 Confess the power of God, whose majesty protects Israel, whose power is in the sky. |
Csodálatos vagy Isten a te szentélyedben! Izrael Istene ad erőt és hatalmat népének. Áldott legyen Isten! | 36 Awesome is God in his holy place, the God of Israel, who gives power and strength to his people. Blessed be God! |
