| 1 Depois disto tive uma visão: Uma porta estava aberta no céu, e a voz, aquela primeira voz que eu tinha ouvido, como de trombeta, falava comigo, dizendo: "Sobe aqui, e mostrar-te-ei as coisas que devem acontecer depois destas." | 1 After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter. |
| 2 Logo caí em êxtase. E eis que um trono estava colocado no céu, sobre o qual trono estava alguém sentado. | 2 And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne. |
| 3 Aquele que estava sentado era no aspecto semelhante a uma pedra de jaspe e de sardónica; e em volta do trono estava um arco-íris que se assemelhava à cor de esmeralda. | 3 And he that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone: and there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald. |
| 4 Em volta do trono, (estavam outros) vinte e quatro tronos, e sobre estes tronos estavam sentados vinte e quatro anciães, vestidos de roupas brancas, (tendo) em suas cabeças coroas de ouro. | 4 And round about the throne were four and twenty seats: and upon the seats I saw four and twenty elders sitting, clothed in white raiment; and they had on their heads crowns of gold. |
| 5 Do trono partem relâmpagos, vozes e trovões. Diante do trono ardem sete lâmpadas ardentes, que são os sete espíritos de Deus. | 5 And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices: and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God. |
| 6 Em frente do trono há como que um mar de vidro semelhante a cristal, e, no meio do trono e em volta do trono, quatro animais cheios de olhos por diante e por detrás. | 6 And before the throne there was a sea of glass like unto crystal: and in the midst of the throne, and round about the throne, were four beasts full of eyes before and behind. |
| 7 O primeiro animal é semelhante a um leão; o segundo semelhante a um novilho; o terceiro tem o rosto como de homem, e o quarto é semelhante a uma águia que voa. | 7 And the first beast was like a lion, and the second beast like a calf, and the third beast had a face as a man, and the fourth beast was like a flying eagle. |
| 8 Os quatro animais têm cada um seis asas, e em volta e por dentro estão cheios de olhos, e não cessam, dia e noite, de dizer: "Santo, Santo, Santo, é o Senhor Deus, o Omnipotente, o que era, que é, e que vem. | 8 And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come. |
| 9 E, quando aqueles animais dão glória, honra e acção de graças ao que está sentado sobre o trono e que vive pelos séculos dos séculos, | 9 And when those beasts give glory and honour and thanks to him that sat on the throne, who liveth for ever and ever, |
| 10 os vinte e quatro anciães prostram-se diante do que está sentado no trono e adoram o que vive pelos séculos dos séculos, e lançam as suas coroas diante do trono, dizendo: | 10 The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying, |
| 11 "Tu és digno, ó Senhor, nosso Deus, de receber a glória, a honra e o poder, porque criaste todas as coisas, e pela tua vontade é que elas receberam a existência e foram criadas." | 11 Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created. |
