| 1 Não há, pois, agora nenhuma condenação para os que estão em Jesus Cristo. | 1 Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, who are not walking according to the flesh. |
| 2 Com efeito, a lei do espirito de vida em Jesus Cristo me livrou da lei do pecado e da morte. | 2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has freed me from the law of sin and death. |
| 3 Porquanto, o que era impossível à lei, porque se achava sem força por causa da carne. Deus o realizou, enviando seu Filho em carne semelhante à do pecado, por causa do pecado condenou o pecado na carne, | 3 For though this was impossible under the law, because it was weakened by the flesh, God sent his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and because of sin, in order to condemn sin in the flesh, |
| 4 para que a justiça prescrita pela lei fosse cumprida em nós, que não andamos segundo a carne, mas segundo o espírito. | 4 so that the justification of the law might be fulfilled in us. For we are not walking according to the flesh, but according to the spirit. |
| 5 Os que são segundo a carne, gostam das coisas que são da carne; mas os que são segundo o espírito gostam das coisas que são do espirito. | 5 For those who are in agreement with the flesh are mindful of the things of the flesh. But those who are in agreement with the spirit are mindful of the things of the spirit. |
| 6 Ora a aspiração da carne é morte, e a aspiração do espírito é vida e paz. | 6 For the prudence of the flesh is death. But the prudence of the spirit is life and peace. |
| 7 Porque a aspiração da carne é inimiga de Deus, pois não está sujeita à lei de Deus, nem mesmo pode estar. | 7 And the wisdom of the flesh is inimical to God. For it is not subject to the law of God, nor can it be. |
| 8 E os que estão na carne, não podem agradar a Deus. | 8 So those who are in the flesh are not able to please God. |
| 9 Vós, porém, não estais na carne, mas no espírito, se é que o Espírito de Deus habita em vós. Se algum não tem o Espirito de Cristo, não é dele. | 9 And you are not in the flesh, but in the spirit, if it is true that the Spirit of God lives within you. But if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to him. |
| 10 Se, pois, Cristo está em vós, o corpo verdadeiramente está morto por causa do pecado, mas o espirito é vida, graças à justiça. | 10 But if Christ is within you, then the body is indeed dead, concerning sin, but the spirit truly lives, because of justification. |
| 11 E, se o Espírito daquele que ressuscitou a Jesus dos mortos, habita em vós, ele, que ressuscitou a Jesus Cristo dos mortos, também dará vida aos vossos corpos mortais, por meio do seu Espírito, que habita em vós. | 11 But if the Spirit of him who raised up Jesus from the dead lives within you, then he who raised up Jesus Christ from the dead shall also enliven your mortal bodies, by means of his Spirit living within you. |
| 12 Portanto, Irmãos, não somos devedores à carne, para que vivamos segundo a carne. | 12 Therefore, brothers, we are not debtors to the flesh, so as to live according to the flesh. |
| 13 Efectivamente, se viverdes segundo a carne, morrereis (para a vida da graça), mas se, pelo espirito, fizerdes morrer as obras da carne, vivereis. | 13 For if you live according to the flesh, you will die. But if, by the Spirit, you mortify the deeds of the flesh, you shall live. |
| 14 Porque todos aqueles que são conduzidos pelo Espírito de Deus, são filhos de Deus. | 14 For all those who are led by the Spirit of God are the sons of God. |
| 15 Com efeito, não recebestes o espírito de escravidão para estardes novamente com temor, mas recebestes o espírito de adopção (de filhos), mercê do qual clamamos: "Abba, Pai." | 15 And you have not received, again, a spirit of servitude in fear, but you have received the Spirit of the adoption of sons, in whom we cry out: “Abba, Father!” |
| 16 O mesmo Espírito dá testemunho ao nosso espírito, de que somos filhos de Deus. | 16 For the Spirit himself renders testimony to our spirit that we are the sons of God. |
| 17 Se (somos) filhos, também (somos) herdeiros: herdeiros de Deus e co-herdeiros de Cristo; mas isto, se sofrermos com ele, para ser com ele glorificados. | 17 But if we are sons, then we are also heirs: certainly heirs of God, but also co-heirs with Christ, yet in such a way that, if we suffer with him, we shall also be glorified with him. |
| 18 Sim, eu tenho por certo que os sofrimentos do tempo presente não têm proporção com a glória vindoura, que se manifestara em nós. | 18 For I consider that the sufferings of this time are not worthy to be compared with that future glory which shall be revealed in us. |
| 19 Pelo que este mundo espera ansiosamente a manifestação dos filhos de Deus. | 19 For the anticipation of the creature anticipates the revelation of the sons of God. |
| 20 De facto, o mundo foi sujeito à vaidade, não por seu querer, mas pelo daquele que o sujeitou com a esperança | 20 For the creature was made subject to emptiness, not willingly, but for the sake of the One who made it subject, unto hope. |
| 21 de que também o mundo será livre de sujeição à corrupção, para participar da liberdade gloriosa dos filhos de Deus. | 21 For the creature itself shall also be delivered from the servitude of corruption, into the liberty of the glory of the sons of God. |
| 22 Porque sabemos que todas as criaturas gemem e estão como que com dores de parto até agora. | 22 For we know that every creature groans inwardly, as if giving birth, even until now; |
| 23 E não só elas, mas também nós, que temos as primícias do Espirito; também gememos dentro de nós mesmos, esperando a adopção (de filhos de Deus), a redenção do nosso corpo. | 23 and not only these, but also ourselves, since we hold the first-fruits of the Spirit. For we also groan within ourselves, anticipating our adoption as the sons of God, and the redemption of our body. |
| 24 Com efeito, na esperança é que fomos salvos. Ora a esperança que se vê, não é esperança; porque, como esperar aquilo que se vê? | 24 For we have been saved by hope. But a hope which is seen is not hope. For when a man sees something, why would he hope? |
| 25 E, se esperamos o que não vemos, com paciência o esperamos. | 25 But since we hope for what we do not see, we wait with patience. |
| 26 O Espírito ajuda também a nossa fraqueza, porque não sabemos o que havemos de pedir, como convém, mas o mesmo Espírito ora por nós com gemidos inefáveis. | 26 And similarly, the Spirit also helps our weakness. For we do not know how to pray as we ought, but the Spirit himself asks on our behalf with ineffable sighing. |
| 27 E o que perscruta os corações, sabe o que deseja o Espirito, porque ele pede segundo (a vontade de) Deus pelos santos. | 27 And he who examines hearts knows what the Spirit seeks, because he asks on behalf of the saints in accordance with God. |
| 28 Ora nós sabemos que todas as coisas concorrem para o bem daqueles que amam a Deus, para o bem daqueles que, segundo o seu desígnio, foram chamados. | 28 And we know that, for those who love God, all things work together unto good, for those who, in accordance with his purpose, are called to be saints. |
| 29 Porque os que ele conheceu na sua presciência, também os predestinou para serem conformes à imagem de seu Filho, para que ele seja o primogênito entre muitos irmãos. | 29 For those whom he foreknew, he also predestinated, in conformity with the image of his Son, so that he might be the Firstborn among many brothers. |
| 30 E aqueles que predestinou, também os chamou; e aqueles que chamou, também os justificou; e aqueles que justificou, também os glorificou. | 30 And those whom he predestinated, he also called. And those whom he called, he also justified. And those whom he justified, he also glorified. |
| 31 Que diremos, pois, à vista destas coisas? Se Deus é por nós, quem será contra nós? | 31 So, what should we say about these things? If God is for us, who is against us? |
| 32 O que não poupou nem o seu próprio Filho, mas por nós todos o entregou ( à morte), como não nos dará também com ele todas as coisas? | 32 He who did not spare even his own Son, but handed him over for the sake of us all, how could he not also, with him, have given us all things? |
| 33 Quem acusará os escolhidos de Deus? Deus é que justifica. | 33 Who will make an accusation against the elect of God? God is the One who justifies; |
| 34 Quem os condenará? Jesus Cristo é o que morreu, e ainda mais o que ressuscitou, o que está à direita de Deus, o que também intercede por nós. | 34 who is the one who condemns? Christ Jesus who has died, and who has indeed also risen again, is at the right hand of God, and even now he intercedes for us. |
| 35 Quem nos separará, pois, do amor de Cristo? (Será) a tribulação? a angústia? a perseguição? a fome? a nudez? o perigo? a espada? | 35 Then who will separate us from the love of Christ? Tribulation? Or anguish? Or famine? Or nakedness? Or peril? Or persecution? Or the sword? |
| 36 Segundo está escrito: Por ti somos entregues à morte todos os dias, somos reputados como ovelhas para o matadouro (Ps. 43, 23). | 36 For it is as it has been written: “For your sake, we are being put to death all day long. We are being treated like sheep for the slaughter.” |
| 37 Mas de todas estas coisas saímos mais que vencedores por aquele que nos amou. | 37 But in all these things we overcome, because of him who has loved us. |
| 38 Porque eu estou certo que nem a morte, nem a vida, nem os anjos, nem os principados, nem as coisas presentes, nem as futuras, nem as virtudes, | 38 For I am certain that neither death, nor life, nor Angels, nor Principalities, nor Powers, nor the present things, nor the future things, nor strength, |
| 39 nem a altura, nem á profundidade, nem nenhuma outra criatura nos poderá separar do amor que Deus nos manifesta em Jesus Cristo Nosso Senhor. | 39 nor the heights, nor the depths, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. |
