A palavra do Senhor (pesa) sobre a terra de Hadrac, repousa em Damasco, porque ao Senhor pertencem as cidades de Aram, assim como todas vizinhas as tribos de Israel. | 1 An Oracle The word of the LORD is against the land of Hadrach and will rest upon Damascus. For to the LORD belong the cities of Aram, even as all the tribes of Israel; |
| 2 (Este oráculo é) também contra Hamat, que confina com Damasco e contra Tiro e Sidónia, apesar da sua sabedoria. | 2 Hamath also, which borders thereon, Tyre and Sidon, though they are very wise. |
| 3 Tiro levantou as suas fortificações, amontoou prata como terra, e ouro como lama das ruas. | 3 Tyre has built herself a rampart, and heaped up silver like dust, and gold like the dirt of the streets. |
| 4 Eis que o Senhor se apoderará dela, precipitará a sua fortaleza no mar, e será devorada pelo fogo. | 4 But lo, the Lord will strip her of her possessions and hurl her wealth into the sea, and she shall be devoured by fire. |
| 5 Ascalon verá isto e ficará a tremer; vê-lo-á também Gaza e ficará possuída de intensa dor; Acaron se afligirá, porque foi enganada a sua esperança; em Gaza não haverá mais rei, e Ascalon ficará despovoada. | 5 Ashkelon shall see it, and be afraid; Gaza too, and shall writhe in anguish; Ekron also, because its hopes are confounded. The king shall perish from Gaza; Ashkelon shall be uninhabited; |
| 6 O estrangeiro (conquistador) terá a sua residência em Azot, e eu destruirei a soberba dos Filisteus. | 6 a mongrel people shall dwell in Ashdod; and I will make an end of the pride of Philistia. |
| 7 Tirarei da boca deste povo o sangue, e as suas abominações dentre os seus dentes; ele também será um resto para o nosso Deus, será como uma família em Judá; Acaron será tratado como um Jebuseu. | 7 I will take away its blood from its mouth, and its abominations from between its teeth; it too shall be a remnant for our God; it shall be like a clan in Judah, and Ekron shall be like the Jebusites. |
| 8 Acamparei em volta da minha casa, guardando-a das idas e vindas (do inimigo); o opressor não passará mais por aí, porque eu olho agora para ela com olhos favoráveis. | 8 Then I will encamp at my house as a guard, so that none shall march to and fro; no oppressor shall again overrun them, for now I see with my own eyes. |
| 9 Salta de alegria, ó filha de Sião, enche-te de júbilo, ó filha de Jerusalém. Eis que o teu rei vem a ti, justo e vitorioso; ele é humilde e vem montado sobre um jumento, sobre o potrinho duma jumenta. | 9 Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion! Shout aloud, O daughter of Jerusalem! Lo, your king comes to you; triumphant and victorious is he, humble and riding on an ass, on a colt the foal of an ass. |
| 10 Então exterminarei os carros de guerra de Efraim e os cavalos de Jerusalém; os arcos que servem na guerra serão quebrados. Ele anunciará a paz às nações; o seu poder se estenderá de um mar até ao outro mar, desde o rio até às extremidades da terra. | 10 I will cut off the chariot from Ephraim and the war horse from Jerusalem; and the battle bow shall be cut off, and he shall command peace to the nations; his dominion shall be from sea to sea, and from the River to the ends of the earth. |
| 11 Quanto a ti, também, por causa do sangue da tua aliança, farei sair os teus cativos da fossa em que não há água. | 11 As for you also, because of the blood of my covenant with you, I will set your captives free from the waterless pit. |
| 12 Tornai para a vossa praça forte, ó cativos (cheios) de esperança: hoje também vos anuncio que vos darei dobrados bens. | 12 Return to your stronghold, O prisoners of hope; today I declare that I will restore to you double. |
| 13 Porque reteso Judá como um arco, ponho Efraim como flecha; suscitarei os teus filhos, ó Sião, contra os teus filhos, ó Grécia; e te farei (irresistível) como a espada dos valentes. | 13 For I have bent Judah as my bow; I have made Ephraim its arrow. I will brandish your sons, O Zion, over your sons, O Greece, and wield you like a warrior's sword. |
| 14 O Senhor Deus aparecerá sobre eles (os Judeus), e a sua flecha partirá como relâmpago; O Senhor Deus os animará pelo som da trombeta e marchará entre as borrascas do meio-dia. | 14 Then the LORD will appear over them, and his arrow go forth like lightning; the Lord GOD will sound the trumpet, and march forth in the whirlwinds of the south. |
| 15 O Senhor dos exércitos os protegerá; eles devorarão (os seus inimigos) e os sujeitarão com as pedras das suas fundas; bebendo (o seu sangue), se embriagarão como com vinho, ficarão cheios como os copos e como os ângulos do altar. | 15 The LORD of hosts will protect them, and they shall devour and tread down the slingers; and they shall drink their blood like wine, and be full like a bowl, drenched like the corners of the altar. |
| 16 O Senhor seu Deus os salvará naquele dia, como rebanho do seu povo; à maneira de pedras santas, brilharão sobre a sua terra. | 16 On that day the LORD their God will save them for they are the flock of his people; for like the jewels of a crown they shall shine on his land. |
| 17 Que felicidade, que beleza a dele! O trigo dará crescimento aos jovens, e o vinho novo às virgens. | 17 Yea, how good and how fair it shall be! Grain shall make the young men flourish, and new wine the maidens. |
