| 1 De novo levantei os olhos e olhei : vi quatro carros que saíam dentre duas montanhas, e estas duas montanhas eram montanhas de bronze. | 1 And again I lifted my eyes and saw, and behold, four chariots came out from between two mountains; and the mountains were mountains of bronze. |
| 2 No primeiro carro havia cavalos vermelhos, no segundo carro havia cavalos negros, | 2 The first chariot had red horses, the second black horses, |
| 3 no terceiro carro havia cavalos brancos, e no quarto carro havia cavalos malhados, fortes. | 3 the third white horses, and the fourth chariot dappled gray horses. |
| 4 Tomei a palavra e disse ao anjo que falava comigo: Que significam estas coisas, meu Senhor? | 4 Then I said to the angel who talked with me, "What are these, my lord?" |
| 5 O anjo respondeu-me: Estes são os quatro ventos do céu, que saem para estar diante do Senhor de toda a terra (a fim de executar as suas ordens). | 5 And the angel answered me, "These are going forth to the four winds of heaven, after presenting themselves before the LORD of all the earth. |
| 6 Os cavalos negros, seguem para a terra do aquilão, os brancos para oriente, os baios para a terra do meio-dia. | 6 The chariot with the black horses goes toward the north country, the white ones go toward the west country, and the dappled ones go toward the south country." |
| 7 Os (cavalos) vigoroso, logo que saíram, pediram para percorrer toda a terra. E (o anjo) disse-Ihes: Ide, percorrei a terra. E eles percorreram a terra. | 7 When the steeds came out, they were impatient to get off and patrol the earth. And he said, "Go, patrol the earth." So they patrolled the earth. |
| 8 Depois chamou-me e disse: Os que se dirigiram para a terra do aquilão, fizeram repousar o meu espírito na terra do aquilão. | 8 Then he cried to me, "Behold, those who go toward the north country have set my Spirit at rest in the north country." |
| 9 Foi-me dirigida a palavra do Senhor, nestes termos : | 9 And the word of the LORD came to me: |
| 10 Recebe o que te derem os exilados, as ofertas de Holdai, Tobias e Idaia; irás neste mesmo dia e entrarás em casa de Josias, filho de Sofonias, os quais vieram de Babilônia. | 10 "Take from the exiles Heldai, Tobijah, and Jedaiah, who have arrived from Babylon; and go the same day to the house of Josiah, the son of Zephaniah. |
| 11 Tomarás prata e ouro, e farás coroas, que porás sobre a cabeça do sumo sacerdote Josué, filho de Josedec. | 11 Take from them silver and gold, and make a crown, and set it upon the head of Joshua, the son of Jehozadak, the high priest; |
| 12 Falar-lhe-ás desta maneira: Assim fala o Senhor dos exércitos: Eis o homem cujo nome é Germen: onde ele está, alguma coisa há-de germinar. Ele é que há-de edificar o templo do Senhor. | 12 and say to him, 'Thus says the LORD of hosts, "Behold, the man whose name is the Branch: for he shall grow up in his place, and he shall build the temple of the LORD. |
| 13 Reconstruirá o templo do Senhor, usará insígnias reais, sentar-se-á e dominará sobre o seu trono; será sacerdote sobre o seu trono, e haverá entre os dois uma perfeita paz. | 13 It is he who shall build the temple of the LORD, and shall bear royal honor, and shall sit and rule upon his throne. And there shall be a priest by his throne, and peaceful understanding shall be between them both."' |
| 14 Estas coroas serão para Helem, Tobias, Idaia e Hen, filho de Sofonias, como um monumento no templo do Senhor. | 14 And the crown shall be in the temple of the LORD as a reminder to Heldai, Tobijah, Jedaiah, and Josiah the son of Zephaniah. |
| 15 Homens que estão longe, virão e trabalharão na fábrica do templo do Senhor, e vós sabereis que o Senhor dos exércitos é que me enviou a vós. Isto acontecerá, se ouvirdes com submissão a voz do Senhor vosso Deus. | 15 "And those who are far off shall come and help to build the temple of the LORD; and you shall know that the LORD of hosts has sent me to you. And this shall come to pass, if you will diligently obey the voice of the LORD your God." |
