| 1 o Senhor falou a Moisés, dizendo: | 1 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying: |
| 2 Fala aos filhos de Israel, dizendo-lhes: Quando tiverdes entrado na ferra de Canaan, e cada um de vós possuir nela o que lhe tiver caído por sorte, serão estes os seus limites: | 2 Command the children of Israel, and then shalt say to them: When you are entered into the land of Chanaan, and it shall be fallen into your possession by lot, it shall be bounded by these limits: |
| 3 A parte meridional começará no deserto de Sin, que é perto de Edom, e terá por limite, a oriente, o Mar de Sal. | 3 The south side shall begin from the wilderness of Sin, which is by Edom: and shall have the most salt sea for its furthest limits eastward: |
| 4 Este limite irá rodeando a parte austral pela subida do Escorpião, de sorte que passe por Sena e chegue desde o meio-dia até Cadesbarne, donde irá até à aldeia chamada Adar, e se estenderá até Asemona, | 4 Which limits shall go round on the south side by the ascent of the Scorpion and so into Senna, and reach toward the south as far as Cadesbarne, from whence the frontiers shall go out to the town called Adar, and shall reach as far as Asemona. |
| 5 irá girando desde Asemona até à torrente do Egito, e terminará no mar. | 5 And the limits shall fetch a compass from Asemona to the torrent of Egypt, and shall end in the shore of the great sea. |
| 6 A parte ocidental começará no Mar Grande, e no mesmo mar terminará. | 6 And the west side shall begin from the great sea, and the same shall be the end thereof. |
| 7 Os limites pela parte setentrional começarão desde o Mar Grande, e chegarão até ao monte altíssimo, | 7 But toward the north side the borders shall begin from the great sea, reaching to the most high mountain, |
| 8 donde irão a Emath, até aos confins de Sedada, | 8 From which they shall come to Emath, as far as the borders of Sedada: |
| 9 e se estenderão até Zefrona, e até à aldeia de Enan; estes serão os limites pelo lado do aquilão. | 9 nod the limits shall go as far as Zephrona, and the village of Enan. These shall be the borders on the north side. |
| 10 Dali os limites para o oriente medir-se-ão desde a aldeia de Enan até Sefama, | 10 From thence they shall mark out the bounds towards the east side from the village of Enan unto Sephama. |
| 11 e de Sefama descerão a Rebla em frente à fonte de Dafnim; de lá se estenderão para o oriente até ao mar de Cenereth, | 11 And from Sephama the bounds shall go down to Rebla over against the fountain of Daphnis: from thence they shall come eastward to the sea of Cenereth, |
| 12 chegarão até ao Jordão, e finalmente terminarão no Mar de Sal. Vós possuireis esta terra segundo os seus limites em toda a volta. | 12 And shall reach as far as the Jordan, and at the last shall be closed in by the most salt sea. This shall be your land with its borders round about. |
| 13 Moisés ordenou aos filhos de Israel, dizendo: Esta será a terra que vós possuireis por sorte, e que o Senhor mandou que se desse os nove tribos e à meia tribo, | 13 And Moses commanded the children of Israel, saying: This shall be the land which you shall possess by lot, and which the Lord hath commanded to be given to the nine tribes, and to the half tribe. |
| 14 porque a tribo dos filhos de Ruben, segundo ás suas famílias, e a tribo dos filhos de Gad, segundo o número das suas famílias, e também a meia tribo de Manassés, | 14 For the tribe of the children of Ruben by their families, and the tribe of the children of Gad according to the number of their kindreds, and half of the tribe of Manasses, |
| 15 isto é, duas tribos e meia, receberam a sua parte daquém do Jordão defronte de Jericó, para a banda do oriente. | 15 That is, two tribes and a half, have received their portion beyond the Jordan over against Jericho at the east side. |
| 16 Chefes propostos para a divisão da terra prometida. | 16 And the Lord said to Moses: |
| 17 O Senhor disse a Moisés: | 17 These are the names of the men, that shall divide the land unto you: Eleazar the priest, and Josue the son of Nun, |
| 18 Tomareis também um príncipe de cada tribo, | 18 And one prince of every tribe, |
| 19 cujos nomes são estes: Da tribo de Judá, Caleb, filho de Jefone: | 19 Whose names are these : Of the tribe of Juda, Caleb the son of Jephone. |
| 20 da tribo de Simeão, Samuel, filho de Amiud; | 20 Of the tribe of Simeon, Samuel the son of Ammiud. |
| 21 da tribo de Benjamim, Elidad, filho de Caleson; | 21 Of the tribe of Benjamin, Elidad the son of Chaselon. |
| 22 da tribo dos filhos de Dan, Boci, filho de Jogli; | 22 Of the tribe of the children of Dan, Bocci the son of Jogli. |
| 23 pelos filhos de José: da tribo de Manassés, Haniel, filho de Efod, | 23 Of the children of Joseph of the tribe of Manasses, Hanniel the son of Ephod. |
| 24 da tribo de Efraim, Camuel, filho de Seftan; | 24 Of the tribe of Ephraim, Camuel the son of Sephtan. |
| 25 da tribo de Zabulon, Elisafan, filho de Farnach; | 25 Of the tribe of Zabulon, Elisaphan the son of Pharnach. |
| 26 da tribo de Issacar, o príncipe Faltiel, filho de Ozan; | 26 Of the tribe of Issachar, Phaltiel the prince, the son of Ozan. |
| 27 da tribo de Ader, Aiud, filho de Samoli; | 27 Of the tribe of Aser, Ahiud the son of Salomi. |
| 28 da tribo de Neftali, Fedael, filho die Amiud. | 28 Of the tribe of Nephtali: Phedael the son of Ammiud. |
| 29 Estes são aqueles a quem o Senhor mandou que dividissem entre os filhos de Israel a terra de Canaan. | 29 These are they whom the Lord hath commanded to divide the land of Chanaan to the children of Israel,. |
