| 1 O Senhor falou a Moisés, dizendo; | 1 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying: |
| 2 Ordena aos filhos de Israel que te tragam azeite de oliveira puríssimo e claro, para manter continuamente acesas as lâmpadas, | 2 Command the children of Israel, that they bring unto thee the finest and dearest oil of olives, to furnish the lamps continually, |
| 3 fora do véu do testemunho no tabernáculo da reunião. Aarão as porá diante do Senhor, desde a tarde até pela manhã, com culto e rito perpétuo nas vossas gerações. | 3 Without the veil of the testimony in the tabernacle of the covenant. And Aaron shall set them from evening until morning before the Lord, by a perpetual service and rite in your generations. |
| 4 Serão sempre colocadas diante do Senhor, sobre o candeeiro muito limpo. | 4 They shall be set upon the most pure candlestick before the Lord continually. |
| 5 Tomarás também flor de farinha, e cozerás dela doze pães, cada um dos quais terá duas dízimas (do efi), | 5 Thou shalt take also fine hour, and shalt bake twelve leaves thereof, two tenths shall be in every loaf : |
| 6 e os porás sobre a mesa puríssima do Senhor, seis de uma parte e seis da outra: | 6 And thou shalt set them six and six one against another upon the most clean table before the Lord: |
| 7 porás sobre eles incenso lucidíssimo, para que o pão seja monumento de oferta feita ao Senhor. | 7 And thou shalt put upon them the dearest frankincense, that the bread may be for a memorial of the oblation of the Lord. |
| 8 Cada sábado se mudarão estes pães diante do Senhor, depois de terem sido recebidos dos filhos de Israel; é uma aliança perpétua. | 8 Every sabbath they shall be changed before the Lord, being received of the children of Israel by an everlasting covenant: |
| 9 Pertencerão a Aarão e a seus filhos, para os comerem no lugar santo, porque são coisa santíssima entre as oferendas feitas pelo fogo ao Senhor. É uma lei perpétua. | 9 And they shall be Aaron's and his sons', that they may eat them in the holy place: because it is most holy of the sacrifices of the Lord by a perpetual right. |
| 10 O filho de uma mulher israelita, que ela tivera de Egípcio que vivia entre os filhos de Israel, saiu fora e contendeu nos acampamentos com um Israelita. | 10 And behold there went out the son of a woman of Israel, whom she had of an Egyptian, among the children of Israel, and fell at words in the camp with a man of Israel. |
| 11 Tendo blasfemado e amaldiçoado o nome do Senhor, foi levado a Moisés (sua mãe chamava-se Salumite, filha de Dabri, da tribo de Dan), | 11 And when he had blasphemed the name, and had cursed it, he was brought to Moses: (now his mother was called Salumith, the daughter of Dabri, of the tribe of Dan:) |
| 12 e puseram-no em prisão, até saberem o que o Senhor ordenaria. | 12 And they put him into prison, till they might know what the Lord would command. |
| 13 O Senhor falou a Moisés, | 13 And the Lord spoke to Moses, |
| 14 dizendo: Tira o blasfemo para fora do arraial, e, todos os que o ouviram, ponham as suas mãos sobre a cabeça dele, e todo o povo o apedreje. | 14 Saying: Bring forth the blasphemer without the camp, and let them that heard him, put their hands upon his head, and let all the people stone him. |
| 15 Dirás aos filhos de Israel: O homem que amaldiçoar o seu Deus, levará o seu pecado; | 15 And thou shalt speak to the children of Israel: the man that curseth his God, shall bear his sin: |
| 16 o que blasfemar o nome do Senhor, será punido de morte; todo o povo o apedrejará, quer seja cidadão, quer seja forasteiro. O que blasfemar o nome do Senhor, seja punido de morte. | 16 And he that blasphemeth the name of the Lord, dying let him die: all the multitude shall stone him, whether he be a native or a stranger. He that blasphemeth the name of the Lord, dying let him die. |
| 17 O que ferir e matar um homem, seja punido de morte. | 17 He that striketh and killeth a man, dying let him die. |
| 18 O que ferir um animal, restituirá outro em seu lugar, isto é, animal por animal. | 18 He that killeth a beast, shall make it good, that is to say, shall give beast for beast. |
| 19 O que ferir qualquer dos seus compatriotas, assim como fez, assim se lhe fará a ele: | 19 He that giveth a blemish to any of his neighbours: as he hath done, so shall it be done to him: |
| 20 quebradura, por quebradura, olho por olho, dente por dente: qual for o mal que tiver feito, tal será o que há-de sofrer. | 20 Breach for breach, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, shall he restore. What blemish he gave, the like shall he be compelled to suffer. |
| 21 O que matar um jumento, restituirá outro. O que matar um homem, será punido (de morte): | 21 He that striketh a beast, shall render another. He that striketh a man shall be punished. |
| 22 Seja entre vós igual a justiça, quer delinquisse o forasteiro, quer o indígena. Eu sou o Senhor vosso Deus. | 22 Let there be equal judgment among you, whether he be a stranger, or a native that offends: because I am the Lord your God. |
| 23 Quando Moisés falou aos filhos de Israel, tiraram o que tinha blasfemado para fora dos acampamentos, e apedrejaram-no. Os filhos de Israel fizeram como o Senhor tinha ordenado a Moisés. | 23 And Moses spoke to the children of Israel: and they brought forth him that had blasphemed, without the camp, and they stoned him. And the children of Israel did as the Lord had commanded Moses. |
