| 1 Eis o que diz o Senhor a Ciro, seu ungido, a quem tomou pela mão, para derribar ante a sua face as nações, para desapertar o talabarte dos reis, para abrir diante dele as portas, sem que nenhuma lhe seja fechada. | 1 Thus says the LORD to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have grasped, to subdue nations before him and ungird the loins of kings, to open doors before him that gates may not be closed: |
| 2 Irei diante de ti, aplanarei os caminhos pedregosos, arrombarei as portas de bronze, quebrarei as trancas de ferro. | 2 "I will go before you and level the mountains, I will break in pieces the doors of bronze and cut asunder the bars of iron, |
| 3 Dar-te-ei tesouros escondidos, riquezas aferrolhadas, a fim de que saibas que eu sou o Senhor, o Deus de Israel, que te chamo pelo teu nome. | 3 I will give you the treasures of darkness and the hoards in secret places, that you may know that it is I, the LORD, the God of Israel, who call you by your name. |
| 4 Por amor de meu servo Jacob, e de Israel, meu escolhido, te chamei pelo teu nome; designei-te (para esta missão) antes que me conhecesses. | 4 For the sake of my servant Jacob, and Israel my chosen, I call you by your name, I surname you, though you do not know me. |
| 5 Eu sou o Senhor, e não há outro; fora de mim, não há Deus. Cingi-te, quando não me conhecias, | 5 I am the LORD, and there is no other, besides me there is no God; I gird you, though you do not know me, |
| 6 para que saibam (todos), desde o oriente ao poente, que nada há fora de mim. Eu sou o Senhor, não há outro. | 6 that men may know, from the rising of the sun and from the west, that there is none besides me; I am the LORD, and there is no other. |
| 7 Formo a luz e crio as trevas, faço a paz e mando o castigo (aos povos); sou eu, o Senhor, que faço todas estas coisas. | 7 I form light and create darkness, I make weal and create woe, I am the LORD, who do all these things. |
| 8 Derramai, ó céus, lá dessas alturas o vosso orvalho, e as nuvens façam chover a justiça! Abra-se a terra e brote a salvação; ao mesmo tempo faça germinar a justiça. Eu sou o Senhor que crio tudo isto. | 8 "Shower, O heavens, from above, and let the skies rain down righteousness; let the earth open, that salvation may sprout forth, and let it cause righteousness to spring up also; I the LORD have created it. |
| 9 Ai daquele que disputa contra o seu Criador (não sendo mais que um) vaso entre os vasos de terra. Porventura dirá o barro ao oficial que o maneja: Que fazes? A obra dirá ao oleiro: Não tens mãos? | 9 "Woe to him who strives with his Maker, an earthen vessel with the potter! Does the clay say to him who fashions it, 'What are you making? or 'Your work has no handles? |
| 10 Ai do que diz ao seu pai: Por que me geraste? E à sua mãe: Por que me deste à luz? | 10 Woe to him who says to a father, 'What are you begetting?' or to a woman, 'With what are you in travail?" |
| 11 Eis o que diz o Senhor, o Santo de Israel, aquele que o formou: Ousais perguntar-me as coisas futuras, interrogar-me acerca dos meus filhos e da obra de minhas mãos? | 11 Thus says the LORD, the Holy One of Israel, and his Maker: "Will you question me about my children, or command me concerning the work of my hands? |
| 12 Eu fiz a terra, e quem sobre ela criou o homem fui eu; as minhas mãos estenderam os céus, e a toda a sua milícia dou as minhas ordens. | 12 I made the earth, and created man upon it; it was my hands that stretched out the heavens, and I commanded all their host. |
| 13 Fui eu que o suscitei (a ele Ciro) para fazer justiça, e aplanarei todos os seus caminhos; ele reedificará a minha cidade e libertará os meus cativos, sem resgate nem presentes, diz o Senhor Deus dos exércitos. | 13 I have aroused him in righteousness, and I will make straight all his ways; he shall build my city and set my exiles free, not for price or reward," says the LORD of hosts. |
| 14 Eis o que diz o Senhor: O trabalho do Egito, o tráfico da Etiópia e os de Sabaim, homens de grande estatura, passarão para ti, serão teus. Caminharão atrás pagãos, de ti, irão com algemas nas mãos, adorar-te-ão e far-te-ão as suas súplicas, dizendo: Só em ti está Deus, e fora de ti não há Deus. | 14 Thus says the LORD: "The wealth of Egypt and the merchandise of Ethiopia, and the Sabeans, men of stature, shall come over to you and be yours, they shall follow you; they shall come over in chains and bow down to you. They will make supplication to you, saying: 'God is with you only, and there is no other, no god besides him.'" |
| 15 Tu verdadeiramente és um Deus escondido, Deus de Israel, ó Salvador. | 15 Truly, thou art a God who hidest thyself, O God of Israel, the Savior. |
| 16 Todos ficam confundidos e envergonhados, todos se vão cobertos de opróbrio, os fabricantes de ídolos. | 16 All of them are put to shame and confounded, the makers of idols go in confusion together. |
| 17 Israel recebeu do Senhor uma salvação eterna; vós (ó filhos de Jacob) não sereis confundidos, nem corareis de vergonha, pelos séculos dos séculos. | 17 But Israel is saved by the LORD with everlasting salvation; you shall not be put to shame or confounded to all eternity. |
| 18 Porque eis o que diz o Senhor, que criou os céus, o mesmo Deus que formou a terra, que a acabou e consolidou, que não fez dela um caos, mas que a formou para que fosse habitada: Eu sou o Senhor, e não há outro. | 18 For thus says the LORD, who created the heavens (he is God!), who formed the earth and made it (he established it; he did not create it a chaos, he formed it to be inhabited!): "I am the LORD, and there is no other. |
| 19 Não tenho falado às ocultas nalgum lugar tenebroso da terra. Não disse à linhagem de Jacob: Buscai-me em vão. Eu sou o Senhor, que falo a verdade, que anuncio o que é recto. | 19 I did not speak in secret, in a land of darkness; I did not say to the offspring of Jacob, 'Seek me in chaos.' I the LORD speak the truth, I declare what is right. |
| 20 Congregai-vos e vinde, aproximai-vos todos juntos, vós os que fostes salvos dentre as nações; insensatos se têm mostrado os que levam o seu ídolo de madeira, que dirigem as suas preces a um deus que não salva. | 20 "Assemble yourselves and come, draw near together, you survivors of the nations! They have no knowledge who carry about their wooden idols, and keep on praying to a god that cannot save. |
| 21 Falai, vinde, tomai conselho todos juntos. Quem anunciou estas coisas desde o princípio? Quem as predisse, há muito tempo? Porventura não fui eu, o Senhor? Não há outro Deus além de mim. Deus justo e salvador, não o há fora de mim. | 21 Declare and present your case; let them take counsel together! Who told this long ago? Who declared it of old? Was it not I, the LORD? And there is no other god besides me, a righteous God and a Savior; there is none besides me. |
| 22 Convertei-vos a mim, e sereis salvos, vós todos os povos da terra, porque eu sou Deus, e não há outro. | 22 "Turn to me and be saved, all the ends of the earth! For I am God, and there is no other. |
| 23 Jurei por mim mesmo; da minha boca sai a verdade; a minha palavra não será revogada: | 23 By myself I have sworn, from my mouth has gone forth in righteousness a word that shall not return: 'To me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear.' |
| 24 Todo o joelho se dobrará diante de mim, e toda a língua jurará (pelo meu nome). | 24 "Only in the LORD, it shall be said of me, are righteousness and strength; to him shall come and be ashamed, all who were incensed against him. |
| 25 Dir-se-á: A justiça e a força residem no Senhor. A ele virão e serão confundidos todos os que se lhe opõem. | 25 In the LORD all the offspring of Israel shall triumph and glory." |
| 26 No Senhor será justificada e glorificada toda a descendência de Israel. | |
