1 Ao mestre do coro. Segundo a melodia de "Os lírios". De Davide.	1 To the choirmaster. A Psalm of David. A Song. Let God arise, let his enemies be scattered; let those who hate him flee before him!
2 Salva-me, ó Deus, porque as águas (da tribulação) chegaram-me ao pescoço,	2 As smoke is driven away, so drive them away; as wax melts before fire, let the wicked perish before God!
3 Estou atolado num lodo profundo, e não encontro onde pôr pé; cheguei a um sítio de águas profundas, e já as ondas me cobrem.	3 But let the righteous be joyful; let them exult before God; let them be jubilant with joy!
4 Estou cansado de gritar, enrouqueceu a minha garganta; desfaleceram os meus olhos à espera do meu Deus.	4 Sing to God, sing praises to his name; lift up a song to him who rides upon the clouds; his name is the LORD, exult before him!
5 São mais que os cabelos da minha cabeça, aqueles que me aborrecem sem razão, são mais fortes que os meus ossos, os que me perseguem injustamente: porventura hei-de restituir o que não roubei?	5 Father of the fatherless and protector of widows is God in his holy habitation.
6 O Deus, tu conheces a minha insipiência, e os meus delitos não te são ocultos.	6 God gives the desolate a home to dwell in; he leads out the prisoners to prosperity; but the rebellious dwell in a parched land.
7 Não sejam confundidos por minha causa os que esperam em ti, Senhor, Senhor dos exércitos. Não se envergonhem por minha causa, os que te buscam, ó Deus de Israel.	7 O God, when thou didst go forth before thy people, when thou didst march through the wilderness, [Selah]
8 Pois por ti sofri afronta, foi coberto de confusão o meu rosto.	8 the earth quaked, the heavens poured down rain, at the presence of God; yon Sinai quaked at the presence of God, the God of Israel.
9 Tornei-me um estranho para os meus irmãos, e um desconhecido para os filhos de minha mãe.	9 Rain in abundance, O God, thou didst shed abroad; thou didst restore thy heritage as it languished;
10 e por causa do zelo pela casa de Deus.	10 thy flock found a dwelling in it; in thy goodness, O God, thou didst provide for the needy.
11 Mortifiquei pelo jejum a minha alma, e isto tornou-se-me em opróbrio.	11 The Lord gives the command; great is the host of those who bore the tidings:
12 Tomei por vestido um saco, e fui para eles objecto de escárnio.	12 "The kings of the armies, they flee, they flee!" The women at home divide the spoil,
13 Falam contra mim os que se sentam à porta (da cidade), e escarnecem-me os que bebem vinho.	13 though they stay among the sheepfolds-- the wings of a dove covered with silver, its pinions with green gold.
14 Porém, ó Senhor, a minha oração eleva-se a ti no tempo da graça, ó Deus; ouve-me segundo a tua grande bondade, segundo o teu auxílio fiel.	14 When the Almighty scattered kings there, snow fell on Zalmon.
15 Tira-me do lodo, para que não seja submergido, livra-me daqueles que me odeiam e da profundidade das águas (da tribulação).	15 O mighty mountain, mountain of Bashan; O many-peaked mountain, mountain of Bashan!
16 Não me afoguem as ondas das águas, nem me observa o abismo, nem a boca do poço (de tantas misérias) se feche sobre mim.	16 Why look you with envy, O many-peaked mountain, at the mount which God desired for his abode, yea, where the LORD will dwell for ever?
17 Ouve-me, Senhor, porque é benigna a tua graça; segundo a multidão das tuas comiserações olha para mim,	17 With mighty chariotry, twice ten thousand, thousands upon thousands, the Lord came from Sinai into the holy place.
18 não escondas o teu rosto do teu servo; ouve-me prontamente, porque estou angustiado.	18 Thou didst ascend the high mount, leading captives in thy train, and receiving gifts among men, even among the rebellious, that the LORD God may dwell there.
19 Aproxima-te da minha alma, resgata-a; por causa dos meus inimigos, livra-me.	19 Blessed be the Lord, who daily bears us up; God is our salvation. [Selah]
20 Tu conheces o meu opróbrio, a minha confusão e a minha vergonha; à tua vista estão todos os que me afligem.	20 Our God is a God of salvation; and to GOD, the Lord, belongs escape from death.
21 O opróbrio despedaçou o meu coração e desfaleci; esperei que alguém se condoesse de mim, e não houve ninguém; esperei que alguém me consolasse, e não achei.	21 But God will shatter the heads of his enemies, the hairy crown of him who walks in his guilty ways.
22 Misturaram fel na minha comida, e na minha sede apresentaram-me vinagre.	22 The Lord said, "I will bring them back from Bashan, I will bring them back from the depths of the sea,
23 (Em castigo) torne-se a sua mesa um laço para eles, e uma rede para os seus amigos.	23 that you may bathe your feet in blood, that the tongues of your dogs may have their portion from the foe."
24 Obscureçam-se os seus olhos para que não vejam; e faz que os seus flancos vacilem sempre.	24 Thy solemn processions are seen, O God, the processions of my God, my King, into the sanctuary--
25 Derrama sobre eles a tua indignação e o furor da tua cólera os alcance.	25 the singers in front, the minstrels last, between them maidens playing timbrels:
26 Devastada seja a sua morada; e não haja quem habite nas suas tendas.	26 "Bless God in the great congregation, the LORD, O you who are of Israel's fountain!"
27 Porquanto perseguiram aquele que tu feriste, e agravaram a dor daquele que vulneraste.	27 There is Benjamin, the least of them, in the lead, the princes of Judah in their throng, the princes of Zebulun, the princes of Naphtali.
28 Acrescenta culpas às suas culpas, e não sejam proclamados justos diante de ti.	28 Summon thy might, O God; show thy strength, O God, thou who hast wrought for us.
29 Sejam riscados do livro dos viventes, e não sejam inscritos com os justos.	29 Because of thy temple at Jerusalem kings bear gifts to thee.
30 Quanto a mim, sou mísero e cheio de dores; protege-me, ó Deus, com teu auxílio.	30 Rebuke the beasts that dwell among the reeds, the herd of bulls with the calves of the peoples. Trample under foot those who lust after tribute; scatter the peoples who delight in war.
31 Glorificarei o nome de Deus com cânticos, e proclamá-lo-ei com uma acção de graças.	31 Let bronze be brought from Egypt; let Ethiopia hasten to stretch out her hands to God.
32 E isto agradará a Deus mais do que um touro, mais do um novilho (já crescido) com chifres e unhas.	32 Sing to God, O kingdoms of the earth; sing praises to the Lord, [Selah]
33 Vede, ó humildes, e alegrai-vos, e reanimai o vosso coração, vós que buscais a Deus.	33 to him who rides in the heavens, the ancient heavens; lo, he sends forth his voice, his mighty voice.
34 Porque o Senhor ouve os pobres e não despreza os que por amor dele estão em cadeias.	34 Ascribe power to God, whose majesty is over Israel, and his power is in the skies.
35 Louvem-no os céus e a terra, os mares e tudo o que neles se move.	35 Terrible is God in his sanctuary, the God of Israel, he gives power and strength to his people. Blessed be God!
36 Com efeito, Deus salvará Sião e edificará as cidades de Judá: morarão ali e possuirão.
37 A descendência de seus (fiéis) servos a receberá em herança; os que amam o seu nome habitarão nela.
