SMITH VAN DYKE	NEW JERUSALEM
1 لامام المغنين على يدوثون. لآساف مزمور‎. ‎صوتي الى الله فاصرخ. صوتي الى الله فاصغى اليّ‎.	1 [For the choirmaster . . . Jeduthun Of Asaph Psalm] I cry to God in distress, I cry to God and he hearsme.
2 ‎في يوم ضيقي التمست الرب. يدي في الليل انبسطت ولم تخدر. ابت نفسي التعزية‎.	2 In the day of my distress I sought the Lord; al night I tirelessly stretched out my hands, my heartrefused to be consoled.
3 ‎اذكر الله فأئنّ. اناجي نفسي فيغشى على روحي. سلاه	3 I sigh as I think of God, my spirit faints away as I ponder on him. Pause
4 امسكت اجفان عيني. انزعجت فلم اتكلم‎.	4 You kept me from closing my eyes, I was too distraught to speak;
5 ‎تفكرت في ايام القدم السنين الدهرية‎.	5 I thought of former times, years long past
6 ‎اذكر ترنمي في الليل. مع قلبي اناجي وروحي تبحث‎.	6 I recalled; through the night I ponder in my heart, as I reflect, my spirit asks this question:
7 ‎هل الى الدهور يرفض الرب ولا يعود للرضا بعد‎.	7 Is the Lord's rejection final? Will he never show favour again?
8 ‎هل انتهت الى الابد رحمته انقطعت كلمته الى دور فدور‎.	8 Is his faithful love gone for ever? Has his Word come to an end for al time?
9 ‎هل نسي الله رأفة او قفص برجزه مراحمه. سلاه	9 Does God forget to show mercy? In anger does he shut off his tenderness?Pause
10 فقلت هذا ما يعلّني تغيّر يمين العلي‎.	10 And I said, 'This is what wounds me, the right hand of the Most High has lost its strength.'
11 ‎اذكر اعمال الرب اذ اتذكر عجائبك منذ القدم	11 Remembering Yahweh's great deeds, remembering your wonders in the past,
12 والهج بجميع افعالك وبصنائعك اناجي	12 I reflect on al that you did, I ponder all your great deeds.
13 اللهم في القدس طريقك. اي اله عظيم مثل الله‎.	13 God, your ways are holy! What god is as great as our God?
14 ‎انت الاله الصانع العجائب. عرفت بين الشعوب قوتك‎.	14 You are the God who does marvel ous deeds, brought nations to acknowledge your power,
15 ‎فككت بذراعك شعبك بني يعقوب ويوسف. سلاه‎.	15 with your own arm redeeming your people, the children of Jacob and Joseph.Pause
16 ‎ابصرتك المياه يا الله ابصرتك المياه ففزعت ارتعدت ايضا اللجج	16 When the waters saw you, God, when the waters saw you they writhed in anguish, the very depthsshook with fear.
17 سكبت الغيوم مياها اعطت السحب صوتا. ايضا سهامك طارت‎.	17 The clouds pelted down water, the sky thundered, your arrows shot back and forth.
18 ‎صوت رعدك في الزوبعة البروق اضاءت المسكونة. ارتعدت ورجفت الارض‎.	18 The rol ing of your thunder was heard, your lightning-flashes lit up the world, the earth shuddered andshook.
19 ‎في البحر طريقك وسبلك في المياه الكثيرة وآثارك لم تعرف‎.	19 Your way led over the sea, your path over the countless waters, and none could trace your footsteps.
20 ‎هديت شعبك كالغنم بيد موسى وهرون	20 You guided your people like a flock by the hand of Moses and Aaron.
