Ezechiele 32

LA SACRA BIBBIA	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Nel dodicesimo anno, il primo del dodicesimo mese, mi giunse la seguente parola del Signore:	1 In the twelfth year, on the first day of the twelfth month, the word of Yahweh was addressed to me asfol ows,
2 "Figlio dell'uomo, intona una lamentazione sul faraone, re d'Egitto; digli: Leoncello delle genti, sei finito! Somigli al coccodrillo dell'acqua; irrompevi nei tuoi canali, hai calpestato l'acqua con le zampe, hai intorbidato i canali.	2 'Son of man, raise a lament for Pharaoh king of Egypt. Say to him: "Young lion of nations, you aredestroyed! Once you were like a crocodile in the lagoons; emerging from your rivers, you churned up the waterwith your trampling and fouled their streams.
3 Così dice il Signore Dio: Stenderò contro di te la mia rete con un'accolta di molti popoli che ti trarranno nelle mie maglie.	3 "The Lord Yahweh says this: I shal throw my net over you in a great concourse of nations; and theywil trawl you up in my net. Then I shal leave you high and dry,
4 Ti getterò per terra, scagliandoti in aperta campagna; farò posare su di te gli uccelli del cielo e sazierò di te tutte le bestie della terra.	4 I shal throw you out into the wilds and make al the birds of heaven settle on you, and glut all thebeasts of the earth with you.
5 Getterò la tua carogna sui monti, della tua carcassa si riempiranno le gole.	5 I shal strew your flesh on your mountains and fil the val eys with your corruption;
6 Bagnerò col tuo sangue la terra, col tuo flusso i monti; le gole si riempiranno di te.	6 I shal water the country with what flows from you, with your blood, on the mountainsides, and you wilfill the ravines.
7 Quando ti spegnerai coprirò i cieli, farò intristire le stelle; il sole lo coprirò con le nubi e la luna non darà più la sua luce.	7 When I extinguish you I shal cover the skies and darken the stars. I shall cover the sun with cloudsand the moon wil not give its light.
8 Tutto ciò che fa luce nel cielo lo farò oscurare su di te, diffonderò le tenebre sulla terra. Oracolo del Signore Dio.	8 I shal dim every luminary in heaven because of you and cover your country in darkness -declares theLord Yahweh.
9 Causerò il voltastomaco a molti popoli quando farò arrivare i tuoi brandelli tra le genti, in paesi che non conoscevi.	9 "I shall grieve the heart of many peoples when I bring about your destruction among the nations, incountries unknown to you.
10 Farò stupire su di te molti popoli e ai loro re si drizzeranno i capelli, quando farò roteare davanti a loro la mia spada; tremeranno ad ogni istante per la loro vita, nel giorno della tua caduta.	10 I shal stun many peoples with shock at your fate; their kings wil tremble with horror at your fate,when I brandish my sword before their eyes. The day you fal , each wil tremble in terror for his life.
11 Poiché così dice il Signore: La spada del re di Babilonia viene verso di te.	11 For the Lord Yahweh says this: The sword of the king of Babylon wil overtake you.
12 Con le spade degli eroi farò cadere la tua moltitudine. Essi sono le peggiori di tutte le genti. Distruggeranno l'arroganza dell'Egitto e annienteranno tutta la sua grandezza.	12 I shal make your throngs of subjects fall at the swords of my warriors. They are the most barbarousof nations. They wil annihilate the pride of Egypt, and al its throngs will be destroyed.
13 Farò perire tutto il suo bestiame con le grandi acque; non lo calpesterà mai più piede d'uomo, unghia d'animale non lo calpesterà più.	13 I shal also destroy al its cattle beside the plentiful waters. No human foot wil churn them, no animalfoot wil churn them up again;
14 Allora ridurrò le tue acque e i tuoi fiumi scoleranno appena, come olio. Oracolo del Signore Dio.	14 then I shal let their waters settle and make their rivers glide like oil -- declares the Lord Yahweh.
15 Quando renderò l'Egitto una desolazione e rimarrà desolato il paese con tutto ciò che vi è, quando colpirò tutti i suoi abitanti, allora riconosceranno che io sono il Signore".	15 "When I reduce Egypt to a ruin and the country is stripped of its contents, when I strike all those wholive there, they wil know that I am Yahweh.
16 Questa è una lamentazione: la ripeteranno lamentose le figlie delle genti; la reciteranno sull'Egitto e su tutta la sua moltitudine. Oracolo del Signore Dio.	16 "Such is the lament which the daughters of the nations wil raise. They wil raise it over Egypt and allits throng. This is the lament they will raise -- declares the Lord Yahweh." '
17 Nel dodicesimo anno, il dieci del quinto mese, mi giunse la parola del Signore:	17 In the twelfth year, on the fifteenth day of the first month, the word of Yahweh was addressed to meas fol ows,
18 "Figlio dell'uomo, fa' lamenti sulla moltitudine degli abitanti d'Egitto: accompagnane la discesa, sua e delle altre nazioni nobili, sotto terra, tra quelli che scendono nella fossa!	18 'Son of man, lament over the throng of Egypt, for down she must go with the daughters of majesticnations to the depths of the underworld with those who sink into oblivion.
19 Sei forse più bello degli altri? Discendi e giaci con gl'incirconcisi!	19 'Whom do you surpass in beauty? Down with you, make your bed with the uncircumcised,
20 Egli cade in mezzo ai trafitti di spada e tutta la sua potenza si estingue.	20 with those who have been slaughtered by the sword. (The sword has been given, it has been drawn.)She and al her throngs have fallen.
21 Gli eroi più gagliardi gli parleranno di mezzo agl'inferi, dicendo a lui e ai suoi ausiliari: "Vieni, scendi tra gl'incirconcisi, con i trafitti da spada!".	21 From the depths of Sheol, the mightiest heroes, her al ies, wil say to her, "They have come down,they have lain down, uncircumcised, slaughtered by the sword."
22 Là c'è Assur e tutta la sua schiera attorno al suo sepolcro: tutti uccisi, trafitti da spada:	22 'Assyria is there and al her hordes, with their graves al round her; all of them slaughtered, fal en bythe sword;
23 ne misero i sepolcri nel fondo della fossa e la sua schiera è attorno alla sua tomba; tutti uccisi, traffitti da spada. Eppure incuterono spavento nella terra dei vivi!	23 their graves have been made in the deepest part of the abyss, and her hordes, with their graves alround her; all of them slaughtered, kil ed by the sword, who once spread terror through the world of the living.
24 Là c'è Elam e tutte le sue truppe attorno alla sua tomba, sono tutti uccisi, trafitti da spada, scesi incirconcisi sotto terra, essi che incuterono spavento nella terra dei vivi! Portano la loro vergogna come gli altri che scendono nella fossa!	24 'Elam is there and al her throng round her grave, al of them slaughtered, fallen by the sword; theyhave gone down uncircumcised to the depths of the underworld, who once spread terror throughout the world ofthe living. They have borne their shame with those who sink into oblivion.
25 In mezzo agli uccisi gli diedero un giaciglio, con tutta la sua gente attorno al suo sepolcro, tutti incirconcisi, trafitti da spada, essi che avevano sparso lo spavento nella terra dei vivi! Portarono la loro vergogna con i discesi nella fossa; in mezzo agli uccisi è il loro posto.	25 Among the slaughtered, they have put a bed for her, among her throng with their tombs round her, alof them uncircumcised, slaughtered by the sword for having spread terror throughout the world of the living.They have borne their shame with those who sink into oblivion. They have been put among the slaughtered.
26 Là c'è Mesech, Tubal e tutta la sua truppa attorno al suo sepolcro: tutti incirconcisi, trafitti dalla spada; eppure incuterono lo spavento nella terra dei vivi!	26 'Meshech, Tubal are there and al her throng, with their graves round her, al of them uncircumcised,slaughtered by the sword for having spread terror through the world of the living.
27 Essi però non dormono con gli eroi caduti da tempo, che scesero negli inferi con le loro armi da guerra, ai quali posero le spade sotto la testa e lo scudo sopra le loro ossa, poiché lo spavento di tali eroi pesava sulla terra dei vivi.	27 They do not lie with the heroes who fell long ago, those who went down to Sheol ful y armed, whohad their swords laid under their heads and their shields put under their bones, since the heroes inspired theworld of the living with terror.
28 Tu dunque giacerai tra gl'incirconcisi, assieme ai trafitti da spada.	28 But you wil be broken with the uncircumcised and lie with those slaughtered by the sword.
29 Là c'è Edom, i suoi re e tutti i suoi prìncipi, che sono posti con i trafitti da spada, nonostante il loro valore. Essi pure giacciono con gl'incirconcisi, con quelli che scendono nella fossa.	29 'Edom is there, her kings and al her princes who, despite their valour, have been laid with thoseslaughtered by the sword. They lie with the uncircumcised, with those who sink into oblivion.
30 Là ci sono tutti i prìncipi del settentrione, tutti i Sidoni, che scesero con i trafitti, nonostante il terrore sparso dalla loro potenza: giacciono incirconcisi insieme ai trafitti da spada e porteranno la loro vergogna con quelli che scendono nella fossa.	30 'Al the princes of the north and al the Sidonians are there, who have gone down with theslaughtered, because of the terror which their power inspired. Ashamed, uncircumcised, they lie among thoseslaughtered by the sword and bear their shame with those who sink into oblivion.
31 Il faraone li vedrà, e si consolerà alla vista di quella moltitudine di uccisi con la spada. Il faraone e tutto il suo esercito sono tra i trafitti da spada, oracolo del Signore Dio.	31 'Pharaoh wil see them and take comfort at the sight of al this throng slaughtered by the sword --Pharaoh and al his throng -- declares the Lord Yahweh.
32 Egli aveva sparso il suo terrore sulla terra dei vivi: ecco, giace tra gl'incirconcisi, assieme ai colpiti da spada, il faraone e tutta la sua moltitudine! Oracolo del Signore Dio".	32 For having spread terror through the world of the living, he wil be laid with the uncircumcised, withthose slaughtered by the sword, Pharaoh and al his throng -- declares the Lord Yahweh.'
