LA SACRA BIBBIA	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Alleluia. Beato l'uomo che teme il Signore, nei suoi precetti trova grande gioia.	1 Al eluia! How blessed is anyone who fears Yahweh, who delights in his commandments!
2 Potente sulla terra sarà la sua prole, la generazione dei retti sarà benedetta.	2 His descendants shal be powerful on earth, the race of the honest shal receive blessings:
3 Onore e ricchezza si trovano nella sua casa, per sempre rimane la sua giustizia.	3 Riches and wealth for his family; his uprightness stands firm for ever.
4 Spunta nelle tenebre come una luce per gli uomini retti: pietosa, compassionevole e giusta.	4 For the honest he shines as a lamp in the dark, generous, tender-hearted, and upright.
5 Felice l'uomo che si mostra pietoso e dà in prestito; conduce con equità i suoi negozi.	5 Al goes wel for one who lends generously, who is honest in al his dealing;
6 Sì, mai vacillerà, in memoria eterna sarà il giusto.	6 for al time to come he wil not stumble, for al time to come the upright wil be remembered.
7 Di annuncio funesto non avrà paura, saldo è il suo cuore: confida nel Signore.	7 Bad news holds no fears for him, firm is his heart, trusting in Yahweh.
8 Sicuro sta il suo cuore: non avrà timore, finché non trionferà sui suoi avversari.	8 His heart held steady, he has no fears, til he can gloat over his enemies.
9 Ha dato ai poveri con generosità: per sempre rimarrà la sua giustizia; s'eleverà in gloria la sua potenza.	9 To the needy he gives without stint, his uprightness stands firm for ever; his reputation is founded onstrength.
10 L'empio vede ed è preso dall'ira; digrigna i denti e si consuma; la brama degli empi cadrà nel nulla.	10 The wicked are vexed at the sight, they grind their teeth and waste away. The desires of the wickedwil be frustrated.
