CATHOLIC PUBLIC DOMAINGREEK BIBLE
And again, he entered into the synagogue. And there was a man there who had a withered hand.1 Και εισηλθε παλιν εις την συναγωγην?
And they observed him, to see if he would cure on the Sabbaths, so that they might accuse him.2 Και παρετηρουν αυτον αν εν τω σαββατω θελη θεραπευσει αυτον, δια να κατηγορησωσιν αυτον.
And he said to the man who had the withered hand, “Stand up in the middle.”3 Και λεγει προς τον ανθρωπον τον εχοντα εξηραμμενην την χειρα?
And he said to them: “Is it lawful to do good on the Sabbaths, or to do evil, to give health to a life, or to destroy?” But they remained silent.4 Και λεγει προς αυτους?
And looking around at them with anger, being very saddened over the blindness of their hearts, he said to the man, “Extend your hand.” And he extended it, and his hand was restored to him.5 Και περιβλεψας αυτους μετ' οργης, λυπουμενος δια την πωρωσιν της καρδιας αυτων, λεγει προς τον ανθρωπον?
Then the Pharisees, going out, immediately took counsel with the Herodians against him, as to how they might destroy him.6 Και εξελθοντες οι Φαρισαιοι συνεβουλευθησαν ευθυς μετα των Ηρωδιανων κατ' αυτου, δια να απολεσωσιν αυτον.
But Jesus withdrew with his disciples to the sea. And a great crowd followed him from Galilee and Judea,7 Και ο Ιησους ανεχωρησε μετα των μαθητων αυτου προς την θαλασσαν?
and from Jerusalem, and from Idumea and across the Jordan. And those around Tyre and Sidon, upon hearing what he was doing, came to him in a great multitude.8 και απο Ιεροσολυμων και απο της Ιδουμαιας και απο περαν του Ιορδανου και οι περι Τυρον και Σιδωνα, πληθος πολυ, ακουσαντες οσα επραττεν, ηλθον προς αυτον.
And he told his disciples that a small boat would be useful to him, because of the crowd, lest they press upon him.9 Και ειπε προς τους μαθητας αυτου να μενη πλησιον αυτου εν πλοιαριον εξ αιτιας του οχλου, δια να μη συνθλιβωσιν αυτον?
For he healed so many, that as many of them as had wounds would rush toward him in order to touch him.10 διοτι εθεραπευσε πολλους, ωστε επιπτον επ' αυτον δια να εγγισωσιν αυτον οσοι ειχον αρρωστιας?
And the unclean spirits, when they saw him, fell prostrate before him. And they cried out, saying,11 και τα πνευματα τα ακαθαρτα, οτε εθεωρουν αυτον, προσεπιπτον εις αυτον και εκραζον, λεγοντα οτι συ εισαι ο Υιος του Θεου.
“You are the Son of God.” And he strongly admonished them, lest they make him known.12 Και πολλα επετιμα αυτα δια να μη φανερωσωσιν αυτον.
And ascending onto a mountain, he called to himself those whom he willed, and they came to him.13 Και αναβαινει εις το ορος και προσκαλει οσους αυτος ηθελε, και υπηγον προς αυτον.
And he acted so that the twelve would be with him, and so that he might send them out to preach.14 Και εξελεξε δωδεκα, δια να ηναι μετ' αυτου και δια να αποστελλη αυτους να κηρυττωσι
And he gave them authority to cure infirmities, and to cast out demons:15 και να εχωσιν εξουσιαν να θεραπευωσι τας νοσους και να εκβαλλωσι τα δαιμονια?
and he imposed on Simon the name Peter;16 Σιμωνα, τον οποιον επωνομασε Πετρον,
and also he imposed on James of Zebedee, and John the brother of James, the name ‘Boanerges,’ that is, ‘Sons of Thunder;’17 και Ιακωβον τον του Ζεβεδαιου και Ιωαννην τον αδελφον του Ιακωβου?
and Andrew, and Philip, and Bartholomew, and Matthew, and Thomas, and James of Alphaeus, and Thaddeus, and Simon the Canaanite,18 και Ανδρεαν και Φιλιππον και Βαρθολομαιον και Ματθαιον και Θωμαν και Ιακωβον τον του Αλφαιου και Θαδδαιον και Σιμωνα τον Κανανιτην
and Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed him.19 και Ιουδαν τον Ισκαριωτην, οστις και παρεδωκεν αυτον.
And they went to a house, and the crowd gathered together again, so much so that they were not even able to eat bread.20 Και ερχονται εις οικον τινα?
And when his own had heard of it, they went out to take hold of him. For they said: “Because he has gone mad.”21 Και οτε ηκουσαν οι συγγενεις αυτου, εξηλθον δια να πιασωσιν αυτον?
And the scribes who had descended from Jerusalem said, “Because he has Beelzebub, and because by the prince of demons does he cast out demons.”22 Και οι γραμματεις, οιτινες κατεβησαν απο Ιεροσολυμων, ελεγον οτι εχει Βεελζεβουλ, και οτι δια του αρχοντος των δαιμονιων εκβαλλει τα δαιμονια.
And having called them together, he spoke to them in parables: “How can Satan cast out Satan?23 Και προσκαλεσας αυτους, ελεγε προς αυτους δια παραβολων? Πως δυναται Σατανας να εκβαλλη Σαταναν;
For if a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom is not able to stand.24 και εαν βασιλεια διαιρεθη καθ' εαυτης, η βασιλεια εκεινη δεν δυναται να σταθη?
And if a house is divided against itself, that house is not able to stand.25 και εαν οικια διαιρεθη καθ' εαυτης, η οικια εκεινη δεν δυναται να σταθη.
And if Satan has risen up against himself, he would be divided, and he would not be able to stand; instead he reaches the end.26 Και αν ο Σατανας εσηκωθη καθ' εαυτου και διηρεθη, δεν δυναται να σταθη, αλλ' εχει τελος.
No one is able to plunder the goods of a strong man, having entered into the house, unless he first binds the strong man, and then he shall plunder his house.27 Ουδεις δυναται να αρπαση τα σκευη του δυνατου, εισελθων εις την οικιαν αυτου, εαν πρωτον δεν δεση τον δυνατον, και τοτε θελει διαρπασει την οικιαν αυτου.
Amen I say to you, that all sins will be forgiven the sons of men, and the blasphemies by which they will have blasphemed.28 Αληθως σας λεγω οτι παντα τα αμαρτηματα θελουσι συγχωρηθη εις τους υιους των ανθρωπων και αι βλασφημιαι, οσας βλασφημησωσιν?
But he who will have blasphemed against the Holy Spirit shall not have forgiveness in eternity; instead he shall be guilty of an eternal offense.”29 οστις ομως βλασφημηση εις το Πνευμα το Αγιον, δεν εχει συγχωρησιν εις τον αιωνα, αλλ' ειναι ενοχος αιωνιου καταδικης?
For they said: “He has an unclean spirit.”30 διοτι ελεγον, Πνευμα ακαθαρτον εχει.
And his mother and brothers arrived. And standing outside, they sent to him, calling him.31 Ερχονται λοιπον οι αδελφοι και η μητηρ αυτου, και σταθεντες εξω απεστειλαν προς αυτον και εκραζον αυτον.
And the crowd was sitting around him. And they said to him, “Behold, your mother and your brothers are outside, seeking you.”32 Και εκαθητο οχλος περι αυτον?
And responding to them, he said, “Who is my mother and my brothers?”33 Και απεκριθη προς αυτους, λεγων? Τις ειναι η μητηρ μου η οι αδελφοι μου;
And looking around at those who were sitting all around him, he said: “Behold, my mother and my brothers.34 Και περιβλεψας κυκλω προς τους καθημενους περι αυτον, λεγει? Ιδου η μητηρ μου και οι αδελφοι μου?
For whoever has done the will of God, the same is my brother, and my sister and mother.”35 διοτι οστις καμη το θελημα του Θεου, ουτος ειναι αδελφος μου και αδελφη μου και μητηρ.
