Psalms 113

CATHOLIC PUBLIC DOMAIN	LXX
1 Alleluia. At the departure of Israel from Egypt, the house of Jacob from a barbarous people:	1 αλληλουια εν εξοδω ισραηλ εξ αιγυπτου οικου ιακωβ εκ λαου βαρβαρου
2 Judea was made his sanctuary; Israel was made his power.	2 εγενηθη ιουδαια αγιασμα αυτου ισραηλ εξουσια αυτου
3 The sea looked, and it fled. The Jordan was turned back again.	3 η θαλασσα ειδεν και εφυγεν ο ιορδανης εστραφη εις τα οπισω
4 The mountains exulted like rams, and the hills like lambs among the sheep.	4 τα ορη εσκιρτησαν ωσει κριοι και οι βουνοι ως αρνια προβατων
5 What happened to you, O sea, so that you fled, and to you, O Jordan, so that you were turned back again?	5 τι σοι εστιν θαλασσα οτι εφυγες και σοι ιορδανη οτι ανεχωρησας εις τα οπισω
6 What happened to you, O mountains, so that you exulted like rams, and to you, O hills, so that you exulted like lambs among the sheep?	6 τα ορη οτι εσκιρτησατε ωσει κριοι και οι βουνοι ως αρνια προβατων
7 Before the face of the Lord, the earth was moved, before the face of the God of Jacob.	7 απο προσωπου κυριου εσαλευθη η γη απο προσωπου του θεου ιακωβ
8 He converted the rock into pools of water, and the cliff into fountains of waters.	8 του στρεψαντος την πετραν εις λιμνας υδατων και την ακροτομον εις πηγας υδατων
9 Not to us, O Lord, not to us, but to your name give glory.	9 μη ημιν κυριε μη ημιν αλλ' η τω ονοματι σου δος δοξαν επι τω ελεει σου και τη αληθεια σου
10 Give glory to your mercy and your truth, lest the Gentiles should say, “Where is their God?”	10 μηποτε ειπωσιν τα εθνη που εστιν ο θεος αυτων
11 But our God is in heaven. All things whatsoever that he has willed, he has done.	11 ο δε θεος ημων εν τω ουρανω ανω εν τοις ουρανοις και εν τη γη παντα οσα ηθελησεν εποιησεν
12 The idols of the nations are silver and gold, the works of the hands of men.	12 τα ειδωλα των εθνων αργυριον και χρυσιον εργα χειρων ανθρωπων
13 They have mouths, and do not speak; they have eyes, and do not see.	13 στομα εχουσιν και ου λαλησουσιν οφθαλμους εχουσιν και ουκ οψονται
14 They have ears, and do not hear; they have noses, and do not smell.	14 ωτα εχουσιν και ουκ ακουσονται ρινας εχουσιν και ουκ οσφρανθησονται
15 They have hands, and do not feel; they have feet, and do not walk. Neither will they cry out with their throat.	15 χειρας εχουσιν και ου ψηλαφησουσιν ποδας εχουσιν και ου περιπατησουσιν ου φωνησουσιν εν τω λαρυγγι αυτων
16 Let those who make them become like them, along with all who trust in them.	16 ομοιοι αυτοις γενοιντο οι ποιουντες αυτα και παντες οι πεποιθοτες επ' αυτοις
17 The house of Israel has hoped in the Lord. He is their helper and their protector.	17 οικος ισραηλ ηλπισεν επι κυριον βοηθος αυτων και υπερασπιστης αυτων εστιν
18 The house of Aaron has hoped in the Lord. He is their helper and their protector.	18 οικος ααρων ηλπισεν επι κυριον βοηθος αυτων και υπερασπιστης αυτων εστιν
19 Those who fear the Lord have hoped in the Lord. He is their helper and their protector.	19 οι φοβουμενοι τον κυριον ηλπισαν επι κυριον βοηθος αυτων και υπερασπιστης αυτων εστιν
20 The Lord has been mindful of us, and he has blessed us. He has blessed the house of Israel. He has blessed the house of Aaron.	20 κυριος εμνησθη ημων και ευλογησεν ημας ευλογησεν τον οικον ισραηλ ευλογησεν τον οικον ααρων
21 He has blessed all who fear the Lord, the small with the great.	21 ευλογησεν τους φοβουμενους τον κυριον τους μικρους μετα των μεγαλων
22 May the Lord add blessings upon you: upon you, and upon your sons.	22 προσθειη κυριος εφ' υμας εφ' υμας και επι τους υιους υμων
23 Blessed are you by the Lord, who made heaven and earth.	23 ευλογημενοι υμεις τω κυριω τω ποιησαντι τον ουρανον και την γην
24 The heaven of heaven is for the Lord, but the earth he has given to the sons of men.	24 ο ουρανος του ουρανου τω κυριω την δε γην εδωκεν τοις υιοις των ανθρωπων
25 The dead will not praise you, Lord, and neither will all those who descend into Hell.	25 ουχ οι νεκροι αινεσουσιν σε κυριε ουδε παντες οι καταβαινοντες εις αδου
26 But we who live will bless the Lord, from this time forward, and even forever.	26 αλλ' ημεις οι ζωντες ευλογησομεν τον κυριον απο του νυν και εως του αιωνος
