1 Now, when Moses had completed the erection of the Dwelling and had anointed and consecrated it with all its equipment (as well as the altar with all its equipment),	1 On the day Moses finished erecting the Dwel ing, he anointed and consecrated it and all its furniture,as well as the altar and al its equipment. When he had anointed and consecrated it al ,
2 an offering was made by the princes of Israel, who were heads of ancestral houses; the same princes of the tribes who supervised the census.	2 the leaders of Israel made an offering; they were the heads of their families, the tribal leaders who hadpresided over the census.
3 The offering they brought before the LORD consisted of six baggage wagons and twelve oxen, that is, a wagon for every two princes, and an ox for every prince. These they presented as their offering before the Dwelling.	3 They brought their offering before Yahweh: six covered wagons and twelve oxen, one wagon for everytwo leaders and one ox each. They brought them in front of the Dwel ing.
4 The LORD then said to Moses,	4 Yahweh spoke to Moses and said,
5 "Accept their offering, that these things may be put to use in the service of the meeting tent. Assign them to the Levites, to each group in proportion to its duties."	5 'Accept these from them, and let them be set apart for the service of the Tent of Meeting. You wil givethem to the Levites, to each as his duties require.'
6 So Moses accepted the wagons and oxen, and assigned them to the Levites.	6 Moses took the wagons and oxen, and gave them to the Levites.
7 He gave two wagons and four oxen to the Gershonites in proportion to their duties,	7 To the Gershonites he gave two wagons and four oxen for the duties they had to perform.
8 and four wagons and eight oxen to the Merarites in proportion to their duties, under the supervision of Ithamar, son of Aaron the priest.	8 To the Merarites he gave four wagons and eight oxen for the duties they had to perform under thedirection of Ithamar, son of Aaron the priest.
9 He gave none to the Kohathites, because they had to carry on their shoulders the sacred objects which were their charge.	9 But to the Kohathites he gave none at all, because the sacred charge entrusted to them had to becarried on their shoulders.
10 For the dedication of the altar also, the princes brought offerings before the altar on the day it was anointed.	10 The leaders then made an offering for the dedication of the altar, on the day it was anointed. Theybrought their offering before the altar,
11 But the LORD said to Moses, "Let one prince a day present his offering for the dedication of the altar."	11 and Yahweh said to Moses, 'Each day one of the leaders must bring his offering for the dedication ofthe altar.'
12 The one who presented his offering on the first day was Nahshon, son of Amminadab, prince of the tribe of Judah.	12 On the first day an offering was brought by Nahshon son of Amminadab, of the tribe of Judah.
13 His offering consisted of one silver plate weighing a hundred and thirty shekels according to the sanctuary standard and one silver basin weighing seventy shekels, both filled with fine flour mixed with oil for a cereal offering;	13 His offering consisted of: one silver bowl weighing a hundred and thirty shekels, one silver sprinklingbowl weighing seventy shekels (sanctuary shekels), both of them ful of fine flour mixed with oil as a cerealoffering,
14 one gold cup of ten shekels' weight filled with incense;	14 one golden bowl weighing ten shekels, ful of incense,
15 one young bull, one ram, and one yearling lamb for a holocaust;	15 one young bul , one ram and one male yearling lamb as a burnt offering,
16 one goat for a sin offering;	16 one he-goat as a sacrifice for sin,
17 and two oxen, five rams, five goats, and five yearling lambs for a peace offering. This was the offering of Nahshon, son of Amminadab.	17 and two bul s, five rams, five he-goats and five male yearling lambs as a communion sacrifice. Suchwas the offering of Nahshon son of Amminadab.
18 On the second day Nethanel, son of Zuar, prince of Issachar, made his offering.	18 On the second day an offering was brought by Nethanel son of Zuar, leader of Issachar.
19 He presented as his offering one silver plate weighing a hundred and thirty shekels according to the sanctuary standard and one silver basin weighing seventy shekels, both filled with fine flour mixed with oil for a cereal offering;	19 His offering consisted of: one silver bowl weighing a hundred and thirty shekels, one silver sprinklingbowl weighing seventy shekels (sanctuary shekels), both of them ful of fine flour mixed with oil as a cerealoffering,
20 one gold cup of ten shekels' weight filled with incense;	20 one golden bowl weighing ten shekels, ful of incense,
21 one young bull, one ram, and one yearling lamb for a holocaust;	21 one young bul , one ram and one male yearling lamb as a burnt offering,
22 one goat for a sin offering;	22 one he-goat as a sacrifice for sin,

24 On the third day it was the turn of Eliab, son of Helon, prince of the Zebulunites.	24 On the third day an offering was brought by Eliab son of Helon, leader of the Zebulunites.
25 His offering consisted of one silver plate weighing a hundred and thirty shekels according to the sanctuary standard and one silver basin weighing seventy shekels, both filled with fine flour mixed with oil for a cereal offering;	25 His offering consisted of: one silver bowl weighing a hundred and thirty shekels, one silver sprinklingbowl weighing seventy shekels (sanctuary shekels), both of them ful of fine flour mixed with oil as a cerealoffering,

36 On the fifth day it was the turn of Shelumiel, son of Zurishaddai, prince of the Simeonites.	36 On the fifth day an offering was brought by Shelumiel son of Zurishaddai, leader of the Simeonites.
37 His offering consisted of one silver plate weighing a hundred and thirty shekels according to the sanctuary standard and one silver basin weighing seventy shekels, both filled with fine flour mixed with oil for a cereal offering;	37 His offering consisted of: one silver bowl weighing a hundred and thirty shekels, one silver sprinklingbowl weighing seventy shekels (sanctuary shekels), both of them ful of fine flour mixed with oil as a cereal offering,

42 On the sixth day it was the turn of Eliasaph, son of Reuel, prince of the Gadites.	42 On the sixth day an offering was brought by Eliasaph son of Reuel, leader of the Gadites.
43 His offering consisted of one silver plate weighing a hundred and thirty shekels according to the sanctuary standard and one silver basin weighing seventy shekels, both filled with fine flour mixed with oil for a cereal offering;	43 His offering consisted of: one silver bowl weighing a hundred and thirty shekels, one silver sprinklingbowl weighing seventy shekels (sanctuary shekels), both of them ful of fine flour mixed with oil as a cerealoffering,

48 On the seventh day it was the turn of Elishama, son of Ammihud, prince of the Ephraimites.	48 On the seventh day an offering was brought by Elishama son of Ammihud, leader of the Ephraimites.
49 His offering consisted of one silver plate weighing a hundred and thirty shekels according to the sanctuary standard and one silver basin weighing seventy shekels, both filled with fine flour mixed with oil for a cereal offering;	49 His offering consisted of: one silver bowl weighing a hundred and thirty shekels, one silver sprinklingbowl weighing seventy shekels (sanctuary shekels), both of them ful of fine flour mixed with oil as a cerealoffering,

54 On the eighth day it was the turn of Gamaliel, son of Pedahzur, prince of the Manassehites.	54 On the eighth day an offering was brought by Gamaliel son of Pedahzur, leader of the Manassehites.
55 His offering consisted of one silver plate weighing a hundred and thirty shekels according to the sanctuary standard and one silver basin weighing seventy shekels, both filled with fine flour mixed with oil for a cereal offering;	55 His offering consisted of: one silver bowl weighing a hundred and thirty shekels, one silver sprinklingbowl weighing seventy shekels (sanctuary shekels), both of them ful of fine flour mixed with oil as a cerealoffering,

60 On the ninth day it was the turn of Abidan, son of Gideoni, prince of the Benjaminites.	60 On the ninth day an offering was brought by Abidan son of Gideoni, leader of the Benjaminites.
61 His offering consisted of one silver plate weighing a hundred and thirty shekels according to the sanctuary standard and one silver basin weighing seventy shekels, both filled with fine flour mixed with oil for a cereal offering;	61 His offering consisted of: one silver bowl weighing a hundred and thirty shekels, one sprinkling bowlweighing seventy shekels (sanctuary shekels), both of them ful of fine flour mixed with oil as a cereal offering,

66 On the tenth day it was the turn of Ahiezer, son of Ammishaddai, prince of the Danites.	66 On the tenth day an offering was brought by Ahiezer son of Ammishaddai, leader of the Danites.

78 On the twelfth day it was the turn of Ahira, son of Enan, prince of the Naphtalites.	78 On the twelfth day an offering was brought by Ahira son of Enan, leader of the Naphtalites.

84 These were the offerings for the dedication of the altar, given by the princes of Israel on the occasion of its anointing: twelve silver plates, twelve silver basins, and twelve gold cups.	84 Such were the offerings made by the leaders of Israel for the dedication of the altar on the day it wasanointed: twelve silver bowls, twelve silver sprinkling bowls, and twelve golden bowls.
85 Each silver plate weighed a hundred and thirty shekels, and each silver basin seventy, so that all the silver of these vessels amounted to two thousand four hundred shekels, according to the sanctuary standard.	85 Each silver bowl weighed a hundred and thirty shekels, and each sprinkling bowl seventy, the silver ofthese objects weighing in al two thousand four hundred sanctuary shekels.
86 The twelve gold cups that were filled with incense weighed ten shekels apiece, according to the sanctuary standard, so that all the gold of the cups amounted to one hundred and twenty shekels.	86 The twelve golden bowls ful of incense each weighed ten shekels (sanctuary shekels), the gold ofthese bowls weighing in al a hundred and twenty shekels.
87 The animals for the holocausts were, in all, twelve young bulls, twelve rams, and twelve yearling lambs, with their cereal offerings; those for the sin offerings were twelve goats.	87 The sum total of animals for the burnt offering: twelve bul s, twelve rams, twelve male yearling lambs,with their cereal offerings. For the sacrifice for sin, twelve he-goats.
88 The animals for the peace offerings were, in all, twenty-four oxen, sixty rams, sixty goats, and sixty yearling lambs. These, then, were the offerings for the dedication of the altar after it was anointed.	88 The sum total of animals for the communion sacrifice: twenty-four bulls, sixty rams, sixty he-goats andsixty male yearling lambs. Such were the offerings for the dedication of the altar, after it had been anointed.
89 When Moses entered the meeting tent to speak with him, he heard the voice addressing him from above the propitiatory on the ark of the commandments, from between the two cherubim; and it spoke to him. . . .	89 When Moses went into the Tent of Meeting to speak with him, he heard the voice speaking to himfrom above the mercy-seat on the ark of the Testimony, from between the two great winged creatures. He thenspoke to him.
