1 Yahvé dit à Moïse:	1 And the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying:
2 “Les Israélites camperont chacun autour de sa bannière sous les enseignes de leur clan; ils camperont autour de la Tente du Rendez-Vous et tournés vers elle.	2 “Each one shall make camp, by their troops, as well as by their insignia and standards, and by the houses of their kinships, all around the tabernacle of the covenant.”
3 Juda campera avec ses troupes autour de sa bannière à l’orient, du côté du soleil levant, avec Nahasson, fils d’Aminadab, prince des fils de Juda.	3 To the east, Judah shall fix his tents, by the companies of his army. And the leader of his sons shall be Nahshon the son of Amminadab.
4 Sa troupe compte d’après le recensement: 74 600 hommes.	4 And the entire total of the fighting men from his stock was seventy-four thousand six hundred.
5 À côté de lui campera la tribu d’Issacar avec Nétanéel, fils de Suar, prince des fils d’Issacar.	5 Beside him, those of the tribe of Issachar were encamped, whose leader was Nathanael the son of Zuar.
6 Sa troupe compte d’après le recensement: 54 400 hommes.	6 And the entire number of his fighting men was fifty-four thousand four hundred.
7 Ensuite viendra la tribu de Zabulon avec Éliab, fils de Hélon, prince des fils de Zabulon.	7 In the tribe of Zebulon, the leader was Eliab the son of Helon.
8 Sa troupe compte d’après le recensement: 57 400 hommes.	8 All the army of fighting men from his stock were fifty-seven thousand four hundred.
9 Le total du camp de Juda d’après le recensement est donc de 186 400 hommes: ils se mettront en marche les premiers.	9 All who were numbered in the camp of Judah were one hundred eighty-six thousand four hundred. And these, by their companies, shall go forth first.
10 Au sud, Ruben campera avec ses troupes autour de sa bannière avec Élisour, fils de Chédéour, prince des fils de Ruben.	10 In the camp of the sons of Ruben, toward the south side, the leader shall be Elizur the son of Shedeur.
11 Sa troupe compte d’après le recensement: 46 500 hommes.	11 And the entire army of his fighting men, who were numbered, were forty-six thousand five hundred.
12 À côté de lui campera la tribu de Siméon avec Cheloumiel, fils de Surichaddaï, prince des fils de Siméon.	12 Beside him, those of the tribe of Simeon were encamped, whose leader was Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai.
13 Sa troupe compte d’après le recensement: 59 300 hommes.	13 And the entire army of his fighting men, who were numbered, were fifty-nine thousand three hundred.
14 Après lui viendra la tribu de Gad avec Éliasaf, fils de Réouel, prince des fils de Gad.	14 In the tribe of Gad, the leader was Eliasaph the son of Reuel.
15 Sa troupe compte d’après le recensement: 45 650 hommes.	15 And the entire army of his fighting men, who were numbered, were forty-five thousand six hundred fifty.
16 Le total du camp de Ruben d’après le recensement est donc de 151 450 hommes, ils se mettront en marche les deuxièmes.	16 All who were counted in the camp of Ruben were one hundred fifty thousand and one thousand four hundred fifty, by their companies. These shall advance in the second place.
17 La Tente du Rendez-Vous partira ensuite, le camp des Lévites se trouvant au milieu des autres camps. On partira dans l’ordre du campement, chacun à sa place autour de sa bannière.	17 But the tabernacle of the testimony shall be lifted up by the officers of the Levites and their companies. In the manner in which it is set up, so also shall it be taken down. Each one shall advance according to their places and ranks.
18 Éphraïm campera avec ses troupes autour de sa bannière à l’occident, avec Élichama, fils d’Ammihoud, prince des fils d’Éphraïm.	18 On the west side, there shall be the camp of the sons of Ephraim, whose leader was Elishama the son of Ammihud.
19 Sa troupe compte d’après le recensement: 40 500 hommes.	19 The entire army of his fighting men, who were numbered, were forty thousand five hundred.
20 À côté de lui campera la tribu de Manassé avec Gamliel, fils de Pedahsur, prince des fils de Manassé.	20 And with them was the tribe of the sons of Manasseh, whose leader was Gamaliel the son of Pedahzur.
21 Sa troupe compte d’après le recensement: 32 200 hommes.	21 And the entire army of his fighting men, who were numbered, were thirty-two thousand two hundred.
22 Ensuite viendra la tribu de Benjamin avec Abidan, fils de Gidéoni, prince des fils de Benjamin.	22 In the tribe of the sons of Benjamin, the leader was Abidan the son of Gideoni.
23 Sa troupe compte d’après le recensement: 35 400 hommes.	23 And the entire army of his fighting men, who were counted, were thirty-five thousand four hundred.
24 Le total du camp d’Éphraïm d’après le recensement est donc de 108 100 hommes; ils se mettront en marche les troisièmes.	24 All who were numbered in the camp of Ephraim were one hundred eight thousand one hundred, by their companies. These shall advance third.
25 Dan campera avec ses troupes autour de sa bannière au nord, avec Ahiézer, fils d’Amichaddaï, prince des fils de Dan.	25 Toward the north side, the sons of Dan were encamped, whose leader was Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai.
26 Sa troupe compte d’après le recensement: 62 700 hommes.	26 The entire army of his fighting men, who were numbered, were sixty-two thousand seven hundred.
27 À côté de lui campera la tribu d’Asher avec Pagiel, fils d’Okran, prince des fils d’Asher.	27 Beside him, those of the tribe of Asher fixed their tents, whose leader was Pagiel the son of Ochran.
28 Sa troupe compte d’après le recensement: 41 500 hommes.	28 The entire army of his fighting men, who were numbered, were forty thousand and one thousand five hundred.
29 Ensuite viendra la tribu de Nephtali avec Ahira, fils d’Énan, prince des fils de Nephtali.	29 From the tribe of the sons of Naphtali, the leader was Ahira the son of Enan.
30 Sa troupe compte d’après le recensement: 53 400 hommes.	30 The entire army of his fighting men were fifty-three thousand four hundred.
31 Le total du camp de Dan d’après le recensement est donc de 157 600 hommes; ils se mettront en marche les derniers autour de leur bannière.	31 All who were numbered in the camp of Dan were one hundred fifty-seven thousand six hundred; and these shall advance at the very end.
32 Voilà les Israélites qui furent recensés selon leurs tribus. Le total de tous ces hommes répartis dans leurs différents camps selon leurs formations, est donc de 603 550 hommes.	32 This is the number of the sons of Israel, of their army divided by the houses of their kinships and their companies: six hundred three thousand five hundred fifty.
33 Les Lévites ne furent pas recensés avec les autres Israélites, puisque Yahvé l’avait ordonné ainsi à Moïse.	33 But the Levites were not numbered among the sons of Israel. For so the Lord had instructed Moses.
34 Les Israélites firent tout comme Yahvé l’avait ordonné à Moïse. C’est donc ainsi qu’ils campaient autour de leur bannière et qu’ils se mettaient en marche, chacun selon sa famille, selon sa tribu.	34 And the sons of Israel acted according to all the things that the Lord had commanded. They were encamped by their companies, and they advanced by the families and houses of their fathers.
