2 Corinthians 4

1 Therefore, since we have this ministry, and in as much as we have obtained mercy for ourselves, we are not inadequate.	1 Adunque avendo noi questa amministrazione, secondo che noi avemo guadagnata misericordia, non veniamo meno.
2 For we renounce dishonorable and hidden acts, not walking by craftiness, nor by adulterating the Word of God. Instead, by the manifestation of truth, we commend ourselves to the conscience of each man before God.	2 Ma rimoviamo le cose della vergogna, e non andiamo con inganno adulterande la parola di Dio, ma andiamo con manifestamento di verità, commendando noi medesimi a ogni coscienza degli uomini inanzi da Dio.
3 But if our Gospel is in some way hidden, it is hidden to those who are perishing.	3 Ma (fratelli) il nostro evangelio sì è coperto e chiuso a coloro che periscono;
4 As for them, the god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that the light of the Gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, would not shine in them.	4 nelli quali Dio di questo secolo ha ciecato le menti delli infedeli, acciò che non risplenda in loro luminazione dello evangelio della gloria di Cristo, il quale è imagine di Dio.
5 For we are not preaching about ourselves, but about Jesus Christ our Lord. We are merely your servants through Jesus.	5 Chè noi non predichiamo noi medesimi, ma predichiamo Iesù Cristo nostro Signore; e noi siamo vostri servi per Iesù Cristo.
6 For God, who told the light to shine out of darkness, has shined a light into our hearts, to illuminate the knowledge of the splendor of God, in the person of Christ Jesus.	6 Imperò che Dio, il quale dice di fare risplendere la luce dalle tenebre, quegli risplendè nelli cuori nostri, a illuminazione di scienza della chiarità di Dio, nella faccia di Cristo salvatore.
7 But we hold this treasure in earthen vessels, so that what is sublime may be of the power of God, and not of us.	7 Ma avemo questo tesauro in vaselli di terra; chè la grandezza sia dalla virtù di Dio, e non da noi.
8 In all things, we endure tribulation, yet we are not in anguish. We are constrained, yet we are not destitute.	8 In tutte le cose sostenemo tribulazione, ma non augustiamo; poveri diventiamo, e non siamo derelitti
9 We suffer persecution, yet we have not been abandoned. We are thrown down, yet we do not perish.	9 La persecuzione sofferiamo, e non siamo abbandonati; siamo umiliati (e non siamo confusi; agitati), e non periamo.
10 We ever carry around the mortification of Jesus in our bodies, so that the life of Jesus may also be manifested in our bodies.	10 E sempre portiamo la mortificazione di Iesù Cristo (d'ogni lato) nel nostro corpo, perchè la vita di Iesù Cristo sia manifestata nelli nostri corpi.
11 For we who live are ever handed over unto death for the sake of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be manifested in our mortal flesh.	11 Chè (per certo) sempre noi che vivemo siamo dati alla morte per Iesù (Cristo), acciò che la vita di Iesù (Cristo) sia manifestata nella nostra carne. [mortale].
12 Therefore, death is at work in us, and life is at work in you.	12 Adunque la morte si adopera in noi, e la vita (avete) in voi,
13 But we have the same Spirit of faith. And just as it is written, “I believed, and for that reason I spoke,” so we also believe, and for that reason, we also speak.	13 avendo quello medesimo spirito di fede, secondo ch' è scritto: io credetti, per la quale cosa favellai; e noi credemo, e perciò noi favelliamo,
14 For we know that the One who raised up Jesus will raise us up also with Jesus and will place us with you.	14 sapiendo che quelli che suscitò il Signore Iesù Cristo, e noi susciterà, e ordinerà noi con voi.
15 Thus, all is for you, so that grace, abounding through many in thanksgiving, may abound to the glory of God.	15 Chè tutte le cose sostenemo per voi, perchè la grazia abondevole per molte azioni di grazie abondi in la gloria di Dio.
16 For this reason, we are not insufficient. But it is as though our outer man is corrupted, while our inner man is renewed from day to day.	16 Per la qual cosa noi non veniamo meno; ma avvegna che il corpo di fuora si corrompa (e) abbia malagevolezza), non di meno l'anima dentro si rinnova (e rinfresca) di giorno in giorno.
17 For though our tribulation is, at the present time, brief and light, it accomplishes in us the weight of a sublime eternal glory, beyond measure.	17 Chè questa cosa, che è tribulazione in questo presente tempo, sì è lieve e in uno momento; e pur tuttavia sì adopera sopra misura in noi eternale peso di gloria.
18 And we are contemplating, not the things that are seen, but the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are temporal, whereas the things that are not seen are eternal.	18 E imperò dico a voi, che non desideriamo le cose che si vedono, [ma le cose che non si vedono]; chè quelle cose che si vedono sono temporali, e quelle che non si vedono son eternali.
