Psalms 32

1 A Psalm of David. Exult in the Lord, you just ones; together praise the upright.	1 (In fine) salmo di David. Rallegratevi, giusti del Signore; alli dritti conviensi la laude.
2 Confess to the Lord with stringed instruments; sing psalms to him with the psaltery, the instrument of ten strings.	2 Confessate al Signore nella citara; laudatelo nel salterio [di] dieci corde.
3 Sing to him a new song. Sing psalms to him skillfully, with loud exclamation.	3 Cantate a lui il cantico nuovo; laudatelo bene nella voce.
4 For the word of the Lord is upright, and all his works are in faith.	4 Imperò che la parola del Signore è drìtta, e tutte le sue opere sono nella fede.
5 He loves mercy and judgment. The earth is full of the mercy of the Lord.	5 Egli ama la misericordia e il giudicio; piena è la terra della misericordia del Signore.
6 By the word of the Lord, the heavens were established, and all their power, by the Spirit of his mouth:	6 Con la parola del Signore sono fermati i cieli; e con lo spirito della sua bocca ogni loro virtù.
7 gathering together the waters of the sea, as if in a container, placing the depths in storage.	7 Congregante le acque del mare come nell' otro; ponente li abissi nelli suoi tesauri.
8 Let all the earth fear the Lord, and may all the inhabitants of the world quake before him.	8 Ogni terra tema il Signore; però che da lui commoveransi tutti gli abitatori del mondo.
9 For he spoke, and they became. He commanded, and they were created.	9 Imperò [che] egli disse, e sono fatti; egli comandò, e sono creati.
10 The Lord scatters the counsels of the nations. Moreover, he reproves the thoughts of the people, and he rejects the counsels of the leaders.	10 Il Signore dissipa i consigli delle genti; e riprova i pensieri de' popoli, e riprova i consigli de' principi.
11 But the counsel of the Lord remains for eternity, the thoughts of his heart from generation to generation.	11 Ma il consiglio del Signore sta in eterno; pensieri del suo cuore sono dalla generazione in la generazione;
12 Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people whom he has chosen as his inheritance.	12 Beata la gente, della quale è il suo Signore, Iddio; il popolo ch' egli ha eletto a sè in eredità.
13 The Lord has looked down from heaven. He has seen all the sons of men.	13 Dal cielo risguardò il Signore; vide tutti li figliuoli delli uomini.
14 From his well-prepared dwelling place, he has gazed upon all who dwell on the earth.	14 Dal suo apparecchiato abitacolo risguardò sopra tutti che àbitano in terra.
15 He has formed the hearts of each one of them; he understands all their works.	15 Egli formò a ciascuno loro cuore; egl' intende tutte le sue opere.
16 The king is not saved by great power, nor will the giant be saved by his many powers.	16 Non salvarassi il re per molta virtù; e il gigante non si salvarà nella moltitudine della sua virtù.
17 The horse is false safety; for he will not be saved by the abundance of his powers.	17 Fallace è il cavallo alla salute; non si salvarà nella molta virtù sua.
18 Behold, the eyes of the Lord are on those who fear him and on those who hope in his mercy,	18 Ecco che li occhi del Signore sono sopra gli suoi tementi, e in coloro che sperano nella sua misericordia.
19 so as to rescue their souls from death and to feed them during famine.	19 Acciò che liberi loro anime dalla morte, e nutrichili nel tempo di fame.
20 Our soul remains with the Lord. For he is our helper and protector.	20 L'anima nostra sostenerà il Signore; perchè egli è nostro aiutore e defensore.
21 For in him, our heart will rejoice, and in his holy name, we have hoped.	21 Imperò che abbiamo sperato nel suo santo nome, in lui rallegrerassi il nostro cuore.
22 Let your mercy be upon us, O Lord, just as we have hoped in you.	22 Sia fatta, Signore, la tua misericordia sopra di noi; sì come abbiamo sperato in te.
