Psalms 148

1 Alleluia. Praise the Lord from the heavens. Praise him on the heights.	1 Alleluia! Louez Yahvé depuis les cieux, louez-le dans les hauteurs,
2 Praise him, all his Angels. Praise him, all his hosts.	2 louez-le, tous ses anges, louez-le, toutes ses armées!
3 Praise him, sun and moon. Praise him, all stars and light.	3 Louez-le, soleil et lune, louez-le, tous les astres de lumière,
4 Praise him, heavens of the heavens. And let all the waters that are above the heavens	4 louez-le, cieux des cieux, et les eaux de dessus les cieux!
5 praise the name of the Lord. For he spoke, and they became. He commanded, and they were created.	5 Qu'ils louent le nom de Yahvé: lui commanda, eux furent créés;
6 He has stationed them in eternity, and for age after age. He has established a precept, and it will not pass away.	6 il les posa pour toujours et à jamais, sous une loi qui jamais ne passera.
7 Praise the Lord from the earth: you dragons and all deep places,	7 Louez Yahvé depuis la terre, monstres marins, tous les abîmes,
8 fire, hail, snow, ice, windstorms, which do his word,	8 feu et grêle, neige et brume, vent d'ouragan, l'ouvrier de sa parole,
9 mountains and all hills, fruitful trees and all cedars,	9 montagnes, toutes les collines, arbre à fruit, tous les cèdres,
10 wild beasts and all cattle, serpents and feathered flying things,	10 bête sauvage, tout le bétail, reptile, et l'oiseau qui vole,
11 kings of the earth and all peoples, leaders and all judges of the earth,	11 rois de la terre, tous les peuples, princes, tous les juges de la terre,
12 young men and virgins. Let the older men with the younger men, praise the name of the Lord.	12 jeunes hommes, aussi les vierges, les vieillards avec les enfants!
13 For his name alone is exalted.	13 Qu'ils louent le nom de Yahvé: sublime est son nom, lui seul, sa majesté par-dessus terre et ciel!
14 Confession of him is beyond heaven and earth, and he has exalted the horn of his people. A hymn to all his holy ones, to the sons of Israel, to a people close to him. Alleluia.	14 Il rehausse la vigueur de son peuple, fierté pour tous ses amis, pour les enfants d'Israël, le peuplede ses proches.
