Psalms 148

1 Alleluia. Praise the Lord from the heavens. Praise him on the heights.	1 Halleluja! Lobt den Herrn vom Himmel her, lobt ihn in den Höhen:
2 Praise him, all his Angels. Praise him, all his hosts.	2 Lobt ihn, all seine Engel, lobt ihn, all seine Scharen;
3 Praise him, sun and moon. Praise him, all stars and light.	3 lobt ihn, Sonne und Mond, lobt ihn, all ihr leuchtenden Sterne;
4 Praise him, heavens of the heavens. And let all the waters that are above the heavens	4 lobt ihn, alle Himmel und ihr Wasser über dem Himmel!
5 praise the name of the Lord. For he spoke, and they became. He commanded, and they were created.	5 Loben sollen sie den Namen des Herrn; denn er gebot, und sie waren erschaffen.
6 He has stationed them in eternity, and for age after age. He has established a precept, and it will not pass away.	6 Er stellte sie hin für immer und ewig, er gab ihnen ein Gesetz, das sie nicht übertreten.
7 Praise the Lord from the earth: you dragons and all deep places,	7 Lobt den Herrn, ihr auf der Erde, ihr Seeungeheuer und all ihr Tiefen,
8 fire, hail, snow, ice, windstorms, which do his word,	8 Feuer und Hagel, Schnee und Nebel, du Sturmwind, der sein Wort vollzieht,
9 mountains and all hills, fruitful trees and all cedars,	9 ihr Berge und all ihr Hügel, ihr Fruchtbäume und alle Zedern,
10 wild beasts and all cattle, serpents and feathered flying things,	10 ihr wilden Tiere und alles Vieh, Kriechtiere und gefiederte Vögel,
11 kings of the earth and all peoples, leaders and all judges of the earth,	11 ihr Könige der Erde und alle Völker, ihr Fürsten und alle Richter auf Erden,
12 young men and virgins. Let the older men with the younger men, praise the name of the Lord.	12 ihr jungen Männer und auch ihr Mädchen, ihr Alten mit den Jungen!
13 For his name alone is exalted.	13 Loben sollen sie den Namen des Herrn; denn sein Name allein ist erhaben, seine Hoheit strahlt über Erde und Himmel.
14 Confession of him is beyond heaven and earth, and he has exalted the horn of his people. A hymn to all his holy ones, to the sons of Israel, to a people close to him. Alleluia.	14 Seinem Volk verleiht er Macht, das ist ein Ruhm für all seine Frommen, für Israels Kinder, das Volk, das ihm nahen darf. Halleluja!
