1 וידבר יהוה אל משה ואל אהרן לאמר	1 And the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying:
2 איש על דגלו באתת לבית אבתם יחנו בני ישראל מנגד סביב לאהל מועד יחנו	2 “Each one shall make camp, by their troops, as well as by their insignia and standards, and by the houses of their kinships, all around the tabernacle of the covenant.”
3 והחנים קדמה מזרחה דגל מחנה יהודה לצבאתם ונשיא לבני יהודה נחשון בן עמינדב	3 To the east, Judah shall fix his tents, by the companies of his army. And the leader of his sons shall be Nahshon the son of Amminadab.
4 וצבאו ופקדיהם ארבעה ושבעים אלף ושש מאות	4 And the entire total of the fighting men from his stock was seventy-four thousand six hundred.
5 והחנים עליו מטה יששכר ונשיא לבני יששכר נתנאל בן צוער	5 Beside him, those of the tribe of Issachar were encamped, whose leader was Nathanael the son of Zuar.
6 וצבאו ופקדיו ארבעה וחמשים אלף וארבע מאות	6 And the entire number of his fighting men was fifty-four thousand four hundred.
7 מטה זבולן ונשיא לבני זבולן אליאב בן חלן	7 In the tribe of Zebulon, the leader was Eliab the son of Helon.
8 וצבאו ופקדיו שבעה וחמשים אלף וארבע מאות	8 All the army of fighting men from his stock were fifty-seven thousand four hundred.
9 כל הפקדים למחנה יהודה מאת אלף ושמנים אלף וששת אלפים וארבע מאות לצבאתם ראשנה יסעו	9 All who were numbered in the camp of Judah were one hundred eighty-six thousand four hundred. And these, by their companies, shall go forth first.
10 דגל מחנה ראובן תימנה לצבאתם ונשיא לבני ראובן אליצור בן שדיאור	10 In the camp of the sons of Ruben, toward the south side, the leader shall be Elizur the son of Shedeur.
11 וצבאו ופקדיו ששה וארבעים אלף וחמש מאות	11 And the entire army of his fighting men, who were numbered, were forty-six thousand five hundred.
12 והחונם עליו מטה שמעון ונשיא לבני שמעון שלמיאל בן צורי שדי	12 Beside him, those of the tribe of Simeon were encamped, whose leader was Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai.
13 וצבאו ופקדיהם תשעה וחמשים אלף ושלש מאות	13 And the entire army of his fighting men, who were numbered, were fifty-nine thousand three hundred.
14 ומטה גד ונשיא לבני גד אליסף בן דעואל	14 In the tribe of Gad, the leader was Eliasaph the son of Reuel.
15 וצבאו ופקדיהם חמשה וארבעים אלף ושש מאות וחמשים	15 And the entire army of his fighting men, who were numbered, were forty-five thousand six hundred fifty.
16 כל הפקדים למחנה ראובן מאת אלף ואחד וחמשים אלף וארבע מאות וחמשים לצבאתם ושנים יסעו	16 All who were counted in the camp of Ruben were one hundred fifty thousand and one thousand four hundred fifty, by their companies. These shall advance in the second place.
17 ונסע אהל מועד מחנה הלוים בתוך המחנת כאשר יחנו כן יסעו איש על ידו לדגליהם	17 But the tabernacle of the testimony shall be lifted up by the officers of the Levites and their companies. In the manner in which it is set up, so also shall it be taken down. Each one shall advance according to their places and ranks.
18 דגל מחנה אפרים לצבאתם ימה ונשיא לבני אפרים אלישמע בן עמיהוד	18 On the west side, there shall be the camp of the sons of Ephraim, whose leader was Elishama the son of Ammihud.
19 וצבאו ופקדיהם ארבעים אלף וחמש מאות	19 The entire army of his fighting men, who were numbered, were forty thousand five hundred.
20 ועליו מטה מנשה ונשיא לבני מנשה גמליאל בן פדהצור	20 And with them was the tribe of the sons of Manasseh, whose leader was Gamaliel the son of Pedahzur.
21 וצבאו ופקדיהם שנים ושלשים אלף ומאתים	21 And the entire army of his fighting men, who were numbered, were thirty-two thousand two hundred.
22 ומטה בנימן ונשיא לבני בנימן אבידן בן גדעני	22 In the tribe of the sons of Benjamin, the leader was Abidan the son of Gideoni.
23 וצבאו ופקדיהם חמשה ושלשים אלף וארבע מאות	23 And the entire army of his fighting men, who were counted, were thirty-five thousand four hundred.
24 כל הפקדים למחנה אפרים מאת אלף ושמנת אלפים ומאה לצבאתם ושלשים יסעו	24 All who were numbered in the camp of Ephraim were one hundred eight thousand one hundred, by their companies. These shall advance third.
25 דגל מחנה דן צפנה לצבאתם ונשיא לבני דן אחיעזר בן עמישדי	25 Toward the north side, the sons of Dan were encamped, whose leader was Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai.
26 וצבאו ופקדיהם שנים וששים אלף ושבע מאות	26 The entire army of his fighting men, who were numbered, were sixty-two thousand seven hundred.
27 והחנים עליו מטה אשר ונשיא לבני אשר פגעיאל בן עכרן	27 Beside him, those of the tribe of Asher fixed their tents, whose leader was Pagiel the son of Ochran.
28 וצבאו ופקדיהם אחד וארבעים אלף וחמש מאות	28 The entire army of his fighting men, who were numbered, were forty thousand and one thousand five hundred.
29 ומטה נפתלי ונשיא לבני נפתלי אחירע בן עינן	29 From the tribe of the sons of Naphtali, the leader was Ahira the son of Enan.
30 וצבאו ופקדיהם שלשה וחמשים אלף וארבע מאות	30 The entire army of his fighting men were fifty-three thousand four hundred.
31 כל הפקדים למחנה דן מאת אלף ושבעה וחמשים אלף ושש מאות לאחרנה יסעו לדגליהם	31 All who were numbered in the camp of Dan were one hundred fifty-seven thousand six hundred; and these shall advance at the very end.
32 אלה פקודי בני ישראל לבית אבתם כל פקודי המחנת לצבאתם שש מאות אלף ושלשת אלפים וחמש מאות וחמשים	32 This is the number of the sons of Israel, of their army divided by the houses of their kinships and their companies: six hundred three thousand five hundred fifty.
33 והלוים לא התפקדו בתוך בני ישראל כאשר צוה יהוה את משה	33 But the Levites were not numbered among the sons of Israel. For so the Lord had instructed Moses.
34 ויעשו בני ישראל ככל אשר צוה יהוה את משה כן חנו לדגליהם וכן נסעו איש למשפחתיו על בית אבתיו	34 And the sons of Israel acted according to all the things that the Lord had commanded. They were encamped by their companies, and they advanced by the families and houses of their fathers.
