Osea 3

LA SACRA BIBBIA	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Il Signore mi disse: "Va' di nuovo, ama la donna amata da suo marito, benché adultera, come il Signore ama i figli d'Israele, benché essi si volgano verso altri dèi e amino le schiacciate di uve passe!".	1 Yahweh said to me, 'Go again, love a woman who loves another man, an adulteress, and love her asYahweh loves the Israelites although they turn to other gods and love raisin cakes.'
2 Io dunque me la comprai con quindici pezzi d'argento, una misura e mezza di orzo.	2 So I bought her for fifteen shekels of silver, a homer of barley and a skin of wine,
3 Io le dissi: "Per un lungo periodo rimarrai al tuo posto con me, non ti prostituirai e non sarai di un altro e neppure io verrò da te!".	3 and I said to her, 'You wil have to spend a long time waiting for me without playing the whore andwithout giving yourself to any man, and I wil behave in the same way towards you.'
4 Perché per un lungo periodo i figli d'Israele saranno senza re e senza principe, senza sacrificio e senza stele, senza efod e senza terafim.	4 For the Israelites wil have to spend a long time without king or leader, without sacrifice or sacred pil ar,without ephod or domestic images;
5 Dopo ciò i figli d'Israele si convertiranno, cercheranno il Signore loro Dio e Davide loro re; trepidanti accorreranno al Signore e ai suoi beni nei giorni avvenire.	5 but after that, the Israel- ites wil return and again seek Yahweh their God and David their king, and turntrembling to Yahweh for his bounty in the final days.
