Isaia 52

LA SACRA BIBBIA	NEW AMERICAN BIBLE
1 Déstati, déstati, rivèstiti della tua forza, o Sion! Indossa le vesti più splendide, o Gerusalemme, città santa! Perché non entreranno più in te l'incirconciso e l'impuro.	1 Awake, awake! Put on your strength, O Zion; Put on your glorious garments, O Jerusalem, holy city. No longer shall the uncircumcised or the unclean enter you.
2 Scuotiti dalla polvere, alzati, siediti, Gerusalemme! Sciogliti i legami del tuo collo, figlia di Sion prigioniera!	2 Shake off the dust, ascend to the throne, Jerusalem; Loose the bonds from your neck, O captive daughter Zion!
3 Perché così parla il Signore: "Voi siete stati venduti senza compenso e sarete riscattati senza denaro".	3 For thus says the LORD: You were sold for nothing, and without money you shall be redeemed.
4 Perché così parla il Signore Dio: "Il mio popolo anticamente discese in Egitto per soggiornarvi; e l'Assiria l'ha oppresso senza ragione.	4 Thus says the Lord GOD: To Egypt in the beginning my people went down, to sojourn there; Assyria, too, oppressed them for nought.
5 Ma ora, che cosa faccio io qui? Oracolo del Signore. Sì, il mio popolo è stato deportato gratuitamente, i suoi tiranni erompono in grida di gioia, oracolo del Signore, e continuamente, ogni giorno il mio nome è disprezzato.	5 But now, what am I to do here? says the LORD. My people have been taken away without redress; their rulers make a boast of it, says the LORD; all the day my name is constantly reviled.
6 Perciò il mio popolo conoscerà in quel giorno il mio nome, poiché io sono colui che dice: Eccomi".	6 Therefore on that day my people shall know my renown, that it is I who have foretold it. Here I am!
7 Come sono belli sulle montagne i piedi del messaggero che annuncia la pace, che reca una buona notizia, che annuncia la salvezza, che dice a Sion: "Il tuo Dio regna"!	7 How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him who brings glad tidings, Announcing peace, bearing good news, announcing salvation, and saying to Zion, "Your God is King!"
8 Una voce! Le tue sentinelle alzano la voce, insieme gridano di gioia, perché vedono con i loro occhi il Signore, che ritorna in Sion.	8 Hark! Your watchmen raise a cry, together they shout for joy, For they see directly, before their eyes, the LORD restoring Zion.
9 Esultate, acclamate insieme, o rovine di Gerusalemme! Perché il Signore consola il suo popolo, redime Gerusalemme.	9 Break out together in song, O ruins of Jerusalem! For the LORD comforts his people, he redeems Jerusalem.
10 Il Signore mette a nudo il braccio della sua santità davanti a tutti i popoli, e tutti i confini della terra vedranno la salvezza del nostro Dio.	10 The LORD has bared his holy arm in the sight of all the nations; All the ends of the earth will behold the salvation of our God.
11 Fuori, fuori, partite di là, non toccate nulla d'impuro! Uscite da lei, purificatevi, voi che portate gli utensili del Signore!	11 Depart, depart, come forth from there, touch nothing unclean! Out from there! Purify yourselves, you who carry the vessels of the LORD.
12 Poiché non uscirete in fretta, non ve ne andrete come fuggitivi, perché davanti a voi marcia il Signore e vostra retroguardia è il Dio d'Israele.	12 Yet not in fearful haste will you come out, nor leave in headlong flight, For the LORD comes before you, and your rear guard is the God of Israel.
13 Ecco, il mio servo avrà successo, sarà innalzato, elevato ed esaltato grandemente.	13 See, my servant shall prosper, he shall be raised high and greatly exalted.
14 Come molti si stupirono di lui -- talmente sfigurato era il suo aspetto al di là di quello di un uomo, e la sua figura al di là di quella dei figli dell'uomo --	14 Even as many were amazed at him-- so marred was his look beyond that of man, and his appearance beyond that of mortals--
15 così molte nazioni resteranno attonite, i re chiuderanno la bocca a suo riguardo, perché vedranno ciò che non era stato loro narrato, e comprenderanno ciò che non avevano udito.	15 So shall he startle many nations, because of him kings shall stand speechless; For those who have not been told shall see, those who have not heard shall ponder it.
