1 Preghiera. Di Davide. Tendi l'orecchio, Signore, e rispondimi, poiché sono povero e misero.	1 [Prayer Of David] Listen to me, Yahweh, answer me, for I am poor and needy.
2 Custodisci l'anima mia, poiché sono un tuo fedele; salva il tuo servo che spera in te, tu che sei il mio Dio.	2 Guard me, for I am faithful, save your servant who relies on you. You are my God,
3 Abbi pietà di me, o Signore, mentre a te grido tutto il giorno.	3 take pity on me, Lord, for to you I cry al the day.
4 Fa' lieta l'anima del tuo servo, mentre a te elevo, o Signore, l'anima mia.	4 Fil your servant's heart with joy, Lord, for to you I raise up my heart.
5 Sì, o Signore, tu sei buono e concedi il tuo perdono, sei ricco di misericordia con quanti t'invocano.	5 Lord, you are kind and forgiving, rich in faithful love for al who cal upon you.
6 Tendi l'orecchio, Signore, alla mia preghiera, presta attenzione alla voce della mia supplica.	6 Yahweh, hear my prayer, listen to the sound of my pleading.
7 Quando l'angoscia mi stringe, io sempre t'invoco, poiché tu mi rispondi.	7 In my day of distress I cal upon you, because you answer me, Lord;
8 Nessuno c'è fra gli dèi, o Signore, che sia simile a te; non ci sono opere che siano uguali alle tue.	8 among the gods there is none to compare with you, no great deeds to compare with yours.
9 Tutte le genti, quante ne hai create, verranno, o Signore, e si prostreranno davanti a te e renderanno omaggio al tuo nome:	9 Al nations wil come and adore you, Lord, and give glory to your name.
10 "Tu sei grande, tu operi prodigi; tu solo sei Dio".	10 For you are great and do marvel ous deeds, you, God, and none other.
11 Insegnami la tua via, o Signore: camminerò nella tua fedeltà. Fa' che il mio cuore tema solo il tuo nome.	11 Teach me, Yahweh, your ways, that I may not stray from your loyalty; let my heart's one aim be tofear your name.
12 Ti renderò grazie con tutto il mio cuore, Signore mio Dio, e darò gloria per sempre al tuo nome;	12 I thank you with al my heart, Lord my God, I wil glorify your name for ever,
13 poiché grande è la tua misericordia con me: hai strappato la mia anima dal profondo degli inferi.	13 for your faithful love for me is so great that you have rescued me from the depths of Sheol.
14 Arroganti sono insorti contro di me, o Dio, una schiera di violenti hanno attentato alla mia vita; non hanno posto te davanti ai loro occhi.	14 Arrogant men, God, are rising up against me, a brutal gang is after my life, in their scheme of thingsyou have no place.
15 Ma tu sei, o Signore, un Dio pietoso e pronto alla compassione, lento all'ira e ricco in misericordia e fedeltà.	15 But you, Lord, God of tenderness and mercy, slow to anger, rich in faithful love and loyalty,
16 Vieni a me incontro con la tua compassione; concedi al tuo servo la tua forza, salva il figlio della tua ancella.	16 turn to me and pity me. Give to your servant your strength, to the child of your servant your savinghelp,
17 Opera per me un segno di benevolenza, affinché quelli che mi odiano rimangano confusi, vedendo che mi hai soccorso e mi hai consolato.	17 give me a sign of your kindness.
	18 My enemies wil see to their shame that you, Yahweh, help and console me.
