Salmi 82

LA SACRA BIBBIA	DOUAI-RHEIMS
1 Salmo. Di Asaf. Dio si erge nell'assemblea divina, in mezzo agli dèi emana la sua sentenza:	1 A psalm for Asaph. God hath stood in the congregation of gods: and being in the midst of them he judgeth gods.
2 "Fino a quando emanerete sentenze inique, e prenderete le parti degli empi?	2 How long will you judge unjustly: and accept the persons of the wicked?
3 Difendete piuttosto il debole e l'orfano, rendete giustizia al misero e al povero.	3 Judge for the needy and fatherless: do justice to the humble and the poor.
4 Liberate il debole e l'indigente, strappatelo alla stretta dell'empio".	4 Rescue the poor; and deliver the needy out of the hand of the sinner.
5 Essi non capiscono, non possono intendere; il loro cammino sta nelle tenebre, possano pur vacillare tutte le fondamenta della terra.	5 They have not known nor understood: they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth shall be moved.
6 Io riflettei: "Siete dèi, tutti figli dell'Altissimo!	6 I have said: You are gods and all of you the sons of the most High.
7 Eppure morrete come ogni uomo, come ognuno dei potenti cadrete!".	7 But you like men shall die: and shall fall like one of the princes.
8 Sorgi, o Dio, giudica la terra. Sì, l'eredità tu avrai di tutte le genti.	8 Arise, O God, judge thou the earth: for thou shalt inherit among all the nations.
