1 Di Davide. Salmo. Misericordia ed equità canterò; inneggerò a te, o Signore.	1 A psalm of David. I sing of love and justice; to you, LORD, I sing praise.
2 Agirò con saggezza nella via dell'innocenza, perché a me possa venire la verità, camminerò nell'integrità del mio cuore, nell'interno della mia casa.	2 I follow the way of integrity; when will you come to me? I act with integrity of heart within my royal court.
3 Non metterò davanti ai miei occhi alcuna azione malvagia. Ho in odio l'agire degli empi, non intendo aderirvi.	3 I do not allow into my presence anyone who speaks perversely. Whoever acts shamefully I hate; no such person can be my friend.
4 Starà lontano da me ogni cuore perverso; non vorrò saperne del malvagio.	4 I shun the devious of heart; the wicked I do not tolerate.
5 Chi calunnia in segreto il suo prossimo, lo farò perire. Chi è altezzoso di occhi e superbo di cuore, non vorrò sopportarlo.	5 Whoever slanders another in secret I reduce to silence. Haughty eyes and arrogant hearts I cannot endure.
6 I miei occhi saranno sui fedeli del paese, perché stiano con me; chi va nella via dell'innocenza, questi sarà mio ministro.	6 I look to the faithful of the land; they alone can be my companions. Those who follow the way of integrity, they alone can enter my service.
7 Non dimorerà nella mia casa chi agisce con inganno; chi proferisce menzogne non reggerà davanti ai miei occhi.	7 No one who practices deceit can hold a post in my court. No one who speaks falsely can be among my advisors.
8 Ogni mattina farò perire tutti gli empi del paese; estirperò dalla città del Signore tutti i malfattori.	8 Each morning I clear the wicked from the land, and rid the LORD'S city of all evildoers.
