CATHOLIC PUBLIC DOMAINVULGATA
1 Alleluia. Praise the name of the Lord. You servants, praise the Lord.1 Alleluja. Laudate nomen Domini ;
laudate, servi, Dominum :
2 You who stand in the house of the Lord, in the courts of the house of our God:2 qui statis in domo Domini,
in atriis domus Dei nostri.
3 praise the Lord, for the Lord is good. Sing psalms to his name, for it is sweet.3 Laudate Dominum, quia bonus Dominus ;
psallite nomini ejus, quoniam suave.
4 For the Lord has chosen Jacob for himself, Israel for his own possession.4 Quoniam Jacob elegit sibi Dominus ;
Israël in possessionem sibi.
5 For I have known that the Lord is great, and our God is before all gods.5 Quia ego cognovi quod magnus est Dominus,
et Deus noster præ omnibus diis.
6 All things whatsoever that he willed, the Lord did: in heaven, on earth, in the sea, and in all the deep places.6 Omnia quæcumque voluit Dominus fecit,
in cælo, in terra, in mari et in omnibus abyssis.
7 He leads clouds from the ends of the earth. He has created lightnings in the rain. He has produced winds from his storehouses.7 Educens nubes ab extremo terræ,
fulgura in pluviam fecit ;
qui producit ventos de thesauris suis.
8 He struck the first-born of Egypt, from man even to cattle.8 Qui percussit primogenita Ægypti,
ab homine usque ad pecus.
9 He sent signs and wonders into your midst, O Egypt: upon Pharaoh and upon all his servants.9 Et misit signa et prodigia in medio tui, Ægypte :
in Pharaonem, et in omnes servos ejus.
10 He has struck many nations, and he has slaughtered strong kings:10 Qui percussit gentes multas,
et occidit reges fortes :
11 Sihon, king of the Amorites, and Og, king of Bashan, and all the kingdoms of Canaan.11 Sehon, regem Amorrhæorum, et Og, regem Basan,
et omnia regna Chanaan :
12 And he gave their land as an inheritance, as an inheritance for his people Israel.12 et dedit terram eorum hæreditatem,
hæreditatem Israël populo suo.
13 Your name, O Lord, is in eternity. Your memorial, O Lord, is from generation to generation.13 Domine, nomen tuum in æternum ;
Domine, memoriale tuum in generationem et generationem.
14 For the Lord will judge his people, and he will be petitioned by his servants.14 Quia judicabit Dominus populum suum,
et in servis suis deprecabitur.
15 The idols of the Gentiles are silver and gold, the works of the hands of men.15 Simulacra gentium argentum et aurum,
opera manuum hominum.
16 They have a mouth, and do not speak. They have eyes, and do not see.16 Os habent, et non loquentur ;
oculos habent, et non videbunt.
17 They have ears, and do not hear. For neither is there any breath in their mouths.17 Aures habent, et non audient ;
neque enim est spiritus in ore ipsorum.
18 Let those who make them become like them, along with all who trust in them.18 Similes illis fiant qui faciunt ea,
et omnes qui confidunt in eis.
19 Bless the Lord, O house of Israel. Bless the Lord, O house of Aaron.19 Domus Israël, benedicite Domino ;
domus Aaron, benedicite Domino.
20 Bless the Lord, O house of Levi. You who fear the Lord, bless the Lord.20 Domus Levi, benedicite Domino ;
qui timetis Dominum, benedicite Domino.
21 The Lord is blessed from Zion, by those who dwell in Jerusalem.21 Benedictus Dominus ex Sion,
qui habitat in Jerusalem.
