Joshua 1

NEW JERUSALEM	Biblia Tysiąclecia
1 When Moses, servant of Yahweh, was dead, Yahweh spoke to Joshua son of Nun, Moses' adjutant. Hesaid,	1 Po śmierci Mojżesza, sługi Pana, rzekł Pan do Jozuego, syna Nuna, pomocnika Mojżesza:
2 'Moses my servant is dead; go now and cross this Jordan, you and this whole people, into the countrywhich I am giving to them (the Israelites).	2 Mojżesz, sługa mój, umarł; teraz więc wstań, przepraw się przez ten oto Jordan, ty i cały ten lud, do ziemi, którą Ja daję Izraelitom.
3 Every place you tread with the soles of your feet I shall give you, as I declared to Moses that I would.	3 Każde miejsce, na które zstąpi wasza noga, Ja wam daję, jak zapowiedziałem Mojżeszowi.
4 From the desert and the Lebanon, to the Great River, the Euphrates (the entire country of the Hittites),and as far as the Great Sea to westward, is to be your territory.	4 Od pustyni i od Libanu aż do Wielkiej Rzeki, rzeki Eufrat, cała ziemia Chetytów aż do Wielkiego Morza, w stronę zachodzącego słońca, będzie waszą krainą.
5 As long as you live, no one wil be able to resist you; I shal be with you as I was with Moses; I shall notfail you or desert you.	5 Nikt się nie ostoi przed tobą przez wszystkie dni twego życia. Jak byłem z Mojżeszem, tak będę z tobą, nie opuszczę cię ani porzucę.
6 'Be strong and stand firm, for you are the man to give this people possession of the land which I sworeto their ancestors that I would give them.	6 Bądź mężny i mocny, ponieważ ty rozdasz temu ludowi w posiadanie ziemię, którą poprzysiągłem dać ich przodkom.
7 Only be strong and stand very firm and be careful to keep the whole Law which my servant Moses laiddown for you. Do not swerve from this either to right or to left, and then you wil succeed wherever you go.	7 Tylko bądź mężny i mocny, przestrzegając wypełniania całego Prawa, które nakazał ci Mojżesz, sługa mój. Nie odstępuj od niego ani w prawo, ani w lewo, aby się okazała twoja roztropność we wszystkich przedsięwzięciach.
8 Have the book of this Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may careful ykeep everything that is written in it. Then your undertakings wil prosper, then you will have success.	8 Niech ta Księga Prawa będzie zawsze na twych ustach: rozważaj ją w dzień i w nocy, abyś ściśle spełniał wszystko, co w niej jest napisane, bo tylko wtedy powiedzie ci się i okaże się twoja roztropność.
9 Have I not told you: Be strong and stand firm? Be fearless and undaunted, for go where you may,Yahweh your God is with you.'	9 Czyż ci nie rozkazałem: Bądź mężny i mocny? Nie bój się i nie lękaj, ponieważ z tobą jest Pan, Bóg twój, wszędzie, gdziekolwiek pójdziesz.
10 Joshua then gave the people's officials this instruction:	10 Jozue rozkazał wówczas zwierzchnikom ludu, mówiąc:
11 'Go through the camp and give the people this order, "Make provisions ready, for in three days' timeyou wil cross this Jordan and go on to take possession of the land which Yahweh your God is giving you as yourown." '	11 Przejdźcie przez obóz i nakażcie ludowi: Przygotujcie sobie żywność, gdyż po trzech dniach przeprawicie się przez ten Jordan, abyście zajęli ziemię, którą Pan, Bóg wasz, daje wam w posiadanie.
12 Joshua then said to the Reubenites and Gadites and the half-tribe of Manasseh,	12 Następnie Jozue przemówił do Rubenitów, Gadytów i połowy pokolenia Manassesa:
13 'Remember the order given you by Moses, servant of Yahweh: Yahweh your God, in bringing you torest, has given you the land where we are.	13 Przypomnijcie sobie rozkaz, jaki dał wam Mojżesz, sługa Pana, gdy rzekł: Pan, Bóg wasz, strzeże waszego pokoju i oddaje wam tę ziemię.
14 Your wives, your little ones and your cattle must stay in the country given you by Moses beyond theJordan. But al you fighting men must cross in battle formation at the head of your brothers and help them,	14 Wasze żony, dzieci i trzody mogą pozostać w kraju, który dał wam Mojżesz za Jordanem. Wy jednak musicie wyruszyć uzbrojeni na czele swych braci, wszyscy zdolni do boju mężczyźni, i musicie im pomóc,
15 until Yahweh grants rest to your brothers and you alike, when they too have taken possession of theland which Yahweh your God is giving to them. Then you may go back and take possession of the land whichbelongs to you and which Moses, servant of Yahweh, has given you on the eastern side of the Jordan.'	15 aż Pan użyczy pokoju braciom waszym, jak i wam, i aż oni również posiądą ziemię, którą da im Pan, Bóg wasz. Wtedy możecie wrócić do kraju, który do was należy i który dał wam Mojżesz, sługa Pana, po drugiej stronie Jordanu, ku wschodowi słońca.
16 They answered Joshua, 'We wil do whatever you order us, and wherever you send us we wil go.	16 Odpowiedzieli więc Jozuemu tymi słowami: Wszystko, coś nam rozkazał, uczynimy i gdziekolwiek nas poślesz, pójdziemy.
17 We obeyed Moses in everything, and now we will obey you. Only may Yahweh your God be with youas he was with Moses!	17 Jak posłuszni byliśmy we wszystkim Mojżeszowi, tak będziemy posłuszni i tobie. Oby tylko Pan, Bóg twój, był z tobą, jak był z Mojżeszem.
18 If anyone rebels against your orders or will not listen to your commands, let him be put to death. Only be strong and stand firm.'	18 Ktokolwiek sprzeciwi się twojemu głosowi i nie będzie posłuszny twemu słowu we wszystkim, co mu rozkażesz, musi umrzeć. Tylko ty bądź mężny i mocny.
