Leviticus 5

1 ' "If someone sins in any of these fol owing cases: "He should have come forward to give evidence whenhe heard the formal adjuration, having seen the incident or known the facts; but he has not spoken out, and sobears the consequences of his guilt;	1 «Якщо хтось ізгрішить тим, що почув проклін, і не об’явить його, хоч був його наочним свідком чи напевне дізнався від інших, то понесе вину на собі.
2 "or someone touches something unclean, whatever it may be -- the dead body of an unclean animal,wild or tame, or of one of the unclean reptiles -- and without realising it becomes unclean, he becomesanswerable for it;	2 Або коли хто, не знаючи про те, доторкнеться до чогось нечистого, чи до стерва нечистого звіря, чи стерва нечистої тварини, чи стерва нечистого повзуна, не знаючи, що воно нечисте, то сам стане нечистим і винним.
3 "or he touches some human uncleanness, whatever it may be, contact with which makes him unclean;he does not notice it, then, realising it later, he becomes answerable for it;	3 Або як доторкнеться, не знаючи про те, до якоїнебудь людської нечистоти, яким би то робом вона й не занечищувала, то потім, як дізнається, стане винним.
4 "or someone lets slip an oath to do something either evil or good, in any of those matters on whichsomeone may let slip an oath; he does not notice it, then, realising it later, he becomes answerable for it;	4 Або коли хто поклянеться необачно, тільки словами, сподіяти щось лихе чи добре в тих речах, що в них люди звичайно необачно клянуться, хоч він про те не знав, а потім дізнається, — буде винен у тім, у чім поклявся.
5 "if he is answerable in any of those cases, he wil have to confess the sin committed.	5 І як стане винним у чімнебудь такім, мусить признатися, чим згрішив,
6 As a sacrifice of reparation for the sin committed, he wil bring Yahweh a female from the flock (sheep orgoat) as a sacrifice for sin; and the priest wil perform the rite of expiation for him to free him from his sin.	6 і принести Господеві покутну жертву за сподіяний гріх: самицю з отари, вівцю або козу як жертву за гріх, а священик відслужить покуту за його провину.
7 "If he cannot afford an animal from the flock as a sacrifice of reparation for the sin he has committed, hewil bring Yahweh two turtledoves or two young pigeons -- one as a sacrifice for sin and the other as a burntoffering.	7 Коли ж не спроможеться на щось із отари, то принесе Господеві в покуту за провину, що її допустився, пару горлиць або пару голубенят; одне на покутну жертву за гріх, а друге на всепалення.
8 He wil bring them to the priest who wil first offer the one intended for the sacrifice for sin. The priest wilwring its neck but not remove the head.	8 Він подасть їх священикові, а цей принесе наперед те, що на жертву за гріх, і зломить йому шийку при голівці, не відділяючи її.
9 He wil sprinkle the side of the altar with the victim's blood, and then squeeze out the rest of the blood atthe foot of the altar. This is a sacrifice for sin.	9 І побризкає кров’ю жертви за гріх боки жертовника, решту ж крови видушить коло підніжка жертовника; це жертва за гріх.
10 He will then offer the other bird as a burnt offering according to the ritual. This is how the priest mustperform the rite of expiation for the person for the sin he has committed, and he will be forgiven.	10 А друге впорає як усепалення, за обрядом. Так відслужить священик покуту за сподіяний ним гріх, і проститься йому.
11 "If he cannot afford two turtledoves or two young pigeons, he will bring a tenth of an ephah of wheatenflour as an offering for the sin committed; he must not mix oil with it or put incense on it, since this is a sacrificefor sin.	11 Коли ж і на пару горлиць або на пару голубенят не спромога його, то нехай принесе в офіру за гріх десятину з ефи питльованої муки; він не зливатиме на неї олії, ані не кластиме на неї ладану, бо це жертва за гріх.
12 He will bring it to the priest, who wil take a handful of it as a memorial, and burn this on the altar inaddition to the offerings of food burnt for Yahweh. This is a sacrifice for sin.	12 І принесе її священикові, який візьме з неї повну жменю — як пахоші — і спалить їх на жертовнику, зверху на жертвах, палених Господеві: це жертва за гріх.
13 This is how the priest must perform the rite of expiation for the person for the sin he has committed inany of those cases, and he wil be forgiven. In this case, the priest has the same rights as in the case of a cerealoffering." '	13 Так відслужить священик покуту за гріх його, що ним він де-вчому провинився, й проститься йому. Священик же одержить те саме, що й при офірі.»
14 Yahweh spoke to Moses and said:	14 І промовив Господь Мойсеєві:
15 'If someone is unfaithful and sins inadvertently by infringing Yahweh's sacred rights, as a sacrifice ofreparation he must bring Yahweh an unblemished ram from his flock, the value of which wil be decided by youin silver shekels according to the rate of the sanctuary-shekel.	15 «Коли хтось спроневіриться і ненароком згрішить проти Господніх святощів, має принести Господеві в жертву за провину барана з отари, без вади, вартістю стільки срібних шеклів, скільки ти оціниш, по шек-лю святині, на жертву за провину.
16 He will make amends for what his sin subtracted from the sacred rights, adding one-fifth to the value,and give it to the priest. The priest wil then perform the rite of expiation for him with the ram for the sacrifice ofreparation and he wil be forgiven.	16 Він мусить відшкодувати це, що заподіяв святині, та ще й додати п’ятину та разом мусить віддати це священикові; а священик пожертвує барана як відшкодування, відслужить покуту за нього, і проститься йому.
17 'If someone sins and without realising it does one of the things forbidden by Yahweh'scommandments, he will answer for it and bear the consequences of his guilt.	17 Коли хто несвідомо згрішить і зробить щось, чого не годиться робити, що забороняють Господні заповіді, він провиниться, і гріх тяжітиме на ньому;
18 As a sacrifice of reparation he must bring the priest an unblemished ram from his flock to the valuewhich you decide, and the priest wil perform the rite of expiation for him for the oversight unwittingly committed,and he wil be forgiven.	18 нехай він принесе священикові в жертву за відшкодування барана з отари, без вади, по твоїй оцінці, а священик спокутує за нього його провину, що нею несвідомо провинився, і проститься йому.
19 This is a sacrifice of reparation; the man was certainly answerable to Yahweh.'	19 Це жертва за відшкодування; бо направду він провинився перед Господом.»
20 Yahweh spoke to Moses and said:	20 І сказав Господь Мойсеєві:
21 'If someone sins and is unfaithful against Yahweh by deceiving his fel ow-countryman over a deposit ora security, or by withholding something due to him or by exploiting him;	21 «Коли хтось ізгрішить і провиниться проти Господа, відмовляючи своєму ближньому чи то повірене на схованок, чи на заклад, чи крадене, чи інакше загарбане в нього;
22 'or if he finds lost property and denies it; 'or if he perjures himself about anything that a human beingmay do criminal y in such matters;	22 чи, знайшовши загублене, заперечує те, чи клянеться неправдиво про щонебудь, що люди звичайно творять і грішать;
23 'if he sins and so becomes answerable, he must restore what he has taken or demanded in excess:the deposit confided to him, the lost property that he has found,	23 одне слово: коли грішить і провиняється, мусить повернути крадене, чи загарбане, чи повірене йому на сховок, чи загублене, що його знайшов;
24 or any object about which he has perjured himself. He will add one-fifth to the principal and pay thewhole to the person who held the property rights on the day when he incurred the guilt.	24 чи що б воно не було, про що клявся ложно; нехай поверне його сповна та ще й додасть п’ятину до нього; він оддасть це його власникові в день жертви за відшкодування.
25 He will then bring Yahweh an unblemished ram from his flock to the value which you decide, to thepriest as a sacrifice of reparation,	25 Він приведе до священика, як жертву відшкодування Господеві, барана з отари, без вади, по твоїй оцінці.
26 and the priest wil perform the rite of expiation for him before Yahweh and he will be forgiven, whateverthe act by which he incurred guilt.'	26 А священик спокутує за нього перед Господом, і проститься йому, яка б не була провина, що нею провинився.»
