Isaiah 6

NEW JERUSALEM	BIBBIA VOLGARE
1 In the year of King Uzziah's death I saw the Lord seated on a high and lofty throne; his train fil ed thesanctuary.	1 Nell' anno il quale morì il re Ozia, io vidi sedere il Signore sopra una sedia grande e levata; (e la casa era piena della sua maestà), e quelle cose che erano sotto lui riempievano il tempio.
2 Above him stood seraphs, each one with six wings: two to cover its face, two to cover its feet and two forflying;	2 Li Serafini stavano di sopra quello; ed erano sei ale ad uno, e sei all' altro; e con due ale velavano la sua faccia, e con due ale velavano i suoi piedi, e con due ali volavano.
3 and they were shouting these words to each other: Holy, holy, holy is Yahweh Sabaoth. His glory fil s thewhole earth.	3 E gridavano l'uno all' altro, e dicevano: santo, santo, santo, Signore Iddio degli eserciti, piena è ogni terra della sua gloria.
4 The door-posts shook at the sound of their shouting, and the Temple was ful of smoke.	4 E alla voce di colui che gridava son commossi li sopra sogliari de' cardini, e la casa fu piena di fumo.
5 Then I said: 'Woe is me! I am lost, for I am a man of unclean lips and I live among a people of uncleanlips, and my eyes have seen the King, Yahweh Sabaoth.'	5 E io dissi: guai a me! imperciò che io tacetti, imperciò che fui uomo il quale hae i labbri polluti, e abito nel mezzo del popolo che ha le labbra corrutte, e hoe veduto il re Signore delli eserciti colli miei occhi.
6 Then one of the seraphs flew to me, holding in its hand a live coal which it had taken from the altar witha pair of tongs.	6 E voloe uno delli Serafini a me; e nella mano sua era una pietra picciola ritonda e durissima (e parea ignita di fuoco), la quale è detta calcolo, il quale [lo] Serafino avea tolto dell' altare colla forfece.
7 With this it touched my mouth and said: 'Look, this has touched your lips, your guilt has been removedand your sin forgiven.'	7 E toccò la mia bocca, e sì mi disse: ecco io hoe toccate le tue labbra, e sarà tolta da te la tua iniquità, e sarae il tuo peccato mondato.
8 I then heard the voice of the Lord saying: 'Whom shal I send? Who will go for us?' And I said, 'Here amI, send me.'	8 E udi' io la voce del Signore dicente: chi manderò? e chi girà per noi? E io dissi: ecco me (Signore), manda me.
9 He said: 'Go, and say to this people, "Listen and listen, but never understand! Look and look, but neverperceive!"	9 E disse: va, e dirai a questo popolo: audite voi che udite, e non vogliate intendere; e vedete la visione, e non vogliate conoscere.
10 Make this people's heart coarse, make their ears dul , shut their eyes tight, or they wil use their eyes tosee, use their ears to hear, use their heart to understand, and change their ways and be healed.'	10 Acceca il cuore di questo popolo, e aggrava li suoi orecchi, e chiudi li suoi occhi, acciò che non veggia colli suoi occhi, e non oda colle sue orecchie, e non intenda col suo cuore, e convertasi, e poi lo liberi.
11 I then said, 'Until when, Lord?' He replied, 'Until towns are in ruins and deserted, houses untenantedand a great desolation reigns in the land,	11 E io dissi: Signore, quanto tempo sarà questo? E disse il Signore: dinfino a tanto che le cittadi saranno desolate sanza abitatore, e le case sanza alcuno uomo, e la terra rimarrà deserta.
12 and Yahweh has driven the people away and the country is total y abandoned.	12 E da lungi manderà gli uomini il Signore, e sarae multiplicata quella che istà derelitta in mezzo della terra.
13 And suppose one-tenth of them are left in it, that wil be stripped again, like the terebinth, like the oak,cut back to the stock; their stock is a holy seed.'	13 E ancora è in lei la decimazione; e convertirassi e sarae nel conspetto di tutti come terebinto e quercia la quale li suoi rami spande; seme santo sarae quello che istarae in lei.
