Isaiah 31

NEW JERUSALEM	BIBBIA VOLGARE
1 Woe to those going down to Egypt for help, who put their trust in horses, who rely on the quantity ofchariots, and on great strength of cavalrymen, but do not look to the Holy One of Israel or consult Yahweh.	1 Guai a quelli che iscendono in Egitto per aiuto, speranti nelli cavalli, e aventi fiducia sopra li carri, però che sono molti, e sopra li cavalieri, perchè sono molto forti; e non si confidano nello santo Israel, e non richiesono lo Signore.
2 Yet he too is wise and can bring disaster and he wil not go back on his word; he wil rise against thebreed of evil-doers and against those who protect wrong-doers.	2 Ma egli è savio; mandò loro lo male, e non rimosse le sue parole; e leverassi suso contro alla casa delli pessimi, e contro allo aiuto di quelli che adòperano malvagitade.
3 The Egyptian is human, not divine, his horses are flesh, not spirit; Yahweh wil stretch out his hand: theprotector wil stumble, the protected wil fal and all wil perish together.	3 Egitto sì è uomo, e non è Dio; e li loro cavalli sono carne, e non ispirito; e lo Signore inchinerà la sua mano, e l'aiutatore caderà in terra, [e colui] al quale è dato l'aiuto; e tutti insieme saranno consumati.
4 Yes, this is what Yahweh has said to me: As a lion or lion cub growls over its prey, when scores ofshepherds are summoned to drive it off, without being frightened by their shouting or cowed by the noise theymake, just so will Yahweh Sabaoth descend to fight for Mount Zion and for its hil .	4 Però che questo dice lo Signore a me: come se lo lione ruggisca, e lo figliuolo piccolo dello leone sopra la preda, quando la moltitudine de' pastori gli sarà venuta incontro, non averà egli paura della loro voce, e non temerà egli la loro moltitudine; e così scenderà lo Signore delli esèrciti per combattere [sopra] lo monte di Sion e sopra li suoi colli.
5 Like hovering birds, so wil Yahweh Sabaoth protect Jerusalem; by protecting it, he will save it, bysupporting it, he wil deliver it.	5 Si come li uccelli volanti, così difenderà lo Signore lo esèrcito di Ierusalem, difendente e liberante, passante (le cose) e salvante.
6 Come back to the one whom the Israelites have so deeply betrayed!	6 O figliuoli di Israel, convertitevi, sì come voi eravate andati nello profondo.
7 For, that day, each of you wil throw away the false gods of silver and the false gods of gold which yourown sinful hands have made.	7 Però che in quello dì l' uomo gitterà li idoli del suo argento e del suo oro, i quali idoli colle vostre mani faceste a voi nel peccato.
8 Assyria will fal by the sword, not that of a man, wil be devoured by the sword, of no human being, hewil flee before the sword and his young warriors will be enslaved.	8 E Assur cadrà in coltello non d' uomo; il coltello non d' uomo lo divorerà, e fuggirà non dalla faccia del coltello; e li suoi giovani saranno vettigali.
9 In his terror he wil abandon his rock, and his panic-stricken officers desert the standard -- declaresYahweh, whose fire is in Zion, whose furnace, in Jerusalem.	9 E la sua forza passerà dallo spaventamento, e li suoi principi temeranno fuggendo; disse Iddio, lo cui fuoco è in Sion, e lo suo camino è in Ierusalem.
