Isaiah 25

NEW JERUSALEM	BIBBIA VOLGARE
1 Yahweh, you are my God, I shall praise you to the heights, I shal praise your name; for you haveaccomplished marvels, plans long-conceived, faithful y, firmly.	1 Signore, [tu se'] mio Iddio; io esalterò te, e confesserommi al tuo (santissimo) nome, però che tu facesti maraviglie, e le cogitazioni antiche furono fedeli.
2 For you have made the town a heap of stones, the fortified city a ruin. The foreigners' citadel is a cityno longer, it wil never be rebuilt.	2 Però che ponesti la città in furore, e la terra forte in ruina, e casa di stranieri acciò che non sia città, e non sia edificata in sempiterno.
3 Hence mighty peoples wil honour you, the city of pitiless nations hold you in awe;	3 Sopra questa cosa ti loderà lo popolo forte; la città delle genti robuste temerà te.
4 For you have been a refuge for the weak, a refuge for the needy in distress, a shelter from the storm,shade from the heat; for the breath of the pitiless is like a winter storm.	4 Però che tu sei fatto fortezza al povero e al bisognoso nella sua tribulazione, e speranza nella tempesta, e ombra nella estate; e lo spirito delli robusti è come una tromba spignente la parete.
5 Like heat in a dry land you calm the foreigners' tumult; as heat under the shadow of a cloud, so thesong of the pitiless dies away.	5 Sì come la estate nella sete, così umilierai tu lo tumulto delli stranieri; e come lo caldo corrente sotto lo nuvolo, così farai infracidare le propagini de' forti uomini.
6 On this mountain, for al peoples, Yahweh Sabaoth is preparing a banquet of rich food, a banquet offine wines, of succulent food, of well-strained wines.	6 E farà lo Signore delli esèrciti a tutti li populi in questo monte uno convito di cose grasse, convito di vendemmia, di bestie che erano [di] grasse midolle, della vendemmia senza la bruttura.
7 On this mountain, he has destroyed the veil which used to veil al peoples, the pal enveloping alnations;	7 E traboccherà in questo monte la faccia dello legame legato sopra tutti li popoli, la tela ch' egli ha ordita sopra tutte le nazioni.
8 he has destroyed death for ever. Lord Yahweh has wiped away the tears from every cheek; he hastaken his people's shame away everywhere on earth, for Yahweh has spoken.	8 Traboccherà la morte in sempiterno; e lo Signore Iddio terrà via la lacrima d'ogni faccia; e lo vituperio del popolo suo torrà via dell' universa terra; però che Iddio hae parlato.
9 And on that day, it wil be said, 'Look, this is our God, in him we put our hope that he should save us,this is Yahweh, we put our hope in him. Let us exult and rejoice since he has saved us.'	9 E diranno in quello dì: ecco, questo sì è il nostro Signore; noi aspettammo lui, egli salverà noi; questo è lo Signore, noi sostenemmo lui, e allegraremoci nella sua salute.
10 For Yahweh's hand will rest on this mountain, and Moab wil be trodden under his feet as straw istrodden into the dung-heap.	10 Però che la mano di Dio si riposerà in questo monte; e sarà trito Moab sotto lui, come si trita la paglia.
11 He may stretch his hands wide on the mountain like a swimmer stretching out his hands to swim. Buthe wil humble his pride despite what his hands may attempt.	11 E distenderà la sua mano sotto lui, sì come. fa lo nuotatore quando nuota; e umilierà la gloria sua col percuotimento delle sue mani.
12 And the impregnable fortress of your walls, he has overthrown, laid low, flung to the ground, in thedust.	12 E cadranno l'armadure delli tuoi alti muri, verranno a piano, e saranno menati a terra infino alla polvere.
