1 Proclamation about Moab: Laid waste in a night, Ar-Moab lies silent; Laid waste in a night, Kir-Moablies silent.	1 Пророчество о Моаве. --Так! ночью будет разорен Ар-Моав и уничтожен; так! ночью будет разорен Кир-Моав и уничтожен!
2 The daughter of Dibon has climbed to the high places to weep; on Nebo and in Medeba Moab laments.Every head shaven, every beard cut off,	2 Он восходит к Баиту и Дивону, восходит на высоты, чтобы плакать; Моав рыдает над Нево и Медевою; у всех их острижены головы, у всех обриты бороды.
3 they wear sackcloth in their streets; on their roofs and in their squares, everyone is lamenting andcol apsing in tears.	3 На улицах его препоясываются вретищем; на кровлях его и площадях его всё рыдает, утопает в слезах.
4 Heshbon and Elealeh are crying out in distress, their voices can be heard as far as Jahaz. That is whythe warriors of Moab are shivering, his soul trembles at the sound.	4 И вопит Есевон и Елеала; голос их слышится до самой Иаацы; за ними и воины Моава рыдают; душа его возмущена в нем.
5 His heart cries out in distress for Moab, whose fugitives are already at Zoar, nearly at Eglath-Shelishiyah. They climb the slope of Luhith, weeping as they go; on the road to Horonaim they utter heart-rending cries.	5 Рыдает сердце мое о Моаве; бегут из него к Сигору, до третьей Эглы; восходят на Лухит с плачем; по дороге Хоронаимской поднимают страшный крик;
6 The Waters of Nimrim have become a waste land, the grass dried up, the plants withered away,nothing green any more.	6 потому что воды Нимрима иссякли, луга засохли, трава выгорела, не стало зелени.
7 That is why they are carrying what they could save of their stores across the Ravine of the Wil ows.	7 Поэтому они остатки стяжания и, что сбережено ими, переносят за реку Аравийскую.
8 For the cry for help re-echoes round the territory of Moab; their wailing, right to Eglaim, to Beer-Elim,their wailing;	8 Ибо вопль по всем пределам Моава, до Эглаима плач его и до Беэр-Елима плач его;
9 Dimon's waters are swol en with blood, and I have worse in store for Dimon: a lion for those of Moabwho survive, for those left on its soil.	9 потому что воды Димона наполнились кровью, и Я наведу на Димон еще новое--львов на убежавших из Моава и на оставшихся в стране.
