2 In the day of my distress I sought the Lord; al night I tirelessly stretched out my hands, my heartrefused to be consoled.	2 Głos mój się wznosi do Boga i wołam, głos mój - do Boga, by mnie usłyszał.
3 I sigh as I think of God, my spirit faints away as I ponder on him. Pause	3 Szukam Pana w dzień mojej niedoli. Moja ręka w nocy niestrudzenie się wyciąga, moja dusza odmawia przyjęcia pociechy.
4 You kept me from closing my eyes, I was too distraught to speak;	4 Jęczę, gdy wspomnę na Boga, duch mój słabnie, kiedy rozmyślam.
5 I thought of former times, years long past	5 Ty zatrzymujesz powieki mych oczu: jestem wzburzony i mówić nie mogę.
6 I recalled; through the night I ponder in my heart, as I reflect, my spirit asks this question:	6 Rozważam dni starodawne i lata poprzednie
7 Is the Lord's rejection final? Will he never show favour again?	7 wspominam. Rozmyślam nocą w sercu, roztrząsam i duch mój docieka:
8 Is his faithful love gone for ever? Has his Word come to an end for al time?	8 Czy Bóg odrzuca na wieki, że już nie jest łaskawy?
9 Does God forget to show mercy? In anger does he shut off his tenderness?Pause	9 Czy Jego łaskawość ustała na zawsze, a słowo umilkło na pokolenia?
10 And I said, 'This is what wounds me, the right hand of the Most High has lost its strength.'	10 Czy Bóg zapomniał o litości, czy w gniewie powstrzymał swoje miłosierdzie?
11 Remembering Yahweh's great deeds, remembering your wonders in the past,	11 I mówię: To dla mnie bolesne, że się odwróciła prawica Najwyższego.
12 I reflect on al that you did, I ponder all your great deeds.	12 Wspominam dzieła Pana, zaiste wspominam Twoje dawne cuda.
13 God, your ways are holy! What god is as great as our God?	13 Rozmyślam o wszystkich Twych dziełach i czyny Twoje rozważam.
14 You are the God who does marvel ous deeds, brought nations to acknowledge your power,	14 Boże, Twoja droga jest święta: który bóg dorówna wielkością naszemu Bogu?
15 with your own arm redeeming your people, the children of Jacob and Joseph.Pause	15 Ty jesteś Bogiem działającym cuda, objawiłeś ludom swą potęgę.
16 When the waters saw you, God, when the waters saw you they writhed in anguish, the very depthsshook with fear.	16 Ramieniem swoim lud Twój wybawiłeś, synów Jakuba i Józefa.
17 The clouds pelted down water, the sky thundered, your arrows shot back and forth.	17 Boże, ujrzały Cię wody, ujrzały Cię wody: zadrżały i odmęty się poruszyły.
18 The rol ing of your thunder was heard, your lightning-flashes lit up the world, the earth shuddered andshook.	18 Chmury wylały wody, wydały głos chmury i poleciały Twoje strzały.

20 You guided your people like a flock by the hand of Moses and Aaron.	20 Twoja droga wiodła przez wody, Twoja ścieżka przez wody rozległe i nie znać było Twych śladów.
	21 Wiodłeś Twój lud jak trzodę ręką Mojżesza i Aarona.
