1 Shout for joy, you upright; praise comes wel from the honest.	1 Salmo di David, quando mutò il suo volto dinanzi Achimelec, il qual lasciollo, e partissi.
2 Give thanks to Yahweh on the lyre, play for him on the ten-stringed lyre.	2 In ogni tempo benedicerò il Signore; sempre sarà nella mia bocca la sua laude.
3 Sing to him a new song, make sweet music for your cry of victory.	3 Nel Signore sarà laudata l'anima mia; odano i mansueti, e rallegrinsi.
4 The word of Yahweh is straightforward, al he does springs from his constancy.	4 Magnificate il Signore meco; ed esaltiamo il. suo nome in uno.
5 He loves uprightness and justice; the faithful love of Yahweh fil s the earth.	5 Ho richiesto il Signore, e hammi esaudito, e liberato di tutte le mie tribulazioni.
6 By the word of Yahweh the heavens were made, by the breath of his mouth all their array.	6 Andate a lui, e illuminatevi; e le vostre faccie non siano confuse.
7 He collects the waters of the sea like a dam, he stores away the abyss in his treasure-house.	7 Questo povero gridò, ed esaudillo il Signore; e salvollo di tutte le sue tribulazioni.
8 Let the whole earth fear Yahweh, let al who dwel in the world revere him;	8 L'angelo del Signore è dintorno a quelli che il temono; e libereralli.
9 for, the moment he spoke, it was so, no sooner had he commanded, than there it stood!	9 Gustate, e vedete, però che il Signore è soave; beato l'uomo che in lui spera!
10 Yahweh thwarts the plans of nations, frustrates the counsels of peoples;	10 Temete il Signore, voi tutti suoi santi; per che a quelli che il temono non è miseria.
11 but Yahweh's own plan stands firm for ever, his heart's counsel from age to age.	11 Li ricchi sono stati bisognosi e affamati; ma alli cercanti il Signore non si sminuirà ogni bene.
12 How blessed the nation whose God is Yahweh, the people he has chosen as his heritage.	12 Venite, figliuoli, uditemi; insegnerovvi il timore del Signore.
13 From heaven Yahweh looks down, he sees al the children of Adam,	13 È alcuno uomo, che vuole la vita, ama vedere i buoni dì?
14 from the place where he sits he watches al who dwel on the earth;	14 Vieta la tua lingua dal male, e le tue labbra perchè non parlino inganno.
15 he alone moulds their hearts, he understands al they do.	15 Ritraiti dal male, e fa bene; cerca la pace, e sèguita quella.
16 A large army wil not keep a king safe, nor his strength save a warrior's life;	16 Gli occhi del Signore stanno sopra i giusti; e le sue orecchie a loro preghiere.
17 it is delusion to rely on a horse for safety, for all its power it cannot save.	17 Ma il volto del Signore è sopra i malfacenti, per perdere loro memoria dalla terra.
18 But see how Yahweh watches over those who fear him, those who rely on his faithful love,	18 Gridorono i giusti, e il Signore li esauditte; e liberolli dalle loro tribulazioni.
19 to rescue them from death and keep them alive in famine.	19 Appresso è il Signore a quelli che sono col tribulato cuore; e li umili di spirito salvarà.
20 We are waiting for Yahweh; he is our help and our shield,	20 Molte sono le tribulazioni de' giusti; e da tutte queste libereralli il Signore.
21 for in him our heart rejoices, in his holy name we trust.	21 Il Signore guarda tutte loro ossa; una di quelle non si romperà.
22 Yahweh, let your faithful love rest on us, as our hope has rested in you.	22 Pessima è la morte de' peccatori; e quelli che hanno avuto in odio il giusto, peccheranno.
	23 Ricomprerà il Signore l' animé de' servi suoi; e non abbandonerà coloro che in lui sperano.
