1 These are the descendants of Noah's sons, Shem, Ham and Japheth, to whom sons were born afterthe flood:	1 Ma Sem, Cam e Iafet sono la generazione di Noè: dopo il diluvio nati sono a loro molti figliuoli.
2 Japheth's sons: Gomer, Magog, the Medes, Javan, Tubal, Meshech, Tiras.	2 I figliuoli di Jafet nacquero questi: Gomer, Magog, Madai, lavan e Tubal e Mosoc e Tiras.
3 Gomer's sons: Ashkenaz, Riphath, Togarmah.	3 Ma i figliuoli di Gomer sono questi; Ascenez e Rifat e Togorma.
4 Javan's sons: Elishah, Tarshish, the Kittim, the Dananites.	4 Ma i figliuoli di laran sono questi: Elisa e Tarsis, Cettim e Dodanim.
5 From these came the dispersal to the islands of the nations. These were Japheth's sons, in theirrespective countries, each with its own language, by clan and nation.	5 E da costoro si cominciò a dividere l'insule delle genti, ciascuna per sua regione, ciascuno secondo la lingua sua e le famiglie nelle nazioni loro.
6 Ham's sons: Cush, Mizraim, Put, Canaan.	6 I figliuoli di Cam sono questi, cioè: Cus, Mes raim e Fut e Canaan.
7 Cush's sons: Seba, Havilah, Sabtah, Raamah, Sabteca. Raamah's sons: Sheba, Dedan.	7 I figliuoli di Cus sono questi, cioè: Saba, Evila e Sabata e Regma e Sabataca. I figliuoli di Regma sono questi, cioè: Saba e Dadan.
8 Cush fathered Nimrod who was the first potentate on earth.	8 Ma alla fine Cus generoe Nemrot; questi in cominciò essere potente nella terra.
9 He was a mighty hunter in the eyes of Yahweh, hence the saying, 'Like Nimrod, a mighty hunter in theeyes of Yahweh'.	9 E sì era molto robusto cacciatore innanzi al Signore. E da costui uscì in proverbio: questi è quasi Nemrot, robusto cacciatore innanzi al Signore.
10 The mainstays of his empire were Babel, Erech and Accad, all of them in the land of Shinar.	10 E fue certo il principio dello regno suo Ba bilon e Arac e Acad e Calanne nella terra di Sen naar.
11 From this country came Asshur, and he built Nineveh, Rehoboth-Ir, Calah,	11 Della quale terra uscito n'è Assur, il quale edificoe Ninive e le piazze della cittade, e Cale.
12 and Resen between Nineveh and Calah (this being the capital).	12 Resen etiam edificò fra Ninive e Cale; e questa è cittade grande.
13 Mizraim fathered the people of Lud, of Anam, Lehab, Naphtuh,	13 Mesraim generoe Ludim e Ananim e Laa bim e Neftuim,

15 Canaan fathered Sidon, his first-born, then Heth,	15 Ma Canaan generoe Sidone, suo primogenito, il popolo Eteo,
16 and the Jebusites, the Amorites, Girgashites,	16 e Jebuseo, Amorreo e Gergeseo,
17 Hivites, Arkites, Sinites,	17 Eveo e Aracheo, Sineo,
18 Arvadites, Zemarites and Hamathites. Later, the Canaanite clans spread out.	18 ed Aradeo, Samareo ed Amateo. E per costoro disseminati sono li popoli de' Cananei.
19 The Canaanite frontier stretched from Sidon al the way to Gerar near Gaza, and al the way toSodom, Gomorrah, Admah and Zeboi m near Lesha.	19 E fatti sono i termini [di] Canaan, vegnendo da Sidone Gerara insino a Gaza, tanto che entri in Sodoma e Gomorra, e Adamam e Seboim insino a Lesa.
20 These were Ham's sons, by clans and languages, by countries and nations.	20 Questi sono figliuoli di Cam, ne'descendenti, lingue e generazioni e terre e genti loro.
21 Shem too fathered sons, being ancestor of all the sons of Eber and Japheth's elder brother.	21 Ma di Sem nacquero i padri di tutti i figliuoli di Eber.
22 Shem's sons: Elam, Asshur, Arpachshad, Lud, Aram.	22 I figliuoli di Sem sono: Aclam ed Assur ed Arfasat e Lud ed Aram.

26 Joktan fathered Almodad, Sheleph, Hazarmaveth, Jerah,	26 Il quale lectan generoe Elmoda e Salef ed Asarmot, Iare,
27 Hadoram, Uzal, Diklah,	27 e Aduram, Uzal, Decla,
28 Obal, Abima-El, Sheba,	28 Ebal e Abimael, Saba,
29 Ophir, Havilah, Jobab; al these were sons of Joktan.	29 e Ofir, Evila e Jobab. Tutti questi figliuoli di Iectan.
30 They occupied a stretch of country from Mesha all the way to Sephar, the eastern mountain range.	30 Ed abitarono, per loro abitazione, da Messa insino a Sefar, monte orientale.
31 These were Shem's sons, by clans and languages, by countries and nations.	31 Questi sono figliuoli di Sem, secondo i di scendenti e lingue e regioni delle genti che di loro nacquero.
32 Such were the clans of Noah's descendants, listed by descent and nation. From them, other nationsbranched out on earth after the flood.	32 Queste sono le famiglie di Noe, appresso i popoli e nazioni suoi. E da costoro divise sono le genti in terra dopo il diluvio.
