1 Whoever might vainly hope to do so need only see him to be overthrown.	1 أتصطاد لوياثان بشص او تضغط لسانه بحبل.
2 Is he not relentless when aroused; who then dares stand before him?	2 أتضع أسلة في خطمه ام تثقب فكّه بخزامة.
3 Who has assailed him and come off safe-- Who under all the heavens?	3 أيكثر التضرعات اليك ام يتكلم معك باللين.
4 I need hardly mention his limbs, his strength, and the fitness of his armor.	4 هل يقطع معك عهدا فتتخذه عبدا مؤبدا.
5 Who can strip off his outer garment, or penetrate his double corselet?	5 أتلعب معه كالعصفور او تربطه لاجل فتياتك.
6 Who can force open the doors of his mouth, close to his terrible teeth?	6 هل تحفر جماعة الصيادين لاجله حفرة او يقسمونه بين الكنعانيين.
7 Rows of scales are on his back, tightly sealed together;	7 أتملأ جلده حرابا وراسه بإلال السمك.
8 They are fitted each so close to the next that no space intervenes;	8 ضع يدك عليه. لا تعد تذكر القتال.
9 So joined one to another that they hold fast and cannot be parted.	9 هوذا الرجاء به كاذب. ألا يكبّ ايضا برؤيته.
10 When he sneezes, light flashes forth; his eyes are like those of the dawn.	10 ليس من شجاع يوقظه فمن يقف اذا بوجهي.
11 Out of his mouth go forth firebrands; sparks of fire leap forth.	11 من تقدمني فاوفيه. ما تحت كل السموات هو لي
12 From his nostrils issues steam, as from a seething pot or bowl.	12 لا اسكت عن اعضائه وخبر قوته وبهجة عدّته.
13 His breath sets coals afire; a flame pours from his mouth.	13 من يكشف وجه لبسه ومن يدنو من مثنى لجمته.
14 Strength abides in his neck, and terror leaps before him.	14 من يفتح مصراعي فمه. دائرة اسنانه مرعبة.
	15 فخره مجان مانعة محكّمة مضغوطة بخاتم
16 His heart is hard as stone; his flesh, as the lower millstone.	16 الواحد يمسّ الآخر فالريح لا تدخل بينها.
17 When he rises up, the mighty are afraid; the waves of the sea fall back.	17 كل منها ملتصق بصاحبه متلكّدة لا تنفصل.
18 Should the sword reach him, it will not avail; nor will the spear, nor the dart, nor the javelin.	18 عطاسه يبعث نورا وعيناه كهدب الصبح.
19 He regards iron as straw, and bronze as rotten wood.	19 من فيه تخرج مصابيح. شرار نار تتطاير منه.
20 The arrow will not put him to flight; slingstones used against him are but straws.	20 من منخريه يخرج دخان كانه من قدر منفوخ او من مرجل.
21 Clubs he esteems as splinters; he laughs at the crash of the spear.	21 نفسه يشعل جمرا ولهيب يخرج من فيه.
22 His belly is sharp as pottery fragments; he spreads like a threshing sledge upon the mire.	22 في عنقه تبيت القوة وامامه يدوس الهول.
23 He makes the depths boil like a pot; the sea he churns like perfume in a kettle.	23 مطاوي لحمه متلاصقة مسبوكة عليه لا تتحرك.
24 Behind him he leaves a shining path; you would think the deep had the hoary head of age.	24 قلبه صلب كالحجر وقاس كالرحى.
25 Upon the earth there is not his like, intrepid he was made.	25 عند نهوضه تفزع الاقوياء. من المخاوف يتيهون
26 All, however lofty, fear him; he is king over all proud beasts.	26 سيف الذي يلحقه لا يقوم ولا رمح ولا مزراق ولا درع.
	27 يحسب الحديد كالتبن والنحاس كالعود النخر.
	28 لا يستفزّه نبل القوس. حجارة المقلاع ترجع عنه كالقش.
	29 يحسب المقمعة كقش ويضحك على اهتزاز الرمح.
	30 تحته قطع خزف حادة. يمدد نورجا على الطين.
	31 يجعل العمق يغلي كالقدر ويجعل البحر كقدر عطارة.
	32 يضيء السبيل وراءه فيحسب اللج اشيب.
	33 ليس له في الارض نظير. صنع لعدم الخوف.
	34 يشرف على كل متعال. هو ملك على كل بني الكبرياء
