Jeremiás könyve 13

KÁLDI-NEOVULGÁTA	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Így szólt hozzám az Úr: »Menj, vásárolj magadnak egy lenövet, és tedd a derekadra, de vízbe ne rakd!«	1 Yahweh said this to me, 'Go and buy a linen waistcloth and put it round your waist. But do not dip it inwater.'
2 Megvásároltam az övet az Úr igéje szerint, és a derekamra tettem.	2 And so, as Yahweh had ordered, I bought a waistcloth and put it round my waist.
3 Akkor másodszor is hangzott az Úr igéje hozzám:	3 A second time the word of Yahweh came to me,
4 »Vedd az övet, melyet vásároltál, és a derekadon van! Kelj fel, menj az Eufráteszhez, és rejtsd el ott a sziklahasadékban!«	4 'Take the waistcloth that you have bought and are wearing round your waist. Up, go to the Euphratesand hide it there in a hole in the rock.'
5 Erre elmentem, és elrejtettem az Eufrátesznél, amint az Úr megparancsolta nekem.	5 So I went and hid it by the Euphrates as Yahweh had ordered me.
6 Történt pedig sok nap múltán, hogy az Úr ezt mondta nekem: »Kelj fel, menj az Eufráteszhez, és vedd el onnan az övet, melyről megparancsoltam neked, hogy rejtsd el ott!«	6 A long time later, Yahweh said to me, 'Up, go to the Euphrates and fetch the waistcloth I ordered you tohide there.'
7 Erre elmentem az Eufráteszhez, kiástam és elvettem az övet arról a helyről, ahova elrejtettem; de íme, az öv tönkrement, és semmire sem volt használható.	7 So I went to the Euphrates, and I searched, and I took the waistcloth from the place where I had hiddenit. And there was the waistcloth ruined, no use for anything.
8 Akkor hangzott az Úr igéje hozzám:	8 Then the word of Yahweh was addressed to me as follows,
9 »Így szól az Úr: Így fogom tönkretenni Júda büszkeségét és Jeruzsálem nagy büszkeségét.	9 'Yahweh says this, "In the same way I shal ruin the pride of Judah, the immense pride of Jerusalem.
10 Ez a gonosz nép, amely vonakodik meghallgatni igéimet, szíve megátalkodottsága szerint jár, és más istenek után megy, hogy azoknak szolgáljon, és előttük boruljon le, olyan lesz, mint ez az öv, mely semmire sem használható.	10 This evil people, these people who refuse to listen to my words, who fol ow their own stubborninclinations and run after other gods, serving and worshipping them -- this people wil become like this waistcloth,no good for anything.
11 Mert ahogy az öv az ember derekához tapad, úgy tapasztottam magamhoz Izrael egész házát és Júda egész házát – mondja az Úr –, hogy az én népem legyenek, hírnevem, dicsőségem és ékességem; – de nem hallgattak rám.	11 For just as a waistcloth clings to a man's waist, so I made the whole House of Israel and the wholeHouse of Judah cling to me, Yahweh declares, to be my people, my glory, my honour and my pride. But theyhave not listened."
12 Mondd azért nekik ezt az igét: Így szól az Úr, Izrael Istene: Minden korsó megtelik borral. Erre majd azt mondják neked: ‘Vajon nem tudjuk-e jól, hogy minden korsó megtelik borral?’	12 'You wil also say this to them, "Yahweh, God of Israel, says this: Any jug can be fil ed with wine." And if they answer you, "Do you think we do not know that any jug can be fil ed with wine?"
13 Akkor mondd nekik: Így szól az Úr: Íme, én megtöltöm ennek az országnak minden lakóját, a Dávid trónján ülő királyokat, a papokat, a prófétákat és Jeruzsálem minden lakóját részegséggel.	13 you are to say, "Yahweh says this: Look, I shal fil al the inhabitants of this country, the kings whooccupy the throne of David, the priests, the prophets and al the citizens of Jerusalem, with drunkenness.
14 És odacsapom őket, egyiket a másikhoz, apákat és fiakat együtt – mondja az Úr. – Nem szánakozom, nem könyörülök és nem irgalmazok: elpusztítom őket.«	14 Then I shal smash them one against the other, parents and children al together, Yahweh declares.Mercilessly, relentlessly, pitilessly, I shal destroy them." '
15 Halljátok és fogjátok fel fületekkel: ne legyetek kevélyek, mert az Úr szólt!	15 Listen and pay attention, do not be proud: Yahweh is speaking!
16 Adjatok az Úrnak, a ti Istenetek dicsőséget, mielőtt besötétedne, és mielőtt megbotlana lábatok a homályos hegyeken! Világosságra vártok, de ő halál árnyékává teszi azt, sötét felhővé változtatja.	16 Give glory to Yahweh your God before the darkness comes, before your feet stumble on the darkenedmountains. You hope for light, but he wil turn it to shadow dark as death, wil change it to blackness.

Vajon nem fognak el fájdalmak téged, mint a szülő asszonyt?	21 What wil you say when they come and punish you, you yourself having taught them? Against you, inthe lead, wil come your friends. Then will not anguish grip you as it grips a woman in labour?

25 Ez a te sorsod és kimért részed tőlem – mondja az Úr –, mert megfeledkeztél rólam, és a hazugságban bíztál.	25 This is your share, the part allotted you, from me, Yahweh declares, because you have forgotten meand put your trust in Delusion.

27 házasságtöréseid és nyihogásaid, paráznaságod gaztette. A magaslatokon, a mezőn láttam undokságaidat. Jaj neked, Jeruzsálem, nem tudsz megtisztulni! Meddig tart ez még?«	27 Oh! Your adulteries, your shrieks of pleasure, your vile prostitution! On the hills, in the fields, I haveseen your Horrors. Jerusalem, disaster is coming for you! How much longer till you are made clean?'
