KÁLDI-NEOVULGÁTA	NEW JERUSALEM
1 A bölcsesség házat épített magának, kifaragta hét oszlopát,	1 Wisdom has built herself a house, she has hewn her seven pil ars,
2 leölte áldozatait, elegyítette borát, meg is terítette asztalát.	2 she has slaughtered her beasts, drawn her wine, she has laid her table.
3 Elküldte szolgálóit, hogy kiáltsák a várban és a város falain:	3 She has despatched her maidservants and proclaimed from the heights above the city,
4 »Aki tudatlan, jöjjön hozzám!« S a dőréknek üzente:	4 'Who is simple? Let him come this way.' To the fool she says,
5 »Jöjjetek, egyétek étkemet, és igyatok a borból, amelyet nektek elegyítettem!	5 'Come and eat my bread, drink the wine which I have drawn!
6 Hagyjatok fel az együgyűséggel, hogy élhessetek, és járjatok a belátás útjain!«	6 Leave foolishness behind and you wil live, go forwards in the ways of perception.'
7 Aki arcátlant dorgál, szidalmat szerez magának, aki gonoszt korhol, szégyenfoltot hoz magára.	7 Reprove a mocker and you attract contempt, rebuke the wicked and you attract dishonour.
8 Ne fedd meg az arcátlant, hogy meg ne gyűlöljön! Fedd meg a bölcset, és megkedvel téged.	8 Do not rebuke the mocker, he wil hate you. Rebuke the wise and he wil love you for it.
9 Adj a bölcsnek alkalmat, és bölcsességben gyarapszik, tanítsd az igazat, és sietve elfogadja!	9 Be open with the wise, he grows wiser stil , teach the upright, he wil gain yet more.
10 A bölcsesség kezdete az Úr félelme, s a Szentnek ismerete okosság,	10 The first principle of wisdom is the fear of Yahweh, What God's holy ones know -- this isunderstanding.
11 mert általam sokasodnak napjaid, és lesz még több életéved.	11 For by me your days wil be multiplied, and your years of life increased.
12 Ha bölcs vagy, a magad javára vagy az, ha arcátlan vagy, magad vallod kárát!	12 Are you wise? You are wise to your own good. A mocker? The burden is yours alone.
13 Dőreség-asszony lármás, csupa csábítás és egyebet sem tud.	13 A silly woman acts on impulse, is foolish and knows nothing.
14 Leül háza kapujába, egy székre a város magas helyén,	14 She sits at the door of her house, on a throne high up in the city,
15 hogy hívja az arra menőket, akik az útjukon járnak:	15 cal ing to the passers-by, who are walking straight past on their way,
16 »Aki tudatlan, jöjjön hozzám!« S a dőréknek ezt üzeni:	16 'Who is simple? Turn aside, come over here.' To the fool she says,
17 »A lopott víz édesebb, s a titkon élvezett kenyér ízletesebb!«	17 'Stolen waters are sweet, and bread tastes better when eaten in secret.'
18 És nem tudják, hogy ott a megholtak árnyai vannak, s az ő vendégei az alvilág mélyén laknak!	18 But the fool does not know that this is where the Shades are and that her guests are already in thevales of Sheol.
