Psalms 97

DOUAI-RHEIMS	SAGRADA BIBLIA
1 For the same David, when his land was restored again to him. The Lord hath reigned, let the earth rejoice: let many islands be glad.	1 O Senhor reina! Que a terra exulte de alegria, que se rejubile a multidão das ilhas.
2 Clouds and darkness are round about him: justice and judgment are the establishment of his throne.	2 Está envolvido em escura nuvem, seu trono tem por fundamento a justiça e o direito.
3 A fire shall go before him, and shall burn his enemies round about.	3 Ele é precedido por um fogo que devora em redor os inimigos.
4 His lightnings have shone forth to the world: the earth saw and trembled.	4 Seus relâmpagos iluminam o mundo, a terra estremece ao vê-los.
5 The mountains melted like wax, at the presence of the Lord: at the presence of the Lord of all the earth.	5 Na presença do Senhor, fundem-se as montanhas como a cera, em presença do Senhor de toda a terra.
6 The heavens declared his justice: and all people saw his glory.	6 Os céus anunciam a sua justiça e todos os povos contemplam a sua glória.
7 Let them be all confounded that adore graven things, and that glory in their idols. Adore him, all you his angels:	7 São confundidos os que adoram estátuas e se gloriam em seus ídolos; pois os deuses se prostram diante do Senhor.
8 Sion heard, and was glad. And the daughters of Juda rejoiced, because of thy judgments, O Lord.	8 Ouve e se alegra Sião, exultam as cidades de Judá por causa de vossos juízos, Senhor.
9 For thou art the most high Lord over all the earth: thou art exalted exceedingly above all gods.	9 Porque vós, Senhor, sois o soberano de toda a terra, vós sois o Altíssimo entre todos os deuses.
10 You that love the Lord, hate evil: the Lord preserveth the souls of his saints, he will deliver them out of the hand of the sinner.	10 O Senhor ama os que detestam o mal, ele vela pelas almas de seus servos e os livra das mãos dos ímpios.
11 Light is risen to the just, and joy to the right of heart.	11 A luz resplandece para o justo, e a alegria é concedida ao homem de coração reto.
12 Rejoice, ye just, in the Lord: and give praise to the remembrance of his holiness.	12 Alegrai-vos, ó justo, no Senhor, e dai glória ao seu santo nome.
