Lettera ai Colossesi 4

1 Signori, fate ciò che è giusto, e ragionevole inverso i servi, sapendo che ancora voi avete un Signore ne’ cieli	1 Masters, treat your slaves justly and fairly, realizing that you too have a Master in heaven.
2 PERSEVERATE nell’orazione, vegliando in essa con ringraziamento.	2 Persevere in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving;
3 Pregando insieme ancora per noi, acciocchè Iddio apra eziandio a noi la porta della parola, per annunziare il misterio di Cristo, per lo quale anche sono prigione;	3 at the same time, pray for us, too, that God may open a door to us for the word, to speak of the mystery of Christ, for which I am in prison,
4 acciocchè io lo manifesti, come mi convien parlare	4 that I may make it clear, as I must speak.
5 Procedete con sapienza inverso quei di fuori; ricomperando il tempo.	5 Conduct yourselves wisely toward outsiders, making the most of the opportunity.
6 Il vostro parlare sia sempre con grazia, condito con sale; per sapere come vi si convien rispondere a ciascuno	6 Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you know how you should respond to each one.
7 TICHICO, il caro fratello, e fedel ministro, e mio conservo nel Signore, vi farà assapere tutto lo stato mio.	7 Tychicus, my beloved brother, trustworthy minister, and fellow slave in the Lord, will tell you all the news of me.
8 Il quale io ho mandato a voi a questo stesso fine, acciocchè sappia lo stato vostro, e consoli i cuori vostri,	8 I am sending him to you for this very purpose, so that you may know about us and that he may encourage your hearts,
9 insieme col fedele, e caro fratello Onesimo, il quale è de’ vostri; essi vi faranno assaper tutte le cose di qua.	9 together with Onesimus, a trustworthy and beloved brother, who is one of you. They will tell you about everything here.
10 Aristarco, prigione meco, vi saluta; così ancora Marco, il cugino di Barnaba; intorno al quale avete ricevuto ordine; se viene a voi, accoglietelo.	10 Aristarchus, my fellow prisoner, sends you greetings, as does Mark the cousin of Barnabas (concerning whom you have received instructions; if he comes to you, receive him),
11 E Gesù, detto Giusto, i quali son della circoncisione; questi soli son gli operai nell’opera del regno di Dio, i quali mi sono stati di conforto.	11 and Jesus, who is called Justus, who are of the circumcision; these alone are my co-workers for the kingdom of God, and they have been a comfort to me.
12 Epafra, che è de’ vostri, servo di Cristo, vi saluta; combattendo sempre per voi nelle orazioni, acciocchè stiate fermi, perfetti, e compiuti in tutta la volontà di Dio.	12 Epaphras sends you greetings; he is one of you, a slave of Christ (Jesus), always striving for you in his prayers so that you may be perfect and fully assured in all the will of God.
13 Perciocchè io gli rendo testimonianza, ch’egli ha un gran zelo per voi, e per quelli che sono in Laodicea, e per quelli che sono in Ierapoli.	13 For I can testify that he works very hard for you and for those in Laodicea and those in Hierapolis.
14 Il diletto Luca, il medico, e Dema, vi salutano.	14 Luke the beloved physician sends greetings, as does Demas.
15 Salutate i fratelli che sono in Laodicea, e Ninfa, e la chiesa che è in casa sua.	15 Give greetings to the brothers in Laodicea and to Nympha and to the church in her house.
16 E quando quest’epistola sarà stata letta fra voi, fate che sia ancor letta nella chiesa de’ Laodicesi; e che ancora voi leggiate quella che vi sarà mandata da Laodicea.	16 And when this letter is read before you, have it read also in the church of the Laodiceans, and you yourselves read the one from Laodicea.
17 E dite ad Archippo: Guarda al ministerio che tu hai ricevuto nel Signore, acciocchè tu l’adempia.	17 And tell Archippus, "See that you fulfill the ministry that you received in the Lord."
