Salmos 94

EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS	NEW JERUSALEM
1 ¡Dios vengador de las injusticias, Señor, Dios justiciero, manifiéstate!	1 God of vengeance, Yahweh, God of vengeance, shine forth!
2 ¡Levántate, Juez de la tierra, dales su merecido a los soberbios!	2 Arise, judge of the world, give back the proud what they deserve!
3 ¿Hasta cuándo triunfarán, Señor, hasta cuando triunfarán los malvados?	3 How long are the wicked, Yahweh, how long are the wicked to triumph?
4 ¿Hasta cuando hablarán con arrogancia y se jactarán los malhechores?	4 They bluster and boast, they flaunt themselves, all the evil-doers.
5 Ellos pisotean a tu pueblo, Señor, y oprimen a tu herencia;	5 They crush your people, Yahweh, they oppress your heritage,
6 matan a la viuda y al extranjero, asesinan a los huérfanos;	6 they murder the widow and the stranger, bring the orphan to a violent death.
7 y exclaman: «El Señor no lo ve, no se da cuenta el Dios de Jacob».	7 They say, 'Yahweh is not looking, the God of Jacob is taking no notice.'
8 ¡Entiendan, los más necios del pueblo! y ustedes, insensatos, ¿cuándo recapacitarán?	8 Take notice yourselves, you coarsest of people! Fools, when wil you learn some sense?
9 El que hizo el oído, ¿no va a escuchar? El que formó los ojos, ¿no va a ver?	9 Shal he who implanted the ear not hear, he who fashioned the eye not see?
10 ¿Dejará de castigar el que educa a las naciones y da a los hombres el conocimiento?	10 Shal he who instructs nations not punish? Yahweh, the teacher of al people,
11 ¡El Señor conoce los planes de los hombres y sabe muy bien que son vanos!	11 knows human plans and how insipid they are.
12 Feliz el que es educado por ti, Señor, aquel a quien instruyes con tu ley,	12 How blessed are those you instruct, Yahweh, whom you teach by means of your law,
13 para darle un descanso después de la adversidad, mientras se cava una fosa para el malvado.	13 to give them respite in evil times, til a pit is dug for the wicked.
14 Porque el Señor no abandona a su pueblo ni deja desamparada a su herencia:	14 Yahweh will not abandon his people, he wil not desert his heritage;
15 la justicia volverá a los tribunales y los rectos de corazón la seguirán.	15 for judgement will again become saving justice, and in its wake al upright hearts will fol ow.
16 ¿Quién se pondrá a mi favor contra los impíos? ¿Quién estará a mi lado contra los malhechores?	16 Who rises up on my side against the wicked? Who stands firm on my side against al evil-doers?
17 Si el Señor no me hubiera ayudado, ya estaría habitando en la región del silencio.	17 If Yahweh did not come to my help, I should soon find myself dwel ing in the silence.
18 Cuando pienso que voy a resbalar, tu misericordia, Señor, me sostiene;	18 I need only say, 'I am slipping,' for your faithful love, Yahweh, to support me;
19 cuando estoy cargado de preocupaciones, tus consuelos me llenan de alegría.	19 however great the anxiety of my heart, your consolations soothe me.
20 ¿Podrá aliarse contigo un tribunal inicuo, que comete injusticias en nombre de la ley?	20 Are you partner to a destructive court, that gives disorder the status of law?
21 Ellos atentan contra la vida de los justos y condenan a muerte al inocente.	21 They make an attack on the life of the upright, and condemn innocent blood.
22 Pero el Señor es mi fortaleza, mi Dios es la Roca en que me refugio:	22 No! Yahweh is a stronghold to me, my God is my rock of refuge.
23 él les devolverá a su misma iniquidad y los destruirá por su malicia, ¡El Señor, nuestro Dios, los destruirá!	23 He turns back their guilt on themselves, annihilates them for their wickedness, he annihilates them,Yahweh our God.
