1 Zborovođi. Psalam. Davidov.	1 [For the choirmaster Psalm Of David] Rescue me, Yahweh, from evil men, protect me from violentmen,
2 Izbavi me, Jahve, od čovjeka zlobna, zaštiti me od čovjeka nasilna:	2 whose heart is bent on malice, day after day they harbour strife;
3 od onih koji pakosti u srcu smišljaju i čitav dan začinju kavge.	3 their tongues as barbed as a serpent's, viper's venom behind their lips.Pause
4 Kao zmije bruse jezike svoje, pod usnama im je otrov ljutičin.	4 Keep me, Yahweh, from the clutches of the wicked, protect me from violent men, who are bent onmaking me stumble,laying out snares where I walk,
5 Spasi me, Jahve, od ruku zlotvora, čuvaj me od čovjeka nasilna koji hoće da mi noga posrne.	5 in their arrogance hiding pitfal and nooseto trap me as I pass.Pause
6 Oholice mi potajno postavljaju zamku, užetima mrežu pletu, kraj puta klopke mi stavljaju.	6 I said to Yahweh, 'You are my God.' Listen, Yahweh, to the sound of my prayer.
7 Zavapih Jahvi: »Ti si Bog moj! Poslušaj, o Jahve, krik mojih molitava!	7 Yahweh my Lord, my saving strength, you shield my head when battle comes.
8 Jahve, Gospode moj, spasitelju silni moj, u dan boja zakloni mi glavu!«	8 Yahweh, do not grant the wicked their wishes, do not let their plots succeed.Pause Do not let myattackers
9 Ne daj da se ispune želje zlotvora, ne daj da svoje on izvrši namjere!	9 prevail, but let them be overwhelmed by their own malice.
10 Nek’ glavu ne podignu oni koji me opkoliše, nek’ na njih padne zloba njihovih usana!	10 May red-hot embers rain down on them, may they be flung into the mire once and for all.
11 Nek’ daždi po njima ugljevlje ognjeno, nek’ se strovale u jamu da više ne ustanu!	11 May the slanderer find no rest anywhere, may evil hunt down violent men implacably.
12 Opadač se neće održat’ na zemlji, silnika će odjednom zgrabiti nesreća.	12 I know that Yahweh wil give judgement for the wretched, justice for the needy.
13 Znam da će Jahve dati pravo ubogu i pravicu siromasima.	13 The upright shal praise your name, the honest dwel in your presence.
14 Zaista, pravedni će tvoje ime slaviti, pred tvojim će licem boraviti čestiti.
