Isaiah (ישעיה) - Isaia 97

MODERN HEBREW BIBLE	NEW JERUSALEM
1 יהוה מלך תגל הארץ ישמחו איים רבים	1 Yahweh is king! Let earth rejoice, the many isles be glad!
2 ענן וערפל סביביו צדק ומשפט מכון כסאו	2 Cloud, black cloud enfolds him, saving justice and judgement the foundations of his throne.
3 אש לפניו תלך ותלהט סביב צריו	3 Fire goes before him, sets ablaze his enemies al around;
4 האירו ברקיו תבל ראתה ותחל הארץ	4 his lightning-flashes light up the world, the earth sees it and quakes.
5 הרים כדונג נמסו מלפני יהוה מלפני אדון כל הארץ	5 The mountains melt like wax, before the Lord of all the earth.
6 הגידו השמים צדקו וראו כל העמים כבודו	6 The heavens proclaim his saving justice, all nations see his glory.
7 יבשו כל עבדי פסל המתהללים באלילים השתחוו לו כל אלהים	7 Shame on all who serve images, who pride themselves on their idols; bow down to him, al you gods!
8 שמעה ותשמח ציון ותגלנה בנות יהודה למען משפטיך יהוה	8 Zion hears and is glad, the daughters of Judah exult, because of your judgements, Yahweh.
9 כי אתה יהוה עליון על כל הארץ מאד נעלית על כל אלהים	9 For you are Yahweh, Most High over al the earth, far transcending al gods.
10 אהבי יהוה שנאו רע שמר נפשות חסידיו מיד רשעים יצילם	10 Yahweh loves those who hate evil, he keeps safe his faithful, rescues them from the clutches of thewicked.
11 אור זרע לצדיק ולישרי לב שמחה	11 Light dawns for the upright, and joy for honest hearts.
12 שמחו צדיקים ביהוה והודו לזכר קדשו	12 Rejoice in Yahweh, you who are upright, praise his unforgettable holiness.
