¹ לא לנו יהוה לא לנו כי לשמך תן כבוד על חסדך על אמתך	¹ Not to us, Yahweh, not to us, but to your name give the glory, for your faithful love and yourconstancy!
² למה יאמרו הגוים איה נא אלהיהם	² Why should the nations ask, 'Where is their God?'
³ ואלהינו בשמים כל אשר חפץ עשה	³ Our God is in heaven, he creates whatever he chooses.
⁴ עצביהם כסף וזהב מעשה ידי אדם	⁴ They have idols of silver and gold, made by human hands.
⁵ פה להם ולא ידברו עינים להם ולא יראו	⁵ These have mouths but say nothing, have eyes but see nothing,
⁶ אזנים להם ולא ישמעו אף להם ולא יריחון	⁶ have ears but hear nothing, have noses but smel nothing.
⁷ ידיהם ולא ימישון רגליהם ולא יהלכו לא יהגו בגרונם	⁷ They have hands but cannot feel, have feet but cannot walk, no sound comes from their throats.
⁸ כמוהם יהיו עשיהם כל אשר בטח בהם	⁸ Their makers wil end up like them, and al who rely on them.
⁹ ישראל בטח ביהוה עזרם ומגנם הוא	⁹ House of Israel, rely on Yahweh; he is their help and their shield.
¹⁰ בית אהרן בטחו ביהוה עזרם ומגנם הוא	¹⁰ House of Aaron, rely on Yahweh; he is their help and their shield.
¹¹ יראי יהוה בטחו ביהוה עזרם ומגנם הוא	¹¹ You who fear Yahweh, rely on Yahweh; he is their help and their shield.
¹² יהוה זכרנו יברך יברך את בית ישראל יברך את בית אהרן	¹² Yahweh wil keep us in mind, he will bless, he wil bless the House of Israel, he wil bless the Houseof Aaron,
¹³ יברך יראי יהוה הקטנים עם הגדלים	¹³ he wil bless those who fear Yahweh, small and great alike.
¹⁴ יסף יהוה עליכם עליכם ועל בניכם	¹⁴ May Yahweh add to your numbers, yours and your children's too!
¹⁵ ברוכים אתם ליהוה עשה שמים וארץ	¹⁵ May you be blessed by Yahweh, who made heaven and earth.
¹⁶ השמים שמים ליהוה והארץ נתן לבני אדם	¹⁶ Heaven belongs to Yahweh, but earth he has given to the children of Adam.
¹⁷ לא המתים יהללו יה ולא כל ירדי דומה	¹⁷ The dead cannot praise Yahweh, those who sink into silence,
¹⁸ ואנחנו נברך יה מעתה ועד עולם הללו יה	¹⁸ but we, the living, shal bless Yahweh, henceforth and for ever.
