1 Corinthians 3

1 And so, brothers, I was not able to talk to you as spiritual people; I had to talk to you as people stilliving by your natural inclinations, stil infants in Christ;	1 ܘܐܢܐ ܐܚܝ ܠܐ ܐܫܟܚܬ ܕܐܡܠܠ ܥܡܟܘܢ ܐܝܟ ܕܥܡ ܪܘܚܢܐ ܐܠܐ ܐܝܟ ܕܥܡ ܦܓܪܢܐ ܘܐܝܟ ܕܠܝܠܘܕܐ ܒܡܫܝܚܐ ܀
2 I fed you with milk and not solid food, for you were not yet able to take it -- and even now, you are stilnot able to,	2 ܚܠܒܐ ܐܫܩܝܬܟܘܢ ܘܠܐ ܝܗܒܬ ܠܟܘܢ ܡܐܟܘܠܬܐ ܠܐ ܓܝܪ ܥܕܟܝܠ ܡܫܟܚܝܢ ܗܘܝܬܘܢ ܐܠܐ ܐܦܠܐ ܗܫܐ ܡܫܟܚܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܀
3 for you are still living by your natural inclinations. As long as there are jealousy and rivalry among you,that surely means that you are stil living by your natural inclinations and by merely human principles.	3 ܥܕܟܝܠ ܓܝܪ ܒܒܤܪ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܐܝܟܐ ܓܝܪ ܕܐܝܬ ܒܟܘܢ ܚܤܡܐ ܘܚܪܝܢܐ ܘܦܠܓܘܬܐ ܠܐ ܗܐ ܦܓܪܢܐ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܘܒܒܤܪ ܡܗܠܟܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܀
4 While there is one that says, 'I belong to Paul' and another that says, 'I belong to Apol os' are you notbeing only too human?	4 ܡܐ ܕܐܡܪ ܓܝܪ ܐܢܫ ܐܢܫ ܡܢܟܘܢ ܐܢܐ ܕܦܘܠܘܤ ܐܢܐ ܘܐܚܪܢܐ ܐܡܪ ܐܢܐ ܕܐܦܠܘ ܐܢܐ ܠܐ ܗܐ ܦܓܪܢܐ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܀
5 For what is Apollos and what is Paul? The servants through whom you came to believe, and each hasonly what the Lord has given him.	5 ܡܢܘ ܓܝܪ ܦܘܠܘܤ ܐܘ ܡܢܘ ܐܦܠܘ ܐܠܐ ܡܫܡܫܢܐ ܕܒܐܝܕܝܗܘܢ ܗܝܡܢܬܘܢ ܘܐܢܫ ܐܢܫ ܐܝܟ ܕܝܗܒ ܠܗ ܡܪܝܐ ܀
6 I did the planting, Apol os did the watering, but God gave growth.	6 ܐܢܐ ܢܨܒܬ ܘܐܦܠܘ ܐܫܩܝ ܐܠܐ ܐܠܗܐ ܪܒܝ ܀
7 In this, neither the planter nor the waterer counts for anything; only God, who gives growth.	7 ܠܐ ܗܟܝܠ ܗܘ ܕܢܨܒ ܐܝܬܘܗܝ ܡܕܡ ܘܠܐ ܗܘ ܕܡܫܩܐ ܐܠܐ ܐܠܗܐ ܕܡܪܒܐ ܀
8 It is al one who does the planting and who does the watering, and each will have the proper pay for thework that he has done.	8 ܡܢ ܕܢܨܒ ܕܝܢ ܘܡܢ ܕܡܫܩܐ ܚܕ ܐܢܘܢ ܘܐܢܫ ܐܝܟ ܥܡܠܗ ܐܓܪܗ ܡܩܒܠ ܀
9 After all, we do share in God's work; you are God's farm, God's building.	9 ܥܡ ܐܠܗܐ ܓܝܪ ܦܠܚܝܢܢ ܘܦܘܠܚܢܐ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܘܒܢܝܢܐ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܐܢܘܢ ܀
10 By the grace of God which was given to me, I laid the foundations like a trained master-builder, andsomeone else is building on them. Now each one must be careful how he does the building.	10 ܘܐܝܟ ܛܝܒܘܬܐ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܕܐܬܝܗܒܬ ܠܝ ܤܡܬ ܫܬܐܤܬܐ ܐܝܟ ܐܪܕܟܠܐ ܚܟܝܡܐ ܐܚܪܢܐ ܕܝܢ ܥܠܝܗ ܒܢܐ ܟܠܢܫ ܕܝܢ ܢܚܙܐ ܐܝܟܢ ܒܢܐ ܥܠܝܗ ܀
11 For nobody can lay down any other foundation than the one which is there already, namely JesusChrist.	11 ܫܬܐܤܬܐ ܓܝܪ ܐܚܪܬܐ ܤܛܪ ܡܢ ܗܕܐ ܕܤܝܡܐ ܐܢܫ ܠܐ ܡܫܟܚ ܠܡܤܡ ܕܐܝܬܝܗ ܝܫܘܥ ܡܫܝܚܐ ܀
12 On this foundation, different people may build in gold, silver, jewels, wood, hay or straw	12 ܘܐܢ ܐܢܫ ܕܝܢ ܒܢܐ ܥܠ ܗܕܐ ܫܬܐܤܬܐ ܕܗܒܐ ܐܘ ܤܐܡܐ ܐܘ ܟܐܦܐ ܝܩܝܪܬܐ ܐܘ ܩܝܤܐ ܐܘ ܥܡܝܪܐ ܐܘ ܚܒܬܐ ܀
13 but each person's handiwork wil be shown for what it is. The Day which dawns in fire will make it clearand the fire itself wil test the quality of each person's work.	13 ܥܒܕܐ ܕܟܠܢܫ ܡܬܓܠܐ ܝܘܡܐ ܓܝܪ ܗܘ ܓܠܐ ܠܗ ܡܛܠ ܕܒܢܘܪܐ ܡܬܓܠܐ ܘܥܒܕܗ ܕܟܠܢܫ ܐܝܟܢܐ ܐܝܬܘܗܝ ܢܘܪܐ ܬܦܪܫܝܘܗܝ ܀
14 The one whose work stands up to it wil be given his wages;	14 ܘܐܝܢܐ ܕܢܩܘܐ ܥܒܕܗ ܗܘ ܕܒܢܐ ܐܓܪܗ ܢܩܒܠ ܀
15 the one whose work is burnt down wil suffer the loss of it, though he himself will be saved; he wil besaved as someone might expect to be saved from a fire.	15 ܘܐܝܢܐ ܕܥܒܕܗ ܢܐܩܕ ܢܚܤܪ ܗܘ ܕܝܢ ܢܫܬܘܙܒ ܗܟܢܐ ܕܝܢ ܐܝܟ ܕܡܢ ܢܘܪܐ ܀
16 Do you not realise that you are a temple of God with the Spirit of God living in you?	16 ܠܐ ܝܕܥܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܕܗܝܟܠܗ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܘܪܘܚܗ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܥܡܪܐ ܒܟܘܢ ܀
17 If anybody should destroy the temple of God, God will destroy that person, because God's temple isholy; and you are that temple.	17 ܘܡܢ ܕܡܚܒܠ ܗܝܟܠܗ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܡܚܒܠ ܠܗ ܐܠܗܐ ܗܝܟܠܗ ܓܝܪ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܩܕܝܫ ܗܘ ܕܐܢܬܘܢ ܐܢܘܢ ܀
18 There is no room for self-delusion. Any one of you who thinks he is wise by worldly standards mustlearn to be a fool in order to be real y wise.	18 ܐܢܫ ܠܐ ܢܛܥܐ ܢܦܫܗ ܡܢ ܕܤܒܪ ܒܟܘܢ ܕܚܟܝܡ ܗܘ ܒܥܠܡܐ ܗܢܐ ܢܗܘܐ ܠܗ ܤܟܠܐ ܕܢܗܘܐ ܚܟܝܡܐ ܀
19 For the wisdom of the world is folly to God. As scripture says: He traps the crafty in the snare of theirown cunning	19 ܚܟܡܬܗ ܓܝܪ ܕܥܠܡܐ ܗܢܐ ܠܠܘܬܐ ܗܝ ܠܘܬ ܐܠܗܐ ܟܬܝܒ ܗܘ ܓܝܪ ܕܐܚܕ ܚܟܝܡܐ ܒܚܪܥܘܬܗܘܢ ܀
20 and again: The Lord knows the plans of the wise and how insipid they are.	20 ܘܬܘܒ ܡܪܝܐ ܝܕܥ ܡܚܫܒܬܗܘܢ ܕܚܟܝܡܐ ܕܤܪܝܩܢ ܐܢܝܢ ܀
21 So there is to be no boasting about human beings: everything belongs to you,	21 ܡܛܠ ܗܢܐ ܠܐ ܐܢܫ ܢܫܬܒܗܪ ܒܒܢܝܢܫܐ ܟܠܡܕܡ ܓܝܪ ܕܝܠܟܘܢ ܗܘ ܀
22 whether it is Paul, or Apol os, or Cephas, the world, life or death, the present or the future -- al belongto you;	22 ܐܢ ܦܘܠܘܤ ܘܐܢ ܐܦܠܘ ܘܐܢ ܟܐܦܐ ܘܐܢ ܥܠܡܐ ܘܐܢ ܚܝܐ ܘܐܢ ܡܘܬܐ ܘܐܢ ܕܩܝܡܢ ܘܐܢ ܕܥܬܝܕܢ ܟܠ ܡܕܡ ܕܝܠܟܘܢ ܗܘ ܀
23 but you belong to Christ and Christ belongs to God.	23 ܘܐܢܬܘܢ ܕܡܫܝܚܐ ܘܡܫܝܚܐ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܀
