Livre de Zacharie 2

JERUSALEM	NEW AMERICAN BIBLE
1 Puis je levai les yeux et j'eus une vision. Voici: il y avait quatre cornes.	1 I raised my eyes and looked; there were four horns.
2 Je dis à l'ange qui me parlait: "Que sont ces cornes?" Il me dit: "Ce sont les cornes qui ont disperséJuda (Israël) et Jérusalem."	2 Then I asked the angel who spoke with me what these were. He answered me, "These are the horns that scattered Judah and Israeland Jerusalem."
3 Puis Yahvé me fit voir quatre forgerons.	3 Then the LORD showed me four blacksmiths. And I asked, "What are these coming to do?"
4 Et je dis: "Que viennent faire ceux-ci?" Il me dit: (Celles-là sont les cornes qui ont dispersé Juda,au point que personne n'osait redresser la tête; mais) ceux-ci sont venus pour les effrayer, pour abattre les cornesdes nations qui élevaient la corne contre le pays de Juda afin de le disperser."	4 And he said, "Here are the horns that scattered Judah, so that no man raised his head any more; but these have come to terrify them: to cast down the horns of the nations that raised their horns to scatter the land of Judah."
5 Puis je levai les yeux et j'eus une vision. Voici: il y avait un homme, et dans sa main, un cordeaupour mesurer.	5 Again I raised my eyes and looked: there was a man with a measuring line in his hand.
6 Je lui dis: "Où vas-tu?" Il me dit: "Mesurer Jérusalem, pour voir quelle est sa largeur et quelle estsa longueur."	6 "Where are you going?" I asked. "To measure Jerusalem," he answered; "to see how great is its width and how great its length."
7 Et voici: l'ange qui me parlait s'avança et un autre ange s'avança au devant de lui.	7 Then the angel who spoke with me advanced, and another angel came out to meet him,
8 Il lui dit: "Cours, parle à ce jeune homme et dis-lui: Jérusalem doit rester ouverte, à cause de laquantité d'hommes et de bétail qui s'y trouve.	8 and said to him, "Run, tell this to that young man: People will live in Jerusalem as though in open country, because of the multitude of men and beasts in her midst.
9 Quand à moi, je serai pour elle - oracle de Yahvé - une muraille de feu tout autour, et je serai saGloire."	9 But I will be for her an encircling wall of fire, says the LORD, and I will be the glory in her midst."
10 Holà! Holà! Fuyez du pays du Nord - oracle de Yahvé - car aux quatre vents des cieux je vous aidispersés, oracle de Yahvé!	10 Up, up! Flee from the land of the north, says the LORD; for I scatter you to the four winds of heaven, says the LORD.
11 Holà! Sion, sauve-toi, toi qui habites chez la fille de Babylone.	11 Up, escape to Zion! you who dwell in daughter Babylon.
12 Car ainsi parle Yahvé Sabaot, après que la Gloire m'eût envoyé, à propos des nations qui vousdépouillèrent: "Qui vous touche, touche à la prunelle de mon oeil.	12 For thus said the LORD of hosts (after he had already sent me) concerning the nations that have plundered you: Whoever touches you touches the apple of my eye.
13 Voici que je lève la main sur elles, pour qu'elles soient le butin de leurs esclaves." Alors voussaurez que Yahvé Sabaot m'a envoyé!	13 See, I wave my hand over them; they become plunder for their slaves. Thus you shall know that the LORD of hosts has sent me.
14 Chante, réjouis-toi, fille de Sion, car voici que je viens pour demeurer au milieu de toi, oracle deYahvé!	14 Sing and rejoice, O daughter Zion! See, I am coming to dwell among you, says the LORD.
15 Des nations nombreuses s'attacheront à Yahvé, en ce jour-là: elles seront pour lui un peuple. Elleshabiteront au milieu de toi et tu sauras que Yahvé Sabaot m'a envoyé vers toi.	15 Many nations shall join themselves to the LORD on that day, and they shall be his people, and he will dwell among you, and you shall know that the LORD of hosts has sent me to you.
16 Mais Yahvé possédera Juda comme sa part sur la Terre Sainte et choisira encore Jérusalem.	16 The LORD will possess Judah as his portion of the holy land, and he will again choose Jerusalem.
17 Silence, toute chair, devant Yahvé, car il se réveille en sa sainte Demeure.	17 Silence, all mankind, in the presence of the LORD! for he stirs forth from his holy dwelling.
